Castle Miranda's

Awards Page

I thought that it would be really nice to be able to show my appreciation for all of the other great Sailor Moon pages out there, so I went ahead and created some awards. If you think, "Hey! What a coincidence! *I* happen to have a great Sailor Moon page!" and want to give it a try, e-mail me. Include your name (or whatever handle you wish to use), your site's URL, the award you wish to apply for, and a little something about why you want that particular award. You don't have to wax eloquent for 11k, but *please* give it a bit more thought than, "i saw the pics & thougt they were spiffy i want to win one any one". ;o) Feel free to try for for as many as you wish, as long as your page applies to whatever aspect of Sailor Moon it's commending. Good luck! I had a lot of fun creating these...if I get a good response, I think I might offer a few more!

General Rules
(1) Have your page at some degree of depth.
(2) Misspellings, broken links, etc, should be kept to a minimum.
(3) No bashing-- opinions are good, but it's all in the phrasing...
(4) No hentai!

The "Recommended Manga Site Award" is precisely that. It's applicable only to pages dealing exclusively with any manga (not just SM). Picture galleries, sites posting translations, synopses of the plots' Why's&Wherefore's, explanations of the differences between the manga & anime (the only loophole for anime's presence)... it's all fair game, just as long as there's a lot of good content!
To win "Castle Miranda's Site of the Month", you need to have a really good segment with emphasis on the outer senshi. (Or, if you're brave enough to call them "Celia, Corrine, and Nerissa", outer scouts.) (<---grudging concession) ;o) Sites with good manga sections take priority with the judges, but anyone is eligible. The award for each month is given on the first day of the next month, and applications are only valid for one run-through. So if you don't win the first time, try again!
To win "Usako's Seal of Approval", you need to possess a page with emphasis on the romance between Usagi & Mamoru, in ANY of their incarnations. Which means Princess Serenity & Prince Endymion; Usagi & Mamoru; Serena & Darien; Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen/Tuxedo Mask/Moonlight Knight; Neo-Queen Serenity & King(Neo-King?) Endymion; etc... (Who could've thought that 2 people could have such a complicated lovelife?) :o)
To win "Neo-Queen Serenity's Admirable Site Award" you need to have a creative homepage with special emphasis on SailormoonR and/or Crystal Tokyo. Shrines to Black Lady, Prince Demaund, WiseMan, Rubeus, etc, are perfectly acceptable.
"Tenoh Haruka's Site for Sore Eyes" is reserved exclusively for Tenoh Haruka/ Sailor Uranus shrines. It has to be more than just her stats- birthday, astrological sign, favorite food, etc. There's nothing bad about listing stats- it certainly helps with researching fanfics! (wouldn't it be awful if you read somewhere, "Haruka dug with great relish into a heaping bowl of natto"!)- but there needs to be some indication of creativity, that you put a lot of your own imagination and effort into your page.
The "Distinguished Fanfic Author-- Castle Miranda's Archives" is given to authors who have  completed their fanfics and submitted them to my archive. And it should be something of substance, not a short story. And *please*! Good grammar and spelling are must's, unless you don't mind me playing editor, and it should have no more than a PG rating. (I don't mind if you write lemons or H-fics [some lemons can be pretty funny!] but I just don't want to post them myself.) It's not that difficult to be accepted for this award as long as you have a bit of imagination, dedication, and plot.  So please, try for this award! We need more completed fanfics out there!
The most difficult to earn is "Castle Miranda's Auctor Pretiosa Facit Award". And everyone who has had the fortune to *not* be foolish enough to take Latin is asking, "What the heck does that mean?" It basically means, "The giver makes [the gift] precious", and this award is reserved for those pages out there who are nice enough to give other webmasters & webmistresses a boost, whether it's by creating gifs and backgrounds and banners [gratis], or sharing advice on HTML and how to increase your hits, or whatever. However, you can't sign yourself up for this award. If anyone who sees this award is deeply indebted to a certain page's influence on their creation, they should e-mail me and say, "So-and-so was a terrific help to me, and they deserve this." Or I can notice a page which has made a genuine effort to aid others, and decide, "OK!" For this award, I won't discriminate against hentai, or look for broken links or typos. Chances are, if you're helping others, you've made sure that you've done a pretty spectacular job of your own page already! ^_^
