For those of you who have been to Disneyland in California or Walt DisneyWorld in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland will still be a treat. The major thing that shocked me was...Mickey Mouse and all his friends can speak Japanese! That was a major drawback for me though because I don't speak much Japanese. However, I went there several times and I enjoyed it each time.

Disneyland is very expensive though. Just to get there from my old house (about 30 miles from it) it cost $20. The admission price is around $40. Figuring that the average person will eat two meals there along with other snacks that will cost another $20 depending on how big of a person you are. Everyone (if you're normal) will go to the shops to buy a souvenior. The cheapest thing I saw when I was there was a pencil for $1. (I chose the next cheapest thing, a key chain) That means the total price of the round trip for one person would be $100. Imagine the price for an entire family!!

The last time that I went to Japan I was fortunate. My high school band (Kinnick High School, Go Devils!!) was invited to go march through Disney. That meant I didn't have to pay for my admission or transportation. It's a good thing too because that would not have gone well with my parents. :)

If you ever get the opportunity to go to Disney, please say "konnichiwa" (hello) to Mickey Mouse for me. Thanks. :)
