Often soft-spoken (especially compared to Jinpachi), Issei also has a somewhat effeminate look about him. This is in large part due to the way he wears his hair, which resembles that of Shusuren. But perhaps it is also because he finds it difficult to shake off the spectre of his past as Enju. It is a constant torment for him to be friends with Jinpachi, because Enju's love for Gyokuren resurfaces in him as a love for his best friend. He chides himself for being a pervert, but still cannot help the way he feels.
Issei has some telepathic abilities, but they don't seem to be particularly strong. Apparently he can only sense the thoughts of those he is close to in an emotional sense. His shared dreams with Jinpachi seem to be the product of his telepathy.
In the manga, I heard, Issei and Sakura get engaged, just for the heck of it. O.o I am not sure if this is true, but I'll find out soon. I'm getting all of the PSME mangas and Illustration collections in.
I'll state my (so-called) opinions on him now. ^^
I kinda feel sorry for Issei. Enju was a female, and he’s struggling with controlling a woman’s emotions. Enju and Shusuren were best friends, and I am overjoyed that we became so close so quickly. Even though he’s the greatest, there’s a few problems...#1: He won’t listen to me. I tell him what wrong things he’s doing, and he does them anyway, and gets an emotional roller coaster ride. #2: Enju’s feelings for Gyokuren took control of Issei for a while, and Issei kissed Jinpachi (::sigh:: I TOLD him to forget him..but NOOOOOO...) and #3: Our parents get suspicious all the time. ::Groan:: Parents...
We usually treat ourselves to ice cream and tea at least once a week. It’s a highlight in my week, besides the meetings. But, hey, that’s me. ^^; Still, it’s great to have him as a close friend. ::Pinches Issei’s cheek:: SWEETIE!!
I just found out that Issei has an older sister....I do not remember her name at the time, but she is very proud of the fact of her brother being a bishonen (ie. "Oh! Onni-chan! Did I tell you how beautiful you look today?!" and "Onni-chaaaan! Don't mess up your pretty face!!!"). She tends to give me a difficult time, too...^^;
