Well what can I say about this series? I am one of the few who has seen 90% of it, I have seen all of it except for the first few episodes, but those don't really matter. Overall the series has excellent fights. We get 2 Super Saiyan 4s, Golden Were-Apes, and of course Dragon Ball. The only problem with this series is the continuity. I don't consider this part of the Dragon Ball series; not because Toriyama didn't work on it, but because it is screwed up. After DBZ ended, Gohan was super Gohan, and didn't turn Super Saiyan anymore, because he would be weaker, but in GT he was Super Saiyan. Second, this isn't wrong continuity, but there was no Gotenks. Just think how strong he would be in the future, probably stronger than Goku, but he was nowhere to be found. Third, the character ages. Everyone would be freaking old, but of course you could attribute this to Saiyan blood. Fourth, lots of villains that could not have lived such as Cooler were in it. But the show was good fun none the less. I would recommend watching it, its very entertaining, but it just ain't right!
On the Funimation Action Figure product page, there is a mysterious figure named Hercule. As I waited for the image to load, I was in complete suspense. The picture developed and who did I see, but Mr. Satan. More Censorship in the lowest of places. I realize that this is a mostly christian country, but come on, Hercule? That is the worst name ever, we are keeping children away from wonderful devices such as puns and hidden meanings. The least we could do is change it to something similar. I emailed the guy at "Dragon Ball Z Uncensored," and I hope that he posts something on his page, because he receives thousands more hits than I do.
Well what can I say, I'm amazed that I kept doing the page this long. I've gone through many different name changes, and I think I will stick with "Kami's Palace." I've offed many sections, and I'm happy with these right now, but I'm going to redesign the opinions page definitely, that way it will be much nicer. Well the RPG is growing up, and going very nicely. I'm very happy about that, especially with the amount of response from people. I really like doing the web page, and I'll stick with it a while and hone my abilities so they page can be even better (well that's a matter of opinion of course). I've gotten many an email saying how much people like the site, and I really appreciate the support, I'll try to keep things interesting. One year count approximately 4742. Not bad for a site that gets no plugs ever.
You know, after you start watching Dragon Ball for a while, the storyline gets a little predictable. Sometimes I almost like it better when the characters are just hanging out. No I'm not saying that the filler episodes with Bulma are great, but the ones where there is some character development. I think it's because the fights are so long and drawn out that I start to lose interest. I guess the hanging out episodes were designed for TV, while the fighting seems to be better in the manga in my opinion. Well I just though I should say that.
I am sick and freaking tired of going on people's websites and reading the "little known facts" about Dragon Ball. My favorite is the one, Trunks can't count because the Androids in the future were 19 and 20 but in the past they were 17 and 18. Folks I don't know if you know this, but when Trunks went to the past, he changed it up a bit, you see thats how they were able to make a Buu Saga cause all the Z warriors survived. I beg of you take down the stupid opinional "little known facts" that are completely irrelevant.
Well Funimation has done it again. Technically it isn't there fault that the videos are messed up, but it is. Basically Dragon Ball Z is doomed to failure in the US. Look at it, they take forever to make the episodes, then the episodes are messed up. I've been to Suncoast about 18 times this month asking them "when are the new Dragon Ball videos coming in?" Thank God/Allah/Jehova/Yaweh/Buddha that Super 5 is up and running. Otherwise I might have never seen any of the series. Why can't they get it right? Thousands of other series have come out succesfully, but not Dragon Ball, it is continually screwed. I hate to say it, but I'd rather have Manga take it over just so we can see the episodes eventually next millenium.
Well if you're like me, you were ecstatic when the email arrived. Now certain issues must be addressed. For one I think that the "next dimension" cliche will be dropped, because I was watching "The World's Strongest" today and they said die. Next less violence will probably be cut out because the episodes are being released on video before they are on Cartoon Network. Hopefully the series will be untainted on video, and CN will do their own editing for Television. The announcement said that the next season will encompass all of Goku's fight with Freeza, and hopefully too much won't be cut out to fit it in. I watched some of the episodes as fansubs, and I saw many spots where 10 or 20 seconds could be cut out without destroying the story. Hopefully there will be very little tampering. Well al I can say is that I am overjoyed that the new season will come out, and all I can hope for now is that the android series will eventually come out and then the Buu saga. Good job Funimation!
Well Cartoon Network is starting to get stupid. They won't by the new episodes until they see if ratings remain high. This is kind of dumb, because I have seen all of those episodes three times already (at least, some even 5 or 6 times). So you want us to watch reruns until you deem it appropriate to invest further money into it. It would seem that Cartoon Network should start producing episodes now, so that when interest lulls in the show, they could release all of the new episodes sparking great interest. But that would be dumb, because it almost makes sense.
Many people are puzzled as to what those small dots on Krillin's head are. Many people think they are nostrils. That's probably one of the dumbest ideas. If you know about the original Dragon Ball, Krillin trained in the Shaolin Temple for 8 years. In the Shaolin temple back in the old days, monks would often have incense burns on their heads to show devotion. It was made illegal back during the cultural revolution in the 60s when the commie bastards took over. So there you go folks, Krillin has incense burns on his forehead not 6 nostrils.
