Well, July was certainly an eventful month around here! For me, at least, if not the page. I turned twenty, posted fanfic (and actually got fan mail instead of hate mail), AND got a new job. Actually just a different department at the same store...but it's still a step up, so I'm happy. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of work done on the page because I've been working 40 hours a week and using up all of my spare time writing, and come on, I have to fit a life in there somewhere! Sadly, though, it always seems to be this page that gets neglected, and I'm afraid that's a trend that's going to continue. School starts for me in a little over a month, and I have a lot of things I'm committed to doing before then. Mostly I want to finish my latest project...actually, that's misleading, I've been working on this for a couple of years now. But, like this page so often does, it kept getting pushed away until I had time to do it properly...so that's my personal goal for the rest of the summer.
So what is this project, you ask? None other than the fanfic mentioned above. To do it properly, there are going to be five parts. So far I've posted the first one and I just finished writing part 2 today, so I'll put that up in a few days' time. It's definitely going to take me a while, but I think it's worth it. So, if you're a glutton for punishment or you just happen to like fanfic, you can take a look. The series is called The Moons of Jupiter. Take a look and let me know what you think!!
August events are pretty slim, actually, just my brother's birthday on the 12th and my buddy Aaron's on the 11th. That's all I can think of, anyways, except that I may or may not get to go on a couple of trips in the coming weeks...I certainly hope so, I need a vacation! As for July, I did get to see the koalas, and we did have a camera, and I fixed my scanner, and you can see the end result at the bottom of the page! I got some great pics of my boyfriend, too, but I don't think he'd be too happy with me if I posted those...hehehe...
Words of the month: TONBO, which means "dragonfly" in Japanese, and KOOKABURRA, which is a kind of Australian bird.
Well, I do believe that's all I have to say again, so goodbye and I'll see you next month!
Until then,
Sailor Jupiter Says...
Have
