On Kenshirou (Tsuyo chan's puppy)
Tsuyoshi: Kenshirou recently broke his tooth.
Tamori (host): How did he break it?
Tsuyoshi: He has been biting things like crazy...
Kouichi: Yeah, I got bit by him like crazy too.
Tsuyoshi: Yeah, he bites my partner with this "kabu kabu" sound (sound of grinding teeth). Even our company president (Johnny san) got bit by him too.
Tamori: Even the company president?
Tsuyoshi: Yeah, and I was really angry about that.

On girls' underwear...
A listener sent in a postcard saying that her brother was shocked when he thought that she told him that she wears black underpants...
T: People think that wearing black underpants is bad. I don't
understand why though.
K: But my underpants are all black...
T: (laughs) It's ok for guys. But for girls, it's a bit...
K: Um, but isn't it common?
T: No. If my girlfriend tells me that, won't it be a bit of a shock?
K: Why?
T: Wearing black underpants, you don't think that it will be kind of a shock?
K: Even worse than red?
T: Red is even more shocking.
K: A bit like, "Don't wear such glamorous underpants!"
T: Um, yep.
K: Isn't it nice no matter what a girl wears?
T:.... (laughs)
K: I don't have a strong feeling on this subject.

On their dreams
A listener sent in a postcard:
"In the concert pamphlet of Kinki's first concert, Kou chan's dream was to do a musical, and Tsuyo chan wanted to go to the future, past, and the other side of the mirror. So your dreams have all come true in 1999."
T: Um, yeah, they did.
K: Going to the future, not come true yet
T: No, in the drama, I kept going to the past and the future over and over again.
K: What about the other side of the mirror?
T: That I have not done yet. The reason why I said that I wanted to go to the other side of the mirror was the influence of Doraemon. On the other side of the mirror, although there is nobody, but there is huge identical world out there.
K: Yes.
T. I thought that that was interesting. But it would be lonely cos I would be all alone there.
K: Then let's go to the other side of the mirror this time.
T: Ok, this time I will bring my family with me when I go there.
K: Please make your dreams come true.

On holidays
Tsuyoshi: The most recent day-off for me was 2nd January. On 31st December, we had a count-down concert. At that time, 6 members of J-Friends had a cold.
Kouichi: Yes, having a cold...
Tsuyoshi: When I noticed that, I already caught it and I slept the whole day off with an ice-pad each on my forehead and the back of my neck.
Kouichi: Ooh, that's a lonely day off. I had been working from December up till recently with the concert and MASK.
Tsuyoshi: You did not get any holidays.
Kouichi: Um, no holidays. But on 31st January, MASK...
TsuyoshiL finished.
Kouichi: Then I can take some rest.
Tsuyoshi: When you are taking a break, you do some secret part-time job.
Kouichi: Um, secret part-time job, such as brushing my horse.
Tsuyoshi: (laughs) brushing your horse...

On nabe cooking and psychology test
Kouichi:When it's winter, it has got to be "nabe" (clay saucepay used for making hot pot cuisine).
Tusyoshi: Yes, Nabe...
Kouichi: Have you had any Nabe cooking recently?
Tsuyoshi: No. Hold on...
Kouichi: You thought about having one, but realised that you did not have a Nabe. (smiles)
Tsuyoshi: Yes. That was last year, at the beginning of December. I told Okada (V6) "Lets' have Nabe cooking" and he said, "I want to eat nabe cooking too." Then I thought "let's go" and then went away to buy the ingredients for the nabe cooking and then when I returned to Okada's place and thought about to begin preparing the ingredients.
Kouichi: No nabe?
Tsuyoshi: Yeah, Okada said, "Ah, I don't have a nabe."
Kouichi: That must have made you feel disappointed. (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: So I went out to buy a nabe and we finally had nabe cooking.
Kouichi: So you bought one.
Tsuyoshi: Yes. I made a Kimuchi (pickled vegetables) Nabe.
Kouichi: I had a Kimuchi nabe recently too.
Tsuyoshi: Really?
Kouichi: I had one for 3 days continuously.
Tsuyoshi: That's too much.
Kouichi: No, it was delicious.
Tsuyoshi: But nabe cooking is not suitable for eating alone.
Kouichi: That's true.
Tsuyoshi: It's when you have nabe cooking with a lot of people that nabe cooking becomes fun. But I had Sukiyaki once all by myself.
Kouichi: That's lonesome. But I often have Shabu Shabu alone.
Tsuyoshi: (laughs) That's lonesome too. So let's have a meal together happily.
Kouichi:Yes. Tuesday... Got it wrong. Kinki Kids Donna Monya.
Tsuyoshi: Ok, let's begin.

Kouichi: What? (laughs) Quiet! This week, we receive a psychology test from the listeners.
Tsuyoshi: Ooh!
Kouichi:A listener from Nagano with the pen name of, What's that?!, the pen name of " I like Kou chan TOO".(laughs)
Tsuyoshi: That was funny. (laughs)
Kouichi: She does not have to put in "TOO". Ok, psychology test. If there is a student being transferred to your school and she has one bad point. What will that bad point be?
Tsuyoshi: Um, she has a lovely face but the hairstyle is a bit...
Kouichi: I am the opposite.
Tsuyoshi: A, the hairstyle is nice but the face is a bit...
Kouichi: No, I will think she has a really great personality but her looks will be a bit...
Tsuyoshi: Oh, I see.
Kouichi: Next question: Today, you are the magician and it's the first time you perform on stage. When you wait for your turn to go on stage, what will you think?
Tsuyoshi: Ah, will I be fine? Will I be able to do it properly? That's what I will think.
Kouichi: I will think, "Ok, I am ready! Let's do it"
Tsuyoshi: That's very positive thinking.
Kouichi: Yeah, going on stage with a positive mind. Ok, here is the diagnosis. First of all, the bad point question. It's the secret you hide away from your lover.
Tsuyoshi: Pretty face, but the hairstyle is a bit...
Kouichi: Your hair is a bit... That's your secret. Hey, must have something to do with your sideburns.
Tsuyoshi: Yeah, the fact that I don't have sideburns.
Kouichi: Hahaha. You don't keep it as a secret though.

Kouichi: A really great character but the face is a bit.. (laughs) I don't look pretty then...
Tsuyoshi: But you are doing a job that sells your looks.
Kouichi: Yeah, doing a job that sells my looks.
Tsuyoshi: What's the next one?
Kouichi: It's what you think when you are about to cheat on your lover.
Tsuyoshi: (laughs) I said, "Will it be fine? Will I be able to do it properly?" when I cheat on my lover??? (Laughs)
Kouichi: I said, "Ok, I am ready, Let's do it!" (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Ok, let's cheat on your girlfriend today! (laughs)
Kouichi: That must be wrong diagnosis.(laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Have dinner at 8 o'clock, and then let's cheat!
Kouichi: (laughs) You on the other hand, will not be able to make up your mind about it.
Tsuyoshi: Umm, if I hesitate about it, I won't cheat.
Kouichi: Yes, yes.
Tsuyoshi: Ok, I'm ready. Today, let's cheat!
Kouichi: No, we can't do that.
Tsuyoshi: When does work finish today? Half nine? Then, let's fool around at 10 o'clock.
Kouichi: (laughs) we can't do that.

On shocking experiences in the mornings
A listener wrote in asking them about shocking experiences that Kinki have in the mornings.
Kouichi: For me, it was waking up in the morning, finding myself soaked with blood bleeding out of my nose.
Tsuyoshi: That's frightening.
Koucihi: I was shocked. Tsuyoshi kun, what about you?
Tsuyoshi: Um, what experiences did I have. Ah, I once mistook salt for sugar.
Kouichi: It will be delicious if you drink coffee with salt.
Tsuyoshi: Really?
Kouichi: That was a lie. (laughing)

On being a woman
A listener wrote in asking if they could be born again, would they rather be a guy or a girl.
Kouichi: Um, I think being a guy is great.
Tsuyoshi: Being a girl is tough.
Kouichi: Being a guy is great.
Tsuyoshi: Being a girl is definitely difficult.
Kouichi: Like you can't sit down with your legs open. I had to act as a woman in the musical "Mask".
Tsuyoshi: Really?
Kouichi:Yes.
Tsuyoshi: Again?
Kouichi: You know girls are not supposed to open their legs. But when I get changed and wear woman's clothes, you know, wearing Kimono, I still have the habit of spreading my legs wide open.
Tsuyoshi: Ah....
Kouichi: Although people told me not to spread my legs.
Tsuyoshi: Yes, as a girl, you should not. But that's very difficult.
Kouichi: Difficult. Being a woman is so tough.

On happenings at home
A listener to the programme wrote in asking if Kinki have had any happenings/accidents at home.
Kouichi: I have, I have.
Tsuyoshi: What was that?
Kouichi: Eh, I was drinking cola at home.
Tsuyoshi: Um. (yawning)
Kouichi: I put some ice into the cup and drank the cola. Then I stood up and knocked that cup of iced cola over. Wow, it was all over my bed. I thought, "oh dear" and then grabbed a towel to dry it. After I dried it, I took a look at the towel and realized I put a red tea bag on the towel before and it was soaked with red tea. My bed was like all red tea and cola.
Tsuyoshi: (laughing) What was you doing!!!
Kouichi: I gave up. I was like panicking alone.
Tsuyoshi: (laughing)
Kouichi: It was a real mess.
Tsuyoshi: But, sometimes when we are working day in and day out and the time for sleeping has to be reduced. As we have to act in drama and on stage, our sleeping time just keeps on contracting. Normally, when people want to hold something in their hands, they just hold it. But in times like this, when we want to hold something, our motion gets real slow.
Kouichi: Yeah, I have that problem too.
Tsuyoshi: There are times when our motions get slow and there are times when we think that we are holding something when we are not.
Kouichi: Yes, yes! I will wonder why my body isn't capable of doing such motions.
Tsuyoshi: Yes, sometimes my body just does not work. Sometimes we have these symptoms like aged men.
Kouichi: When that happens, I get really frightened. I will think what on earth am I doing.
Tsuyoshi: Not having the strength to hold something. What is that?
Note from webmaster: I worried about Kou chan's health a lot when he was doing "Mask". He lost his voice for a few days and he looked really sleepy in Gyu. Fortunately, he survived it.

On FNS Kayousai 1998
Kou chan was a real mess at FNS Kayousai 1998. He had to turn his back to the camera to fix something on his trousers (as though he were zipping it up) half-way through singing "Cinderella Christmas" and then when he changed over to another jacket for "Zenbu Dakishimete", he did the buttons up the wrong way. A listener sent in a letter saying that at secondary school, in a swimming lesson, she put on the swimming suit the wrong way round.
Kouichi: Recently, at FNS Kayousai, I did the buttons up the wrong way. I was rebuked by Shinohara.
Tsuyoshi: You seem to have a lot of incidents like that, like wearing clothes inside out...
Kouichi: I am the kind who will panick when I am in a rush. At that FNS Kayousai, Tsuyoshi went out to the stage first and I thought that I had to dash out now and started rushing and then just dashed out....
Kouichi: Our stylist was trying to fix the collar of my shirt. I dashed out and the stylist was like, "Hey, wait! Wait!" (laughs)
Kouichi: But that's fine, cos it ends up being rather funny.

Psychology test again
A listener sends in a psychology test again for Kinki.
Kouichi: A foreign girl moved into your neighbourhood. She does not speak any Japanese and owns a cat. The girl cries as she thinks about her hometown. How old do you think that girl is?
Tsuyoshi: 17
Kouichi: 18
Tsuyoshi: around 17, I think.
Kouichi: In a western-styled room, there are a lot of things that the cat called Miko likes. Please describe two actions of Miko there.
Tsuyoshi: Sleeping on the floor peacefully.
Kouichi: Chasing after a ball in the corridor.
Koucihi: Ah, two actions! So it will be chasing after a ball in the corridor, and jumping up real high.
Kouichi: The age of the girl is your mental age.
Tsuyoshi: I thought that it would be something like that.
Kouichi: The cat. It's your actions when you are panicking.
Tsuyoshi: Wow! Sleeping on the floor peacefully, for me! (laughs)
Kouichi: I will be jumping up real high! (laughs)
Note from the webmaster: I answered 16 for the girl's age... Yabai desune. I am way older than that. Guess I have to stop acting like a little girl by screaming my head out over Kou chan....

Walking or driving
A listener sent in a letter saying that she enjoyed walking and asked Kinki the longest distance they had walked.
Kouichi: Um, walking.
Tsuyoshi: I liked that (walking).
Kouichi: I don't like walking that much. No matter how close the convenience store is to my place, I will still drive there.
Tsuyoshi: If it's close by, it's faster to walk.
Kouichi: No, no, I would rather drive. Walking is so troublesome.
Tsuyoshi: You sound like an old man.
Kouichi: Let's drive!
Tsuyoshi: Let's walk!

Incidents on stage
A listener to the radio show sent in a question asking them the biggest incident (accident?) on stage they have ever had.
Kouichi: What will that be? What will that be? Ah, there was this one time when everything just seemed to stop for the time being.
Tsuyoshi: You really had such an experience?
Kouichi: Yes, I did, I did. It lasted for a few seconds.
Tsuyoshi: Ah, I know now, the time when you disappeared from the stage.
Kouichi: Hehe (laughs), yeah, I fell from the stage.
Tsuyoshi: You just disappeared from my view all in a sudden. I was thinking where had you gone.
Kouichi: It was a rock'n roll number. I was really excited with the tune, and tried to look smart like a rock'n roll singer, and then "Wow!! Oops!" and I fell.
Tsuyoshi: Yeah, you fell and I was shocked.
Kouichi: It was in Sendai. It was from a small platform and a 180° stage. Had it been in the Arena (a bigger venue), I could have got injured.
Tsuyoshi: That will be dangerous.
Note from the webmaster: Kou chan was definitely a rock'n roller, i.e. rocking on the stage and rolling down from it... (hehe) Actually, a similar incident happened in their recent Winter concert at Osaka City Hall. Kou chan and Tsuyo chan had to run around the stage and then were supposed to return to the stage at the same time, but Kou chan tripped and fell as he was running around. So when Tsuyo chan came back to the stage, Kou chan was not there yet. Tsuyo chan stood at the narrow place where Kou chan was supposed to return to the stage. When Kou chan returned, Tsuyo chan pretended to be his wife, and said, "Welcome home! Wanna have dinner first or take a bath first?". Kou chan laughed and felt really shy with Tsuyo chan blocking his way, he said, "Get out of my way!" Kou chan then tried to walk around Tsuyo chan and then tripped and almost fell again...

1992 or 1999?
This is the first episode of "Love Love" in 1999 after the New Year Special of it. They have now got a habit of adding something to the end of the "Kacha Kacha Machine" (the machine where you spin the knob and a bubble containing a question for the guest will come out).
Kouichi: Kacha Kacha Machine 1992! ( turning around to lift the Kacha Kacha Machine from the ground to its own stand)
Audience: E???? (don't understand why 1992)
Tsuyoshi: (looking serious and puzzled) What is that "1992" about?
Kouichi: (still working on lifting that heavy machine, whilst trying to look totally innocent and not knowing that he said "1992" just now, smiling) What?
Tsuyoshi: (turning to the camera whilst pointing at Kouichi with his finger) Hey, this guy over here is getting strange!
Kouichi: (smiling)
Tsuyoshi: (smiles) It's like we have just climbed a slope of 7 years...

Hair as an antenna?!
When a mature-looking guest says that he is about to be 20 years old, just like Kinki Kids, Tsuyo chan refers to his hairstyle today. His hair is styled with a lot of hair gel today so that two bunches of his hair on the top of his head stand up looking as though he has two horns on his head.
Tusyoshi: With my hair standing up like this, I look really silly (looking at his own image on the camera)
Kouichi: (looks at Tsuyoshi's hair, smiles and finds it fun, wants to touch the tips of Tsuyoshi's "horns")
Tsuyoshi: (pushing Kouichi's hand away) Hey, this will make the reception of signals weak.
Kouichi: (trying to touch Tsuyoshi's "antenna" again)
Tsuyoshi: ( pushing Kouichi's hand away again) Hey, stop it, this will delete the memory!

On telling a girl that you love her
The guest is talking about how to approach a girl.
Kouichi: People think that I am very good at that (approaching a girl).
Tsuyoshi: (pretending to be Kouichi, looking very cool and expression-less) "What do you want to eat?"
Sekine (co-host): When it's raining really heavily, you take the girl back to your flat, and then taking some clothes from a drawer, (gesturing as though he is throwing the clothes to someone without looking at that person), and you will say, "Get changed!"
Kouichi: I WANT to try that! (looking really excited and laughing)
Tsuyoshi: (gesturing as though he is towel-drying the hair of a girl in front of her, and then pretending to touch the girl's forehead with his forehead) and then you will say, "You seem to have a bit of a fever..."
Kouichi: (laughing and looking embarrassed) Hold it! This is some serious misunderstanding here!

Psychology test
Kouichi: In a place where it is full of piranha (a kind of man-eating fish), your girlfriend is about to jump into that place. At that time, what would you say?
Tsuyoshi: Oi, stop that!
Kouichi: When she returns unhurt, what would you say?
Tsuyoshi: What a stupid thing you did! But it's great, it's great that you are alive.
Kouichi: The thing you say when she is about to jump is what you will say when your girlfriend tells you that she is pregnant.
Tsuyoshi: That could not be? Pregnant?
Tsuyoshi: I'm pregnant. (acting out his answer)
Kouichi: Stop it! (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Pregnant...
Kouichi: Stop it (laughs)
Kouichi: The thing you say when she returns unhurt is what you will say when find out that she gives birth to a child safely.
Tsuyoshi: (laughing) What a stupid thing you did! (laughing)
Kouichi: I will say "stop it" for the first one too. In the case of the second one, my answer was "That's great!"

On their days off
They were looking back on their work schedule of 1998 and started talking about the fact that they are pretty relaxed in now and that they recently have had first continuous 4-days off since they started working in the entertainment industry. When asked what they did during those 4 days,
Kouichi: We went to have dinner together.
Nakai (host): Kinki went out together?
Tsuyoshi: Um, it partly has the meaning of reconfirming our status as a group, partly it is because when I was talking to my friend on the mobile phone, Kouichi looked at me with this lonely face..
Kouichi: .... (looking at Tsuyoshi, smiling sweetly)
Tsuyoshi: So I said (to Kouichi), "let's go together" and Kouichi said, "But I don't know your friend" and I told him it would be fine cos I would be there too. When we got there, I was like "Hi! This is my partner, Kouichi" and he (Kouichi) said, "Hi, I'm Kouichi, douzo yoroshiku..."
Then the host asked what else did they do during those 4 days,
Kouichi: Together with Naga chan of Tokio, the three of us went fishing.
(Tsuyoshi gesturing his fishing techniques next to Kouichi.)
Takaaki (host): Who is the one good at fishing?
Tsuyoshi: Naga chan is good at it, but the two of us are beginners.
Kouichi: But none of us caught anything...
Tsuyoshi: In the first 30 minutes, I cut the string with a piece of wood, fix the fishing stick with some rocks. Then I fell asleep all through...
Takaaki: That's not something for a 20-year old to do. Do something more aggressive!
Kouichi: Relaxing times now is like...
Tsuyoshi: It makes us feel that we are living the moment.

On food in the fridge
Tsuyoshi: Yesterday, I opened the fridge, thinking about getting something to drink, I open the cup inside the fridge and 2 or 3 moths came out and said, "Hey, long time no see.."
Kouichi: (in a really disgusted voice) Nagase (Tokio) too left a water melon in the fridge and mushroom started growing out of the water melon.
Tsuyoshi: Hey, ladies, water melon gave birth to mushrooms. (smiles)
Kouichi: Really, take good care of your food.

On shocking things about each other
When asked about the things of each other that shock them, Kouichi talks about Tsuyoshi:
Kouichi: His tummy on the sides.
Takurou (host): Tummy on the sides?
Kouichi: He's got these handles on the sides. It's as though I could carry him with those handles... (gesturing with his arms as though he were lifting up and then putting Tsuyoshi with the handles on the sides of his tummy.)
Tsuyoshi: That's one of the traditional body shapes of Johnny's idols.
Kouichi: No, that's not true.
Takurou: What are those handles made of?
Tsuyoshi: Fatty deposits.
Kouichi: Yeah, fatty materials.
Tsuyoshi: But I have no intention of working out.
Audience: Ossan (middle-aged men in Japanese).
Tsuyoshi:.... (laughs)
Takurou (Host): A guest being called Ossan, that's new.
Brother Tom (Host): It's even stranger for an idol to be called Ossan by his fans!
Tsuyoshi & Kouichi: ....(laugh out loud)
