Fullmetal Alchemist revolves around a pair of brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric who journeyed through the country of Amestris in search of the fabled Philosopher's stone.

After losing their mother, Alphonse and Edward Elric attempted to bring her back using the forbidden method of alchemy. However, the transmutation rebounded on them causing Ed to lose his leg and Al, his body.

Desperate to save his only brother,  Ed barely able to save Al’s soul by sealing it inside a huge suit of armor, at the cost of his arm. Determined to retrieve everything that was taken away from them, Ed left his hometown, Risenbul and headed to the Central city where he became a State Alchemist and were given the title "Fullmetal".

Despite being called the dogs of the military and bearing the risk of being sent off as the human weapon, Ed journeyed forward to fulfilling his mission along with hope that 'the thing that was lost' could be taken back... finally..
