Millenium: Japanese Girls

The millenium is fast approaching and Japanese girls are leading the pack. If your image of a Japanese lady is a kimono and black hair, wake up! It's 1999 and things, they are a changin'. Even the traditional summer Yukata has been transformed into the mini-yukata and it only gets better from there. Japanese girls have taken the hand dealt to them and turned it into a full house. The Fall Feature is focusing on the changing face of modern Japan. Open your mind and learn a little about what is shaping the Japanese girl of 2000.

Fall Feature Contents:

• BODY - Bikini tops matched with Hawaiian print wrap skirts. Seen at Tokyo station this Summer. You won't believe the unique style Japanese girls have taken a liking to. Known for their superb fashion sense; has it gone from chic to cheap?
• FEET - Shoes that give a girl anywhere from 5 to 12 inches in additional height. Platforms are back in a big way. Will this look from the 70's walk, on the feet of Japanese girls, into the year 2000?

• LIPS - Pucker up and... Well, don't kiss me because you'll ruin my lips. Would you mix maroon liner with soft pink gloss and be able to pull it off? The Japanese girls have mastered it and, oh yeah sweety, it looks adorable.
• SKIN - Japanese girls have often imitated western culture and fashion, that's a given. With the approaching millenium, the girls have taken it a step further and started changing even their skin. Honey tanned barbies are in and they are all over the place.
