Family:
Minako lives with both parents near Shiba Park in Minato-ku, Tokyo. She keeps Artemis as a pet. She moved to London briefly while in pursuit of the Dark Kingdom. There she met Katarina, who became her oneechan.
Personality:
Minako is perpetually perky and almost as clumsy as Usagi. In fact, she is often seen acting in unison with the odangoed one. Despite the fact that she is the senshi of love, she seems to have serious love issues (Higashi {way back there…}, Alan, Asai, Yaten, etc.). Minako is impulsive, but she will take the time think things through when it counts. Her main passion is volleyball, though she was forced to give it up after she returned from London because of all her additional responsibilities. Minako's other passion is idols (of the teen kind, not the wooden ones). She worships them and longs to be one herself. She is extremely absent-minded and is known to constantly mis-quote famous sayings. She has somewhat of a warped sense of humor, leaving the others to barely understand her jokes [meshiya-messiah, teeheehee]. Minako does not believe in giving up, and her motto is "don't get up from falling without picking up something."
Relationships:
Artemis is Minako's guardian and partner. The two usually work well together, though sometimes Artemis can be insensitive to Minako's feelings. Minako feels free to hit Artemis around when he bothers her.
Minako and Usagi are very good friends because of their similar personalities. They like to blow off studying together to go and play at the arcade or flirt with hot guys. When she's not acting like Usagi, Minako and Rei seem to get on quite well. They're often found in agreement on how to deal with tough situations. Minako also gets on well with Ami, though she sometimes has to try to persuade Ami to leave the textbooks at home. Ami is the one who tries to correct Minako's proverbs and poor jokes. Minako and Makoto are close friends, despite their occasional spat. They usually team up to beat down the bad guys and make an excellent duo.
Minako and Chibi Usa are basically buddies. Chibi Usa looks to Minako for fashion advice and thoughts on not wetting the bed. Minako and Mamoru get along fine, though there is little about their actual relationship.
Minako's had plenty of men pass through her life. She was quite in love with a boy named Alan back in London, but when he and Katarina thought she died in an explosion, Minako realized that the two were actually in love with each other. Then there's Asai, a volleyball teammate who used to have a crush on Minako (the feeling being mutual), but who now has a girlfriend, leaving poor Minako to pine (but Artemis took care of her ^_^). Let's not forget Hawk's Eye and Tiger's Eye rivaling for Minako's affections ^_^ Then there was Yaten, an idol singer who just happened to be a transvestite sailor senshi. Minako developed a bit of a crush on the silver-haired Light. But he left to return to his home planet, once again leaving poor Minako to pine.
When Minako first met Haruka, she thought she was a boy and developed a crush on her. Only to realize that Haruka was a girl. She still looks up to Haruka, though she wasn't too thrilled with her as the rejecting Uranus. Minako also seems to look up to Michiru and Setsuna, as they are a couple of cool chicks. She takes a liking to Hotaru, as well.

Episode 33: The Final Sailor Senshi, Venus Appears!
A fake Sailor Moon has been parading around town, saving people. Usagi and Makoto witness one of her daring rescues first hand. Usagi is grieved that someone would steal her name, while Makoto thinks it best to contact the others. In the crowd, a strange blond girl observes the scene.
But this fake Sailor Moon is really Zoisite, and this entire incident has been a plot to lure Tuxedo Kamen in to give the Dark Kingdom his nijizuishou. The sailor senshi are trapped in a forcefield by Kunzite and an injured Tuxedo Kamen is left alone to fight Zoisite. But when all seems lost, a mysterious figure appears and utters the words "Crescent Beam."
Shocked, Zoisite turns to look at the girl, but she is gone. As is Tuxedo Kamen. Returning to Kunzite, Zoisite calls out threats to Tuxedo Kamen, threatening to kill the senshi. But as he is about to give in and show himself, a new senshi appears.
"No matter how hard it is, you shouldn't give up!"
Using her crescent beam, Sailor Venus frees the senshi from their prison. But as Sailor Moon gets a good look a Venus, she realizes that the new senshi is actually her idol, Sailor V. Then Artemis appears, telling her that she is right. Zoisite wants to fight them, but Queen Beryl orders him and Kunzite to return to the Dark Kingdom.
The sailor team has been completed. But there is still one missing link.
"Are you the princess?" Sailor Moon asks.
Venus just smiles.
Episode 42: Sailor Venus' sad past! Minako's bitter love.
Minako receives a phone call and is quick to leave. It is her oneechan Katarina, an INTERPOL police officer she knew back in her days as Sailor V in London. Katarina wants to work with Sailor V and the other senshi. Minako asks her about Alan. Katarina says that he is fine, then persists in wanting to work with the senshi. Minako doesn't want to get her involved and runs out of the room. Katarina is stopped from going after her by Kunzite, who turns her into a youma.
The youma comes after Minako, who transforms into Sailor Venus. But she realizes that the monster is Katarina and can't fight her. Usagi arrives and uses the luna pen to transform into a sailor. She and Venus escape on a boat, but Katarina follows them. The two escape and get onto a cruise ship.
It's then that Venus reveals her past. Minako had been in love with a boy named Alan back in London. While saving a little girl as Sailor V, she met Katarina. Katarina became like her big sister, and along with Alan, the three were inseparable. But then it was rumored that Sailor V died in an explosion. Alan and Katarina sought comfort in each others' arms. Minako saw this and was incredibly hurt, but she knew the two were happy together. She left London and never looked back.
Then the youma arrived and attacked them. Moon was going to defeat Katarina for stealing Minako's boyfriend, but Venus stopped her. Venus understood that Alan liked Katarina. Moon healed Katarina and the two embraced.
Later, Katarina left on a boat. Minako offered a prayer for her and Alan to be happy together.
