I've only seen the first volume a couple times, so I might mess up a few things, but here goes. Sakura Kinomoto is a 4th grade girl. She's a member of the cheerleading club, has a best friend, an annoying older brother who refers to her as "monster" most of the time, and a crush on her brother's friend Yukito. (Who's in 11th grade. I won't get started on the fact that they're 8 years apart, to the best of my knowledge...) Sakura wakes up one morning after having a strange dream- she's all dressed up, holding some sort of wand and standing on a building in front of Tokyo Tower. She suddenly jumps from the building, and wakes up to find it's time for breakfast. She goes downstairs, faces the usual monster deal, then shoves her food down her throat so she can rollerblade to school alongside Yukito and her brother (who are on bikes). Yukito is VERY kind to Sakura- If you ask me, their relationship is more brother-sister than boyfriend-girlfriend. Sakura talks to Yuki, and as he rides away he tosses her a candy. Sakura, completely smitten, finds her friend Tomoyo Daidouji, and they go to homeroom together. Tomoyo talks about her brand new video camera, and how she wants to film Sakura with it. Fast forward through the day to the next significant part- Sakura is at Cheerleading club, twirling the baton. Suddenly it turns into the wand/sceptre thing she was holding in her dream before her eyes, and the next thing she knows it's landing on her head. The girls all turn and stare, and one of them mentions how that happens every now and then. Sakura continues through practice, pushing the incident out of her mind. She arrives home to find her brother and father at work. Everything is fine until she begins to hear noises in the basement- monsters? Burglars? Sakura grabs her baton and slowly makes her way towards the noises coming from the study. When she gets down there she finds a book on the shelf that seems to be glowing- Sakura opens the book, and to her surprise it's full of cards. Even more to her surprise, the next second the cards go FLYING. When she opens her eyes again, there's Kero-chan, the guardian beast of the book. He asks where the Clow Cards are, and when he learns they have been scattered, appoints Sakura to be the new Card Captor. I PROMISE this will be more detailed and entertaining once I've watched volume one a few more times. -_-;;; Until then, enjoy the rest of the page!
