ALL-PURPOSE CULTURAL CAT-GIRL NUKU NUKU
Of the episodes I've seen, I wasn't too impressed. Overall, I found the storyline weak. First of all, it's the story of a robot who is female, and thinks she is a cat (at least that's my interpretation of it). She has a main enemy who is trying to destroy her and the subplots revolve around the robot (Nuku Nuku) trying to adapt to the "normal" Japanese society.

BATTLE ARENA TOSHINDEN (uncut version)
This was an excellent movie! Far better than I'd expected. The plot focuses on the "man Machine Project; a scheme conceived by the villainous Uranus. The technique combines a cybernaut and the skills of the world's most renowned Toshin fighters. The main main character, Eiji, must join fellow fighters Kayin, Ellis, Sofia and Gaia to defeat the "Organization". Definitely recommended to fans of the video game.

DEVIL HUNTER YOKHO
Finally, an animation I could like! This anime was one of the first ones I'd seen that was actually a series. It concerned Yokho Mano, the 109th member in a long familial line of devil hunters. She lives with her grandmother (the 108th devil hunter), her mother (who took no interest in continuing the line) and Azuka (sp? (devil hunter in training who is no relation to Yokho). The plot is simple, similar in fact to Sailor Moon. Yokho is about 16 and has the ability to transform into a heroine with a soul sword. Yokho must learn to fight devils, survive being a teenager and find the right man for marriage. She does this with the help of her family, Asuka and Yokho's manager, Chi who wants to sell Yokho's services (devil hunting) to Youma (devil) victims. Interesting plot and excellent storyline. The only thing I didn't like about it, is her mother keeps asking Yokho if she's "done it" yet.

DOMINION TANK POLICE (ACTS I-IV)
I was really disappointed with this one. I expected so much but got so little. For starters, it was way too violent. It was set in post-apocalyptic Earth in the 30th century. I watch anime to escape violence and war. Granted, I was prepared to see some violence, but not as much as I did. For example, there was this one scene where the female lead sticks a hand grenade in a criminal's mouth, and bets are taken to see how long it will be before the criminal confesses. The pin is pulled, and stopwatches are started. If the guy confesses, he lives. If he doesn't, he dies. If you could get past that, the main subplot involves said female lead and building of her tank as well as her continuous rejection of a young commander's advances. The main plot revolves around finding methods to clean the air as it had been almost completely poisoned by the 25th century. It was way too violent for my taste and therefore was one of those animes that I didn't like or would recommend.

MEGA MAN (THE N/A DUB)
Most video games should be made into anime, right? WRONG! Even though I wasn't a fan of the game, I figured I'd give this one a chance. I soon realized that I'm way too generous in my chances. Maybe it was only the episode I saw, but I decided that the show sucked. I'll keep to the basics. The main character, Mega Man, must do battle with Dr. Wiley and his creations to save something (it's never made clear). In essence, it's a neverending video game for which the viewer has no control.

PLASTIC LITTLE
THE very first anime I ever saw. Captain Tita, a 17-year-old sea farer must help a young girl save a secret formula which would help the military tighten it's stranglehold on the neighboring village. With the help of her ever-loyal crew, she may be able to pull it off.

PRINCESS MINERVA
Well, this one wasn't too bad. Basically, this is the story of an over-protected princess who wants the approval of her father, the King, who wants to keep his daughter protected. Little does he know, his daughter is quite capable in the arts of protective fighting arts. Minerva decides to prove herself by using a disguise and entering the King-sponsored fighting tournament. With the help of her guardian and the local hotheaded warrior, she can do it and gain her father's respect.

STREET FIGHTER THE ANIMATED MOVIE
Excellent film!! I would've given it the full six stars except for one thing... and that is the MUSIC! It SO did not fit the story that I couldn't believe it. For those who haven't seen it, the music is mostly alternative music (an alternative to music is more appropriate) and I couldn't get passed that. Other than that, it's a great film and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the Street Fighter II V series which takes place before all of this happens.... (I think... Cammy's storyline is still screwed up). I've seen the first three tapes (EPS 1-9) and I can't wait to see the rest.

COMING SOON!!!
movie boxes for each of the films and hopefully some more anime reviews. Haven't seen much anime lately, not like there's a lot here in my area of the planet. I will review Galaxy Express 999 soon as I've recently had the opportunity to see it. When I can see it again, I'll evaluate it and post the results.
