What's New
Hi, guys! After a rejuvenating vacation in
the land Down Under, I've finally found the time to update my page. =)
Actually, the new story has been HTML-ready since last month, but I only
found time to fix it up now. It's called A
Matter of Trust, and you can find it waiting
for you in Book II. It's a story that fits early in the chronology, so
there's less WAFFiness than usual to wade through. Okay, okay... I know
the title leaves something to be desired, but I hope that you find the
story to your liking and worth the long wait. I'm really sorry I've been
so inconsistent with my writing... I swear, I really have been busy tying
up the fraying threads to my life - and the fraying story threads running
through my brain. Thanks for bearing with me.
As an aside, I want to share the good news
that I got accpeted into the med school of my choice - so expect me to
be even more inconsistent with my writing come June. However, writing these
stories does wonders for my stress, so I'm not about to give it up. I may
not update that often, but I will keep on writing. =)
I am finally working on a post-Reunion
fic. Alexis Aldeguer,
who helped me revise my last post, is sort of co-writing it with me, and
we basically have the plotline down. The work is going pretty slow since
we're new to this co-write of thing and she's also busy with school, but
we're getting there. At least I hope we are!
Oh... and there is a new pic that I want to
share with you. They were sent to me by
Zejan the Wonder Monkey
, a really incredible artist who you can email
at that link if you like her work. She drew a couple of pictures from scenes
in my story Allura's Wedding,
and you can find them on this
page. I know that my page is not a graphics
page, but I couldn't help put this here... I think her work is exceptional,
really. Don't you agree? There is a really yummy pencil sketch of Keith's
father, Zachary Montgomery on Zejan's page that you just have to see. You'll
have to agree that Keith comes by his killer good looks honestly.
I've added a zip file of a certain song you're
bound to run into in my stories in the near future. It's called
"The Promise (I'll Never Say Goodbye)
and you can see the lyrics and download a zipped
wav file of the first few stanzas from that link over there. NOTE: The
zip file is about 1.7 MB bigm so it's a no-no for pre-historic modems like
mine. It's the song I was imagining Zach and Kat dancing to in "A Christmas
Waltz."
Please keep on dropping by, okay? I'll try
not to keep you waiting for a new story for such long periods of time in
the future. And please email. I love getting email! It makes me feel needed...
and that I'm not writing this to a non-existent audience. I aim to please...
I really do.
By the way, before getting into any of the
books, it might help if you pass by "A Cast of Characters." After reading
my stories, jump into the links page -- there are two new links I've added
to my growing hoard of Voltron Fic Writers out there. Inform me of defective
links and let me know if you want to get on board, too!
As for what the next installment is for "A
Princess and Her Knight" - I'm always working on it! Please be patient
and bear with me - I am trying my best to churn out new stories and get
into a good med school at the same time. And I never post partial
stories. : ) So, drop by often and have fun rehashing the old stuff
till I come up with something new! (And if you have any fic ideas, please
drop me a line.)
About The Stories on this
Page
Most of the stories on this page are set during
"in-between" days. Although I will definitely be writing more action-filled
stories in the future, I still prefer writing about one-shot, short episodes
exploring deepening relationships between the characters, especially the
Princess Allura and Keith. I guess you've probably guessed by now that
this one is meant to focus on the romantic aspect of Voltron! If you're
allergic to cheesy stories, you might have to take out some anti-allergy
pills! So far, the stories which are up are of this nature
- personally, thinking of complicated battle-based stories are difficult
for me, so I would appreciate your ideas - mail
me your suggestions! .
How the Stories tie-up together
and fit within the Series timeline
The stories on this page are not meant to
run together or be chapters of one single book. Each one is meant to stand
alone, and they can be read in any order, although some stories might mention
events which happened in other stories you might not have read yet.
In "The Book of Innocence" are stories which
are set in a time long before the Voltron Force is sent to Arus to bring
back Voltron. There will be stories of Keith and Allura as children, and
possibly Lance. (It depends on what mood strikes me!) Nothing on Arus'
ancient history, though! I'll leave the legends to other writers on the
web who are better than me at doing that sort of thing.
"The Book of Finding" contains stories which
can fit anywhere in the series chronology. So far, I haven't felt the need
to change anything major in the plot line of the series, except maybe emphasizing
the romantic aspect of Keith and Allura's relationship.
"The Circle Closes" is a book which contains
stories about things that happen after the end of the series. I can't describe
this one yet - major spoilers might come up! Just keep posted - I don't
think I'll be writing any stories for this book for a while... at least,
I won't be posting them yet even if I do! (For readers who keep asking
me when I will begin posting stories for this book - well, once I've run
out of ideas for the other books, of course! I've always believed
in the philosophy of things happening in their own time - so there won't
be any point in writing the ending when the present is still happening.)
Well, now that you've listened to
me babble on about what's on this page, please feel free to dig in! I hope
that you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
Please e-mail me your comments
and suggestions - this page is constantly under construction, and
new links are always appreciated. And before you go, please sign my guestbook!
Have fun!
