MY PAGE Being in battle or the art of war itself is strongly associated with men. So the role of women as warriors would come as a surprise! There is nothing wrong with the homely counterpart of being draped in a kimono to bear and care for children and be a good housewife and homemaker, but we musn't forget that ancient history reserves a seat for an otherwise opposite female persona.
