Let me see.....Well Sakuragi is a very confusing character, the reason that he started to play basket ball is because that he has this crush on the sister of Akagi ( team captain of the B ball team ). Sakuragi has a very impressive jumping ability, so he grabs most of the rebounds for his team. He is always competeing against Rukawa, Shohoku's star player even though it is useless. Before Sakuragi played B ball, he was a known trouble maker, or a punk. Actually almost all the guys in Shohoku B ball team are punks, but Sakuragi beat them all! He has this very close group of four friends, a fat one, one with blond hair, one with a mustache and one that most girls consider good lookin. These four formed into something called the Sakuragi Gundam or the Hanamichi Gundam ( one of these two is right), they went to almost every basket ball game that he attended and Akagi's sis got to be very good friends with them to. In the end Sakuragi sustainded a back injury and is resting, so he can play in the winter playoffs!! He also changed his hairdo again, its sort of like Sendoh's short and spiky, looks pretty good.
