Tamahome is the oldest of 5 siblings in his family.
His mother died when he was very young and his father became sick so he
had to go out and make money for them, that's why he's so obsessed with
getting paid. He will fight anyone if it means he gets paid. Through the
story he falls in love with Suzaku No Miko/Miaka and decides that
his
life must involve protecting her with his very life. His family gets
brutally murdered by Suboshi and decides that he has nothing left except
Miaka so he will only live for her.
His seishi symbol is the mark of "Oni" (a sort of Japanese
demon/monster) on his forhead. When he was young he was always teased by
the other children because of the mark but he finds out a valuable lesson
of it. ("I found out what this mark means. It means protecting you.
Living for you!" -Tamahome to Miaka) His seishi power is that of incredible
martial
arts skills. Tamahome has a really big heart, but also a VERY fierce
temper. Unfortunately, Yui also falls in love with him, which sort
of puts him in the middle of just about everything. ("Am I more attractive
