This is where I'll post the existing rules and materials for the CARDS RPG system plus any additions and corrections I might make on the game periodically. I'm going to write more modules and clarify the core rules in future updates. In the meantime, please direct questions or feedback at me. I'd appreciate it. Thank you. What is CARDS ? CARDS is a simple homebrewed role-playing system where the only materials involved are ordinary playing cards. Emphasis is placed on story-telling skills, speed and ease of play. How do I play it ? Just download the rules and any additional modules you require below. Explanations and examples are provided within the html files. You'll also need at least one pack of ordinary playing cards. What does the acronym CARDS stand for ? (C)reating (A) (R)eally (D)angerous (S)cenario? Maybe (C)utting (A) (R)eal (D)eal (S)oon? How about (C)apable (A)uthor (R)eally (D)oing (S)leep...? Seriously though, I haven't decided yet.

CARDS Core Rules (Version 1.32) Basic rules. You'll need this to use any additional modules I've created for the system. You may also download a Lite version of the rules for easy reference. CARDS Random Quest Generator Create random adventures for the CARDS system with this module. Introduces the use of a game board made out of playing cards. Children Of The Blue Star The first module from this orginal world has finally been written and posted below. The link above is still functional, and leads to a site detailing a few aspects of the fantasy world I've created quite a while ago.

Saber Marionette J This is my first attempt at a campaign module for the CARDS system. Provides the setting and rules for a CARDS campaign. SM J is a popular Anime / Manga series. The image on the right shows (from top to bottom) Bloodberry, Lime, Cherry, Otaru and Hanagata. They're all fighting over poor Otaru. Here's an image of Lime by Kanzaki Hiro. Saber Marionette R Module This is an add-on for the SM J Module. It contains summaries from the SM R Radio series and features new but similar characters.

Slayers My second attempt at a campaign module. This module is based on Shoko Yoshinaka's Manga series from the multi-platform Slayers world. The rules and scenarios in this module are much more comprehensive than those found in the SMJ module. The image on the left shows (from left to right and top to bottom): Zelgadiss Greywers, Rezo Greywers the Red Robed, Gourry Gabriev, and Lina Inverse. Here's an image I drew of Lina Inverse holding the Philosopher's Stone. Slayers Chapter 1 Revised Spell List now available. I will create a Slayers plug-in for the FUZION RPG system based on the original Slayers RPG books when I have the time, unless of course- you're already assembling one, in which case I'd be happy to join in.

Children Of The Blue Star The Chosen (60% completed) The first chapter in COTBS, this module chronicles the less than honorable dealings the Fell Hand was involved in during the time of unrest in the then Empire of Cianste. This series of modules attempts to explore various ways the C.A.R.D.S. rules can be tweaked. The illustration to the right shows Anadealecta the elf, (otherwise known as Adea), a major character in COTBS. Theme Song: Eternity This is an winzipped extended module music file. You can listen to it using WinAmp. This piece blends a tribal beat into something more futuristic, and conveys the feel of COTBS well.
