Steven Hill is married and lives in Monsey, New York. He was awarded the Sylvania Award for best actor in 1954 and was nominated for an Emmy for his role in "The Sacco-Venzetti Story."

Before Steven Hill starred as District Attorney Adam Schiff, Roy Thinnes portrayed D.A. -- in the original "Law & Order" pilot. Mr. Thinnes appeared opposite Ice-T in the new Universal/Wolf Films series on NBC, "Players."

He is well remembered as Dan Briggs in "Mission Impossible." Lee Strasberg has called him one of the finest actors America has ever produced, He has been with Law & Order since it began running on NBC.
