What Koreans are doing on a weekend
Most Koreans work
6 days a week.
Banks and government
offices open 6 days a week.
For weekdays 9am
- 6pm, and on Saturday 9am - 1pm is typpical working time for many Koreans.
However many Koreans
work longer than this.
Some companies have
introduced '5 days a week system'.
I myself have just
1 free Saurday per month.
On a weekend, I
usually spend time at home.
Due to the increasing
number of cars, the traffic of the road to and from the big city is very
heavy on a weekend.
It is nothing special
on a Monday morning to hear a colleague saying that he was locked on the
road for hours the previou night.
But there are many
good places around the country and in the city.
We have a very cold
winter and very hot and humid summer, so indoor activities rather than
outdoor activities are popular among people.
Bowling and table
tennis is popular sports and inddor swimming pool is always full of people.
This can be a reason
for many Koreans going overseas during their vacations.
