Takenori Akagi


Akagi is the team captain of the Shohoku Basket Ball Team. When he started to play b ball, he couldn't do jack, but now he is one of the top three centers in Japan ( or the comic book ), he is really smart and his grades are the kind that your momma wants. Akagi is a really hard working player and has a very difficult job of being team cap. Why? Because Sakuragi and Rukawa are always fighting, or arguing or just doing something that pisses him off. In the last series, Akagi quitted the b ball team and became a regular college student. I think it's pretty sad that Mr. Inoue arranged it this way, I can't think of how the second series are going to be without Gorilla!
