It all began on planet Eden, with three friends. Seven years ago they were friends: Isamu the high spirited youth, Myung the songstress, and Guld the half Zentraedi. Isamu and Guld lived their dream of flying and Myung gave her dream of singing up after a terrible incident. All three went their separate ways only to return to the painful memories seven years later . . .
Macross Plus is OAV series released in the US. At first I didn't know what the hype was all about and ignored a lot of the sites. But then, at a video store, I saw all four tapes. It knocked my socks off. The music was haunting, the characters were realistic, and the mecha was way out there. I believe Macross Plus has the best mecha I've seen. So I bought the series, and two of the soundtrack. I am a Sharon Apple fan also (even though she's virtual). I highly recommend seeing the movie and video. Sure, the series is a lot darker than the original Macross. But it has the same themes of music, mecha, and love triangle. Macross Plus is not for the kiddies, but its for the young at heart.
