Episode Zero
Nope, I'm not going to put the summary... or whatever.... but I got these from Episode Zero... Here's some extracts from the manga....(It's copyrighted by Katsuyuki Sumisawa & Akira Kanbe, so don't steal and say it's your personal teory or what!!!)
Heero Yuy's story
In the series, Heero spouts a profound line about how you should do "as your heart tells you" Let't find out more about the mysterious Heero.....
A failed attack? The connection to Treize The murder of the colony leader, Heero Yuy, triggered the rebellion of the colonies. Thirteen years later, his right hand man, Dekim Barton, killed Heero Yuy's assasin, Odin Lowe.At the time, Odin was travelling with another yet "Heero" who would end up confronting Dekim, eight years later. And in A.C. 196, Mariemaia - the child of Treize and Dekim Barton's daughter, Leia - stands before Heero, who helped defeat Treize. Furthermore, Treize met Leia while recuperating in hospital after Heero shot him, so it could be said that Heero's the main cause of Mariemaia's "existence". "Heero" really is a trouble maker..! |
"As your heart tells you" The mystery behind the philosophy "As your heart tells you....." is a philosophy that Heero later uses himself. The ideal that has much influenced on Heero was actually taught to him by Odin, the assasin who appears here. Odin travelled with Heero as a part of a contract, so to speak, so they could pass themselves as a travelling father and son. This line that he taught to Heero later serves as a guide at crucial points, as when Heero participates in "Operation Meteor" You may also recall Heero saying it to Trowa when they're travelling together during the TV series. It could be said Odin was Heero's mentor in life, and a major formative influence on his philosophy.. |
Teddy and I The secret of the stuffed animal The bear that Relena touches during the TV series opening was actually belonged to the little girl whom Heero accidentally killed during the mission shown in Endless Waltz. It was a terrible shock to Heero that he killed a civillian during this mission. It's understandable that the teddy bear is significant to him as a symbol of peace. |
Duo's story
The encounter between the war orphan Duo, and the church. As well as the mystery behind his braid, the tale is packed with crucial points that formed the Duo we know today.
The boy who makes his own name. The 'Maxwell' mystery Duo was once a war orphan, wandering alone through the colonies, until the priest and Sister Helen took him in and lavishly showered him with love. For Duo, the warmth of a loving family, which he experienced for the first time, was a big source of support. His taking the surname 'Maxwell' might have been a personal oath of sorts. In any case, the way that he called himself 'Shinigami', yet at the same time names himself after the church, reveals something about Duo's subtleties. The poor citizen of the colonies, and drifting urchins like Duo, don't have full names to begin with; even the name "Duo" was adopted after he met Solo, another urchin who died of a virus. Thus, Duo builds his name from his various experiences, and his name is his life story itself. |
Was it just unhygienic? The secret behind his braid Duo didn't have his hair braided when he was little - instead he'd simply wear his hair long. Was he just being lazy? No, it was just that nobody to show him how to neatly gather long hair. He liked the braid that Sister Helen happened to make for him, and he's continued to do it ever since. The name, the braid - the church has had a great influence upon him. These are the glimpses of the part of his personality that cherishes the bond between people. |
His connection with G Death and Pestilence Duo's role in the Gundam Wing story begins when the boy who called himself "Shinigami" meets up with Professor G. After meeting Prof. G he somehow becomes involved with "Operation Meteor" (a plan to drop a colony onto Earth, and then take over during the ensuing chaos) But seeing how strongly Duo opposing the plan, Prof'. G suggest that he steal the Gundam Deathscythe. Rather than playing the mass-murdering "hero", Duo chooses to descend to Earth as "Shinigami" and fight the Alliance, going to meet Heero and company there. If Duo is Death, you might call Prof. G Pestilence. |
Trowa's Story
Trowa mysteriously introduced himself with the words "I'll call myself Trowa Barton."The shocking 16 years of his life is now made clear!
'Who am I?' The path of "No-name" Trowa Trowa was found by mercenaries when he was four and under their tutelage, became a first-class soldier. But even at this point, as with his name of 'No-name', he hadn't been able to see any value of living. After his mercenary squad was destroyed, the 14-year-old Trowa went up to space and become a maintenance man in the L-3 colonies. There, he accidentally witnessed the murder of the real Trowa Barton and subsequently volunteered to pilot a mobile suit under the dead man's name. Having descended to Earth, he seems to have suceeded in finding 'a place to come home to' with his circus troop, but there's no knowing whether he can continue living peacefully with them. It will probably take a little more time to be sure. |
The Knife Trowing woman. The relationship with Catherine When Trowa descends to Earth in Operation Meteor, he chooses the circus as his cover. As he spends more time with Catherine, he began to feel at peace in the circus. After he loses his memories, he calls Catherine his sister, but there is a possibility that they were siblings. Catherine had a brother who was lost - actually, went missing - in the war, named Triton Bloom. And Trowa had a burn scar on his back that he didn't get in battle. The truth is unclear, but there does seem to be a bond of mutual understanding between them somehow. |
No work, no food Trowa had to polish his skills to survive in the war-torn world. Aided by his natural talent, he had become a full-fledged soldier by age 10, and was adored by the captain and the other mercenaries. Also, out of neccesity, he picked up a poker-face with which he can calmly deal with any situation. How sad that the only reason he survived was because of his fighting abilities. His skills at slipping into unknown places is also the result of his training as a soldier. |
Relena's story
Relena and Zechs actually met before the war....! Her fate is radically altered by the events that happen later - let's analyze her many mysteries!
"What's yours...?" The mystery of the self introduction. kRelena was quiet and withdrawn when she was 11. But in meeting a war orphan - a boy who looked a lot like Heero - she began to remember her past. Her interest in the boy was piqued, but she couldn't convey her feelings for him or find the courage to stand up for him. Thus, her self introduction is tinged with the desire to not to make the same mistakes twice. It could be said that this was the beginning of her pacifism. |
The mystery of the vice foreign Minister position You can be one at 16? In EW |
Her brother's teaching...? The legend of the star prince Relena first called Heero "a prince of the stars" in the TV series. This poetic line was originally spoken by Zechs, when he met Relena during the terrorist attack on the Darlian estate. Those in the know explain that, perhaps, it means that he's the prince of the now-destroyed star (as in country)... This fondness for poetic phrasing must be in the Peacecraft blood. |
Quatre's story
Wufei's story
Operation Meteor
The story describes how five boys ventured into Operation Meteor. Let's follow the progression here.
Gundam War Chronicle: A_true introduction The circumtances connecting the five boys to Meteor Operation Meteor - the operation in which, five Gundams descend to Earth. However, the five boys who participated didn't even know that there are other Gundam pilots besides themselves. This story of the eve of Meteor could be said to be the true introduction to the Gundam war chronicle. Let's sort out these complicated matters here. First, the original Operation Meteor was planned by the Barton Foundation. But the Foundation's goal was to seize absolute power, in the process carrying out massacre by dropping colonies. it also plans to assasinate Vice Foreign Minister Darlian, who has learned of this secret plan, but this attempt was twarted by Heero. Later, Heero chooses from among Doctor J'x option and descends to Earth to attack OZ directly, descending to Earth disguised as a meteor. |
Meanwhile, the real Trowa Barton is killed by Doktor S and the others who opposed of the planned masacre. 'No-name' a mechanic who happened to witness Trowa's death, becomes his stand in, wipes out the operation team and directly averts the masacre. Also involved in Operation Meteor were Master O and Wufei, and Professor G and Duo. But Wufei protest that it goes against his sense of justice and swears to fight without carrying out mass murder. Duo, meanwhile, 'steals the Deathscythe.Meanwhile, Quatre defies his pacifist father, helps Instructor H - a scientist who sought refuge with the Winner Family - and goes to fight for the colonies... And so, the five boys descend to Earth through completely different circumstances. Although they didn't know each other, that can't be said od the ols scientists. A different take on the story might be that the boys were manipulated by these old geezers, and deliberately set into a trap! Maybe we should feel sorry for the boys... |
