The Silver Senchi

                                                  Chapter Three
                                           A Party and a Meeting

              The party had begun.  Mamoru and Usa had arrived earlier, surprising everyone.  After the "Oh! you've grown so much!" and "I've missed you so much!" was over and done with, the opening of the presants commenced.  After that, they ate Usagi's cake.  

              "Errrrr...."  "Come on Usagi! I'm sure it'll taste great!" "But I worked soo hard on it.....and now it has to be eaten!" "That's the purpose of a cake baka!!!"  "Oooooo, Rei!" "Calm down and eat the cake." "Hai Hai........"

              After opening Mamoru's gift to her ( which she had saved for last) she thanked him with a good, long kiss.  After all, it was a *beautiful* necklace.  Motoki and Naru nearly fainted. Umino was a bit shocked, but didn't take much notice of it.  Unazuki just smiled happily.  Makoto noticed that Mr. Tsukino was turning red and the top of his head was smoking, but fortunately, didn't say or do anything.  

               The rest of the party was good, Usagi spent most her time with Usa.  "Lady.....you've grown so much.......I can barely recognize you....."  Usa sighed and waved a hand at Usagi, "Usagi-chan, get over it, I grew up."  Usagi smiled at her....ano...she hadn't really changed that much then.  Only 2 years younger than Usagi now, she was a little shorter than her, taller if you counted her odango's.  Usa's eyes suddenly grew wide with disbelief.  "Usagi...."  Usagi turned to her, "Yes Lady?"  Usa smiled slowly, then she ran towards the Three Lights. "Usa?!"  She leapt up and hugged Yaten tightly, "Uncle Yaten!" she exclaimed.  Usagi felt a sweatdrop forming on the back of her head, You've got to be kidding me... she thought.  Yaten looked curiously at the girl hugging him, "Ummm...excuse me...do I know you?"  Taiki shrugged, "Probably a fan."  Yaten rolled his eyes, "I'll give yu an autograph later, okay kid?"  Usa looked confused at the Trio.  "Uncle Seiya, Uncle Taiki....Uncle Yaten?  Don't you remember me?"  Seiay felt like laughing, "Uncle?"  Usagi laughed nervously and managed to drag Usa away, "Errrr....can we talk about this later Lady?"  Usa looked incredibly confused and sad, but nodded anyways.  The rest of the party ran smoothly, and after a couple hours the non-senchi left.

              All the Senchi, Mamoru and the StarLights included, were sitting in Usagi's room, discussing Rei's vision, an hour or so after the party had finished (they spent that hour cleaning up).  Setsuna shook her head, "There is only one man I know of that fits that description, Rei....."  Usagi cocked her head to one side "Who?"  Setsuna turned and looked at her gravely, "King Netami....he was King of the Sun.  He was more powerful than all the other planets...except two.  Saturn, and the Moon.  Of course, when all the planets powers were joined together in the Moon Powers, it was nearly unstoppable.  He was jealous of that power.  That's pretty well all I can remember, after all, Queen Serenity-sama restricted my memories of the Moon Kingdom to an absolute minimum, in order to protect the future." The other Outers nodded in agreement, the Inners looked at each other worriedly, and the Lights just looked confused, not knowing what the Moon Kingdom and Queen Serenity were.  Luna stepped forward, "I do have vague memories of him.......for a while the Sun and the Moon were on a peace...a truce, but he attacked." Haruka turned to Rei, "When do you think the youma attack will come?"  Rei shook her head and thought for a moment, "Either today or tomorrow....I can't be sure."  Everyone turned to look as Usagi broke out into full wail, "And it just *HAD* to be on my birthday!! WAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"  Mamoru felt a sweatdrop forming on the top of his head, he moved over to Usagi and put an arm around her, "It'll be okay Usako..."  he said, still looking slightly embaressed.  As the tension in the room began to clear, everyone laughed lightly at Usagi's wailing fit.  Suddenly Usa sat up, "But I want to know why the Lights are here!" Everyone looked at her questioningly.  Usagi (who had stopped wailing by this time) blinked at her and said "They came to visit for my birthday...do you know them Usa?" Usa nodded quickly, "Do they know about the future?" Setsuna shook her head, "But they should know a little of what we are talking about."  Everyone (especially the Lights) did a double take at Setsuna being almost friendly to the Three Lights.  She chuckled, "1,000 years from now, Usagi and Mamoru will rule as queen and king of Crystal Tokyo, Usa is their future daughter.  That's really all you need to know for now."  There was a long silence, before Yaten burst out laughing at the though of Usagi being Queen, Taiki started thinking deeply about how a person could live that long, and Seiya just stared.  The Sailor Senchi couldn't help but laugh.  When everyone quieted down, Ami turned to Usa, "But how do you know them Usa-chan?" Usa blinked and said "They live in the Crystal Palace in the future.  When I was little I got used to calling them "Uncle", so I still do.  Uncle Yaten used to tell me stories about how they used to be Senchi too, but for some reason they couldn't use their powers anymore." "NANI?!?!" exclaimed all Three Lights in unison, Yaten being the loudest.  "You don't use your powers in the future, I don't know why.  I don't see Uncle Seiya a lot, once a year tops, he's always at their home planet.  Uncle Taiki usually stays in our galaxy, but he likes to hop from planet to planet, doing all sorts of stuff, he likes that...he says 'It broadens the horizon and gives you a new view every day.' Whatever that means....."  Yaten looked up, for once without a snide remark, and said "But where am I?"  "Uncle Yaten lives at Crystal Palace, all the time.....he doesn't leave a lot.  He likes it there, I don't know why...he says "It's very relaxing and peaceful....a change from my old life."   Seiya smirked, "Sugoi, I'm impressed Yaten, you actually managed to say something nice in the futuuuuuuura!" Seiya shouted the last word as he ducked a pillow thrown by we all know who.  Usa looked genuinely curious, but what she said next shocked them all, "But Uncle Yaten is really nice, he used to take care of me a lot when I was little, and he'd tell me stories and everything when I went to bed..." her face suddenly looked down cast, "But just a few months ago he and Uncle Taiki had to go home to their planet.....something was wrong." Setsuna gasped, "That's not supposed to happen in the future!"  Usagi looked at her strangely, and then actually made a statement that made sense, "But then Setsuna-san, you would know that the StarLights are in the future and peaceful....if that's so...why did you attack them when they first came?!" Setsuna shook her head, "Because, preserving the time line is my top priority Usagi-chan...not making friends."  Usagi looked as though she was about to say something, then she stopped and looked down.  After a few minutes of silence, the groups slowly got up and left.  In the end, leaving the Inner Senchi, and Usagi, Usa, and Mamoru.  Mamoru bent down and gently kissed Usagi, "Happy Birthday Usako." he smiled briefly and started to walk out the room.  "Thanks for coming here Mamo-chan!" she blew him a kiss as he walked out the door.  Once he had left hearing range, the Inners and Usa fell back on the bed, laughing.  Usagi didn't think it was that funny and just had a hissy fit.


	Haruka walked steadily down the street, and rather well too, considering she was carrying a heavily sleeping Hotaru.  Michiru and Setsuna walked beside them.  Michiru smiled, "I guess we stayed up a little late talking for her, ne?  She needs rest anyways."  Haruka nodded and smiled at Hotaru, who had just yawned, "Ano...she's getting a bit heavy to be carried home...."  but Haruka was still smiling as she said this.  Setsuna looked up briefly and smirked, knowing that Haruka really wasn't having much trouble carrying Hotaru, and was just complaining for the fun of it.  Michiru's smile turned to a look of concern as she looked at Setsuna, "Setsuna-san, what's wrong?  You have been very quiet lately, and tonight's talk seemed to make what ever was wrong worse."  Setsuna nodded and was quiet for a few minutes before saying "I went into the Time Tunnel yesterday....one of the gates had been totally demolished."  Both Haruka and Michiru gasped loudly, nearly waking Hotaru up. "W-What do you mean? Demolished? You mean totally destroyed?!" Setsuna nodded gravely,  "I think that who ever this new enemy is, their the ones who did it.... I.."  Setsuna was suddenly cut off by numerous screams and a loud crash from an alley a little ways up the street.  The tall Senchi turned towards the two younger women, "Henshin." was all she needed to say.

"I don't believe this....."
"It can't be happening........"
"Please oh please oh please......"
"NOOOO!!!!!!" yelled Minako as Ami beat her at chess yet again.  Mako rolled her eyes, "Calm down Minako-chan! It's just a game."  "Humph! I'll beat you.....3 out of 5!"  Minako said determinedly, "But Minako-chan," replied Ami timidly, "I've already won 3 games....even though last time you said 2 out of 3."  Minako sweatdroped, "Errrr...ano.....uhhh...Of course I knew that! 4 out of 5!" Everyone sighed in resignation. "Oh Minako-chan..." chuckled Makoto, "Will you ever give up?"  Suddenly everybody's communicators started beeping.  "Eheh?" Usagi lifted her communicator lid, "Nani?"  A small image of Michiru popped up on the screen.  "Inner Senchi! There is a youma attack down here, a few blocks south of our house....hurry!"  "Hai!" replied all the Inners in unison.
