Sailor Heart - Chapter 8
Well, I guess you're wondering who I am. I'll explain it as best I can because it's all still
to unreal for me too. My name is Adrien. I was a child of the Moon Kingdom and also a Sailor
Scout. In fact, my whole family turned out to be Sailor Scouts. I am Sailor Heart, the oldest
sibling. My four younger sisters, Sailors Earth, Wind and Fire are next in line followed by my
youngest sister Sailor Water. Through good sense on Queen Serenity's part, the five of us were
reborn into the same Earth family as well.
We realized that we were Sailor Scouts when we found a tiger-striped cat with a crescent
moon of his head who called himself Poseidon. Once he realized who we were, he told us about
our Moon Kingdom past. We were the Sailor Elements trained under Poseidon, father of Luna.
Our mission was to protect all the Sailor Scouts and especially our Princess Serena. On the day
that the Negaverse attacked, Queen Serenity unleashed the power of the Imperial Silver Crystal
trapping the seven shadows and us and sending us into the future.
While fighting the Negaverse in our home country of Canada, probably the only Sailor
Scouts born outside of Japan, we were captured by Jedite and Malachite. Unspeakable horrors
were made evident to us while we were imprisoned. An escape attempt resulted in my freedom
and I haven't been able to make another attempt to go back and try to get my family back.
It was around this time that I met Lita Makoto. Our relationship is detailed earlier so I
won't go into it again. When I found out that she was a Sailor Scout as well, I knew that if there
were more, we could raid the Negaverse and get my family back. I met each of the other Scouts
and as a result, we became great friends.
I only told the Scouts about my sisters recently. I was reluctant to because I was still not
sure I could trust them; Lita was the only exception. When Serena heard that my family had been
captured, she knew that she had to get them back. As I explained my story, Luna had asked what
had happened to Poseidon, not knowing that he was her father. Poseidon was an adventurer and
explorer, having characteristics like Artemis. He came to Earth before the war under Queen
Serenity's orders so that they could find a safe haven for the children of the moon. When Serenity
used her Silver Imperium Crystal to trap everybody, even though he was on Earth, Poseidon was
also transported to the future. While he trained us, during a battle with Jedite and Malachite, he
was killed. In his last moments he explained to us that there were more Sailor Scouts as well as
his daughter... Luna. We were to find them and protect them at all costs. It was during this battle
that we were captured.
As I said this, I noticed that Luna had started to cry and Artemis had put a paw around
her. As far as she knew, her father disappeared before the war and she hoped he was still alive.
Her mother, Juno had died in the first Negaverse attack so she had no family until she met
Artemis. I told Luna that her father knew what had happened and while he was trying to find her,
he found us instead. He knew all along that she had guided Sailor Moon and the others and that
he was proud of her.
It was decided then and there that we would all go into the Negaverse and get back my
kin. After transforming and reviewing all of our powers, we teleported into the Negaverse and
Sailor Mercury used her computer to track down my sisters. We must have travelled for days
until we came across a huge castle.
"I guess this must be Queen Beryl's old place. It changed since I was last here. Anybody
home?" I mused softly.
"Where is everybody?" asked Jupiter, impatiently. "I want to kick some butt!"
"The time for fighting will come soon enough" said Mercury, cool as a cucumber.
"How do we get in? I mean, they're not just going to provide us with an open door."
asked Venus, becoming somewhat sarcastic. As she said this, the wall in front of us parted into
two doors and rotated inward.
"You were saying?" asked Moon giggling.
"Don't be such a dingbat, Sailor Moon." snapped Mars "Obviously it's a trap. Be on your
guard everybody."
"We're always on guard!" said Jupiter and I together. As we did, a large tentacle charged
at us. Keeping true to our word, as the other girls were caught unaware, we attacked it.
"Jupiter! Thunder! Crash!"
"Heart! Megapunch! KO!"
And with that, what ever it was, retreated back to wherever it came from.
"Already?!?!?! I was hoping for a little more action than that!" Said Jupiter a little
annoyed.
"Patience, love. I'm sure there'll be plenty more where that came from." said I.
As we continued down the dark corridor, noises filled the air and strange smells filled our
nostrils. It reeked in there but we had to go on. I remembered that there we'd soon be coming to
a crossroads and that we were to turn to the left. I had already been to the right so I knew what
was there... a bottomless pit that I almost fell into on one of my small rescue attempts. We came
to the cross and turned left. As we did, I saw Aria, one of my sisters, running toward us. She
was spooked beyond belief but she just kept running. Jupiter was in defence mode as well as
Mars and Venus. Moon had her healing wand out and was preparing to use it as Mercury was
furiously typing away at her computer determining whether or not this was a trap.
"Sailor Heart! It's you! You've come back for us?"
"Yes. Me and others. Other Sailor Scouts. We will rescue you and the others from this
evil place." As we trudged on with Aria ahead leading us, it began to get a lot darker and colder.
Aria explained what had happened after I managed to escape.
"Things have changed since you've been away. Tara has now taken command in your
place. The rest of us are happy just to be alive with the way Beryl treats us. What's worse is
that, now, we can't even transform anymore because they've destroyed our power sticks." Luna,
who had been unusually quiet, spoke up suddenly.
"Artemis and I will take care of that when we find your brother and sisters. But if you
don't mind my asking, what do you remember about Poseidon, Aria?"
"He trained us to fight the Negaverse. When we found him, he had just finished a fight
with five other cats and had been injured pretty badly. We restored him back to health and in
return, he taught us how to fight the evils of the Negaverse."
"Aria, how did you manage to escape, and why didn't the others come with you?" I
asked, rather unsure if it really was my flesh and blood we were talking to.
"Basically it happened the same way it did when you escaped. We conned a General long
enough to get one of us out of the cell we were in."
"So, why didn't Tara come instead of you?"
"Because, you know I don't like being in any kind of authority." she laughed.
The tunnel took a turn to the left and divided into to paths. We decided to split up and
each take a path; Artemis, Venus, Jupiter and I down one and Luna, Mars Mercury, Moon and
Aria down the other. Our communicators were turned on at all times and the reception was
pretty good considering that this was the Negaverse.
"This is getting too easy," observed Jupiter uneasily. "We never did find out what became
of that, that thing you and I zapped."
"It's gotta be around here somewhere. They were in Beryl's throne room when I
escaped." said Aria in a concerned voice.
"Maybe they realized that if you escaped there might be a chance that you'd find us and
come back to get the others. If I know Beryl, she won't keep prisoners in the same place twice."
said Venus.
"And she wouldn't bring back to the same place we were when I escaped. That's just
logic." I said.
Just then, our communicators beeped. Mercury had found something peculiar and needed
me to check it out. Since we didn't know where we were in relation to them, it was gonna be
hard to find them. I said so.
"Just have Jupiter use her Thunderclap to break down the wall." said Moon. As she said
this, Mars started saying something to her that was probably better that I not hear or repeat.
Jupiter, however, was feeling the walls.
"I think I can break it down. It's hollow. But I'll need Venus' help on this one."
"You got it. Ready girl?"
"Jupiter! Thunderclap! Zap!"
"Venus! Crescent Beam! Smash!"
Their blasts hit simultaneously and the wall became a huge pile of rubble with the others
standing on the other side. We checked out what Mercury had it turned out to be a piece of
material from Tara's shirt.
"If they've harmed one hair on my sister's head, I'll..." Aria started.
"Good for us she's not Sailor Wind otherwise, we'd be in a lot of trouble." I whispered
jokingly to Venus who giggled which warranted a semi-jealous look from Jupiter.
"Aria, calm down. At least one good thing has come of this little display. I know that you
are indeed Aria. Sorry, but this IS the Negaverse and I wasn't sure if you were really Aria."
"I understand. If it were the reverse, I guess I'd feel the same way too."
"Anyway, all this standing around and talking isn't getting the other Scouts any free-er.
Let's get moving." said Mars slightly annoyed.
"Gee, is she always that fun? I can't wait for her to meet up with Sailor Fire!" Aria said.
I cringed at that thought. Just then Mercury found her computer beeping and pointing itself in a
direction.
"What is it?" I asked, fearing the worst; a mega Negaverse attack.
"My computer tells me that the Scouts are this way! Come on!"
We walked on ahead for another few yards, and there stood the cage with Flame, Tara and
Aqua being held inside.
"Stand back and we'll get you free! C'mon Venus and Mars!" shouted Jupiter.
"Mars! Fire! Ignite!"
"Venus! Crescent beam! Smash!"
"Jupiter! Thunder! Crash!"
The three Scouts aimed their combined powers to try and smash the cage but the cage
reflected all of their attacks. Mars and Venus managed to avoid their attacks but Jupiter took
hers with full force knocking her out cold.
"Damn it, no! Not again!" I yelled. That does it! I'm getting sick, sore and tired of
Jupiter getting hurt. Now it's my turn... LET'S ROCK!"
With that, about fifty Negaverse monsters appeared; some the scouts had defeated before
and new ones as hideous as their friends. Then for some unknown reason, unknown to me
anyway, Luna and Artemis began doing backflips. I thought this was a strange time for them to
start practising gymnastics and I said this.
"They're just getting new power sticks for the new Scouts, that's all." Said Moon
giggling.
"Not now!" said Mars. "Jupiter is hurt and we've Nega-creeps to trash!"
But before we could do anything else, Beryl appeared with several Generals by her side.
"The only thing you'll be doing is getting in that cage with your friends and staying there
for all eternity!"
"Not if we can help it." said Luna and Artemis.
"You have trashed my home, almost killed my boyfriend, and now you've captured Moon
Children. Your evil will not triumph but will go down with the entire Negaverse! I guess
banishing you wasn't enough. It's obvious you must be destroyed!" said Moon, who had turned
into Princess Serenity to the huge surprise of me and my siblings.
"SCOUT'S HONOUR!" said all the Scouts in unison.
"Before you wave your wand in a futile effort to save yourselves, little Princess Serenity,
there's someone I'd like you to meet." said Beryl as she levitated a small cage from the darkness
surrounding her throne. The occupant of the cage was a small tiger-striped cat-like figure.
"Poseidon!" said Luna, my family and I together.
"Yes, I've kept him alive for all this time. His life has not been an easy one. I have made
sure to that personally."
Poseidon, obviously weak from abuse, managed to stand himself up.
"Give it to em Sailor Scouts!" said Poseidon and collapsed.
"Beryl, you've really crossed the line this time. On behalf of Luna, the moon and all Sailor
Scouts, WE WILL ROCK YOU! Hit it Serenity!"
"Cosmic! Moon! Power!" said Serenity.
"Mercury! Star! Power!" said Sailor Mercury.
"Mars! Star! Power!" said Sailor Mars.
"Jupiter! Star! Power!" said a groggy Sailor Jupiter.
"Venus! Star! Power!" said Sailor Venus.
"Heart! Crystal! Power!" said I.
"Earth! Crystal! Power!" said a newly transformed Sailor Earth.
"Wind! Crystal! Power!" said a newly transformed Sailor Wind.
"Fire! Crystal! Power!" said a newly transformed Sailor Fire.
"Water! Crystal! Power!" said a newly transformed Sailor Water.
"Scouts! Planet! Power!" said the original Scouts
"Scouts! Element! Power!" said me and my family.
Well, between us and the original Sailor Scouts, a MASSIVE energy ball and aimed it at
Beryl herself. As it hit her, the "souls" of all the Negamonsters flew into the ball and Beryl herself
disappeared. A few seconds later the ball exploded and dissipated.
Luna and Artemis had freed Poseidon while we were fighting Beryl and had started to
carry him to safety. Poseidon was still out but Luna heard him speaking, as if in a dream.
You've done well, my daughter. Continue to do so when I am gone. I will always be
with you forever."
With four more Scouts, it was a lot easier to teleport back to our universe. We still had
memories of what happened to us, unlike the memory loss of the Scouts after the first fight with
Beryl. Poseidon was taken to a vet who was able to help us bring him back out of his comatose
state.
"So, how do we celebrate the destruction of the Negaverse?" asked Artemis of Poseidon.
"It is not that easy to destroy the Negaverse; in fact, it is quite impossible. The Negaverse
will always exist just as the Moon Kingdom, in whatever form it takes, with always exist. We'll
end up fighting the Negaverse until we die and when we die, others will take our place.
Unfortunately, we will never have true peace." said Poseidon, sagely. Frowns were exchanged
among us.
"Ahh, what the heck... Let's Party!" said Poseidon.
As the party got into full swing, several things took place. We welcomed Poseidon back
into the land of the living and we celebrated the reunion or all the Scouts. But the best yet to
come.
"If I could have your attention." I said. "I have a small announcement to make. First I
would like to thank Luna, Artemis, Mina, Amy, Serena and Raye for showing me their hospitality
and friendship since I've known them. I'd also like to thank Lita in a very special way. Since
we've known each other, Lita and I have been through good times and bad and, so far, we've
managed to pull through them with flying colours of green and crimson red."
At this point, Lita stood up, at my invitation, in the centre of the floor and I approached
her and got down on one knee.
"Lita Makoto, w-will you m-marry me?" I asked as I flashed her a rock from my
transformation stick. I had definitely surprised everybody, except of course for Mina who gave
me a knowing look, and had kind of surprised myself as well.
"Yes!" She said with a touch of triumph in her voice. I almost fainted. The Scouts, the
cats and Darien cheered while Lita and I kissed. Finally, I thought, I have some kind of
acceptance.
