NAME: Rauresu/ Laures/ Raosu (Does he need a last name?)

SERIES: "Seimaden", another yaoi series (hey, I like them!) by You Higuri.

SERIES DESCRIPTION: Rauresu is the ultimate daemon lord, and has the coolest ears in the world- huge dragon wings! He falls madly in love with a women named Erise, but his enemy kills her. She is reborn years later, as a tavern waitress named Hilda (lovely name x_x). Unfortunatly, she already has a significant other- a strong, brave fighter named Rodrique. So, of course, Rauresu and Rodrique want each other dead. Rauresu's servant Teteiyusu (a devil with the bodyof an angel and my personal favorite character; he's so sweet and sensitive and beautiful!) is in love with his master, even though Rauresu is cruel to him and often makes him cry. He wants Hilda to be with Rodrique, so that Rauresu can be with him. He calls for a man (at least he *looks* human...I think he's a daemon) named Zadei to kill Hilda, but instead of this, Zadei spends his time and energy on my beloved angel boy- forcing kisses and raping him. Rauresu either doesn't know or doesn't care about any of this; his mind is only on destroying Rodrique and taking back Hilda.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: He is kind of a morbid creature. He used to be human, a prince in fact, until he was forced into becoming a daemon by another one. He used to simply use Erise, like he did with the other roomfulls of sluts, until he realized that he loved her. He is a very cruel person, taunting Teteiyusu to the point of tears, and killing many people without reason. (He seems to really enjoy the pain of others, which is a bit of a shortcoming.) He gave up his position in the other realm to stay on Earth and watch over Hilda.

INSIGHTS: I really don't like him. I would if he was nice to my angel, but the only thing he cares about is that slut Hilda. Well, maybe she's not *technically* a slut... but she dances between two men! If she would just go with Rodrique, everyone would be happy! Rauresu is a very interesting character, no matter what my problems with him are. He enjoys messing with people's minds, and has actually made some creatures go insane. He is everything an anti-hero needs: cruel personality, mocking, evil, murderous, vicious... hmm. Maybe I do like him... ^_^.

A You Higuri Collection: I just found this today, but it looks very well done. It has a page for every one of You Higuri's pieces, and the artwork is just as spectacular in them all! It has images, character guides, and translations. I'll have to look around on this a bit more....
