Author's Notes : I say this would be my best fanfic yet....However, you know that something in this story will never happen...so, if it sucks to you, it sucks....but to me, I say it is pretty interesting....however, Im not done yet!!! ^-^
Remember: This is a preview of it.....so I still have to add more as time goes by....but for now, enjoy my story of what I have SO FAR! hehe...^-^
Chapter One
Duo's heart stopped as Hirde crawled closer on her couch. He smiled a little, but he knew she could tell his scareness. Think, Duo afraid of a little fun with a girl?? She stopped and frowned looking in his eyes.
"What's wrong Duo?" She asked.
"N...Nothing at all," he replied, his voice shaking. Hirde sighed and backed off as Duo relaxed from being tense.
"Puh-lease Duo, you act like this all the time...it's not like Im going to bite your or something." She smiled sheepishly as he tensed once again.
"Im sorry Hirde, but I can't." He replied, not wanting to tell her that he was afraid of falling in love and then losing her.
"Why not?" She fumed.
"It's a secret!" He smirked, feeling a bit better.
"Tell me! Please!" She begged.
"Nope, sorry..." He smiled as he got up and walked towards the kitchen.
"Uh, no fair!" She whined and stuck out her tongue. Duo winked back as he stumbled into the kitchen barely missing the expensive china ware on her table. She couldn't help, but laugh.
"Becareful Duo!" She called to him as she huddled up on the couch.
"Hey, Hirdey, where's the food around here?" He exclaimed.
"Oh dammit! I forgot again!" She cried. Duo strolled in with a curious, yet serious look on his face.
"What's with you lately? You never forget o get food when you run out," he replied.
"I don't know, Duo, maybe Im not having the greatest week," she whispered looking up at him.
"The greatest week?" He smiled. "You have to chill, Hirde...it's not the end of the world, you know." She smiled, and got up heading towards the door. Duo watched her every move.
"Anything special from the store, that you want?" She asked.
"Nah, just make sure it's good!" He smiled.
"Okay, be back in a little while." She started out the door when he stopped her.
"Wait,"
"Yes?"
"Becareful Hirde, you never know what may happen with so much chaos going on." She gave him a smile.
"I will," she kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for caring." She walked out the door leaving the wide-eyed Duo in shock behind. He shook his head trying to not think of it. He crept his hand and felt his cheek where she had placed the kiss.
"Wow," he whispered closing the door and walking into the living room.
One Hour Later.....
Duo sat patiently wondering where Hirde could be and wondering why she was taking so long. He figured that she was buying extra stuff just for him and he smiled at that thought. He sat up and picked up the remote control.
"I wonder what's on the old tube." He said as he turned on the TV bringing the Six 'O Clock news on.
"Today," the newsman reported. "The local store in Colony L2 went up in flames from a surprise fire." Duo's heart stopped in shock praying that it wasn't the corner shop that Hirde went to!
"The fire was caused by robbers who stole the amount of nine hundred dollars and taking with them, a young lady." The man continued as the TV showed the picture of the corner store in which Duo had prayed that it wasn't.
"Hirde..." He whispered growing angry.
"The woman who they took was a young girl of fifteen and her name was Hirde, or as an old lady had told us who also witnessed this horror scene!" Duo clicked off the TV and everything immediately grew quiet. He breathed deeply in and out.
"HIRDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He cried standing up and storming out the door. He took off running towards the corner store. When he got there he saw a police man who was busy talking with victims. Duo grabbed the police officer and turned him around facing him.
"Yes?" He asked.
"I want to see the pictures of who you think the robbers are that took Hirde!" He demanded.
"Im sorry son, but that is..." Duo interupted him.
"Look, I don't care if they are confidential or not, just show me the photos, dammit!" He exclaimed.
"O..okay," the officer cried going through a folder. "Here." Duo grabbed them out of his hand looking at two hideous robbers. One, with blue eyes and pitch black hair with a mustache. Another, brown eyes with rugged blonde hair pasted to his head. Duo grunted running off with them. The police man, unable to stop him.
