Tactic of the week

Leapfrog Attack

I promise... new tactic soon... Okay, maybe not...

Okay, fine. No new tactics. Ever. Just point and shoot. I had a new tactic! I just can't remember what it is! As soon as I remember, I promise, I won't have time to type it in. So, to make a long story longer, if'n you have a tactic, submit it to me, and I'll get it posted, depending on response. (BattleChat submissions accepted (Heavy Gear being considered)) Submit to Kioshi

BlackCat (DCMS 4th NSDA) and K. Ishitandai (DCMS 4th NSDA) showed what an elite fighting force like the 4th can do! Both Cat and Kioshi were filling out a fire lance on Solaris. It seemed that almost everyone on Solaris had a Catapult heavy mech or, at least, a variant. In this particular engagement, someone brought along a Banshee assault mech! Even for an elite mechwarrior in a heavy battlemech, a Banshee is a formidible adversary. The assault mech easily outclassed either Catapult by 30 tons. So, BlackCat and Kioshi decided to use teamwork to give themselves a 35-ton advantage. BlackCat took the lead full throtle with Kioshi a heartbeat behind--directly behind! The Cat launched salvos from both his missile launchers and fired his jump jets. Kioshi, now with a clear line of sight, launched his own missiles, followed by a barage of lasers. Then, BlackCat landed (on his feet) right in front of Kioshi, providing cover as Kioshi recharged and reloaded. The BlackCat's leap into the air gave him time to reload his own missiles and brought him into laser range. The Banshee was destroyed in seconds. The Angels exchanged quick congratulations over the com-link and turned to help the rest of the lance.
