Well, this anime is anything but. The anime differs very much from the manga. For one thing, it isn't full of comedy as the manga is. There are a couple of parts, but then, comedy in the anime is still rare.
The movie, however, is another story. It is very much like the manga, where almost nothing is taken seriously, for the most of it. It's really entertaining though. ^^
