Ru Baraba Dom, one of the leading Captains of the Raiigon Empire. He runs into Azalyn when she's upset about the death of her father, and offers her some very good advice. After that, he ends up becoming one of the first people she consults when she needs advice about something (remember, this whole Empress thing is still new to her...). A brilliant tactician, he's great at figuring out people. He is the first person in the series who figure's out just what Tylor's all about...
