On being unfaithful
Reading out a postcard from a listener:
Kouichi: "Good evening. Kinki Kids often say that they will never be in unfaithful in love. But what sort of actions will Kinki Kids consider as being unfaithful? For example, I think that talking on the phone with another when there is no special purpose or going out alone with another is being unfaithful. Holding hands as a joke is also being unfaithful. Please tell me what do you think."
Tsuyoshi: No! No! No! No------! (laughs)
Kouichi: What is being unfaithful....
Tsuyoshi: I think that if someone talks on the phone with someone or goes out alone with someone when they have no boyfriend/girlfriend, it's not flirting.
Kouichi: Yes.
Tsuyoshi: But that's limited to situations when both parties do not have a lover. But for example if you do not have a girlfriend, but the other person has a boyfriend and you call her up on the phone...
Kouichi: I think that's ok.
Tsuyoshi: No, I won't do that.
Kouichi: I think that's ok.
Tsuyoshi: You try and think of it as someone who is your lover?
Kouichi: I still think that's fine, if it's just a phone call.
Tsuyoshi: I can't allow that.
Kouichi: Why? It's just a phone call.
Tsuyoshi: No, no, no, no!
Kouichi: But if the two of them meet up alone, that's a bit of a problem. But if there are a lot of other people..
Tsuyoshi: I think even just a phone call is not fine.
Kouichi: Just a phone call is fine.
Tsuyoshi: No, that's disgusting. What if it's a call from a guy who plays the field?
Kouichi: Ah, that's sickening.
Tsuyoshi: That's not fine.
Kouchi: That's a different situation. But you get jealous very easily.
Tsuyoshi: Yes, very easily.

On "love"
The week before, Kou chan could not do the "Donna Monya" show from Monday to Thursday as he was busy with the shooting of "P.S. Genki desu, Shunpei" . When talking to Kou chan over the phone, Tsuyo chan announced in the air that Kou chan should do the show alone for one week as a compensation to Kou chan's fans who cannot hear his voice during the show. Today is the Monday following that:
Kouichi: It's Doumoto Kouichi from Kinki Kids!
Tsuyoshi: It's Doumoto Tsuyoshi. (Sounding as though he is yelling from afar.)
Kouichi: E??? Tsuyoshi's voice sounds strange though....
Tsuyoshi: Yes, Yes.
Kouichi: (laughs)Don't talk like that to me, it's not nice. Coming over here will be better.
Tsuyoshi: I don't want to come over.
Kouichi: Why do you have to stay there? (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Today, I will talk to you from across this glass panel.
Kouichi:(smiles) I feel as though I were being bullied....
Tsuyoshi: That's not bullying. That's LOVE.
Kouichi: (smiles) So happy to hear you say that!

On having Yakiniku (BBQ meat) alone
Tsuyoshi is famous of having a habit of going out to have Yakiniku all alone in the middle of the night.
Tsuyoshi: Recently, I haven't had Yakiniku alone for quite a while. It's not something I would recommend someone to do cos you will feel awkward when you see people in the restaurant having a good time with their family and friends. Higashiyama san (Shounentai) once asked me to call him when I want to have Yakiniku but I never have the courage to do so.
Kouichi: (saying in a really coarse, masculine, old man's voice) If you want to go, ask me!
Tsuyoshi: But going out with you will be like doing it for getting a gossip topic for concert...

On psychology test
A listener sent in a psychology test again:
Kouichi: In the body of girls, which do you like best among the followings?
Tsuyoshi: Yes.
Kouichi: (Taking a deep breath so that he can say it in one go without stopping) Legs, breast, hips and arms. Which one?
Tsuyoshi: (answers immediately) Breast.
Kouichi: I like them all....
Tsuyoshi: For me, I will pick breast.
Kouchi: Those who anser breast have a complex for mother-like figures.
Tsuyoshi: Oh, is that so? For me now, rather than holding a girl tightly,
Kouichi & Tsuyoshi: Want to be held tightly by a girl!
Kouichi: Want to be wrapped up by a girl.
Tsuyoshi: Want to be surrounded by a girl's breast. It gives a peaceful and secured feeling.
Kouichi: Um, I have a fetish for legs. But basically I like all parts (of a girl's body).
Tsuyoshi: Um. What do legs stand for then?
Koucihi: People who anser legs, are the type who will stick to his love seriously.
Tsuyoshi: That's good.
Kouichi: But I like breast too. And hips too.
Tusyoshi: What do hips stand for then?
Kouichi: Those ansering hips are those who are mentally independent. For those answering arms, they will give everything to the girl.

On driving Tsuyo chan
Kouichi: You don't even have a driving licence, so we can't go driving together....
Tsuyoshi: Licence, if I have one, it will be convenient, but I don't have the time to get a licence. Recently, I got a day off, I ended up writing the essay for work.
Kouichi: That's fine. Recently, when I drove Tsuyoshi in my car, he fell deeply asleep. I was really glad he did that. I felt that he felt safe with me. It was like, "he gave me his life". Fufufu... (laughing meaningfully)
Tsuyoshi: Ah... That's thinking too much.. I just got bitten by the sleeping bug there.

On not getting on stage in time
Tonight's guest is TRF. One of the members of TRF mentioned that she once could not get out to the stage in time after getting changed.
Kouichi: That happened to me once too. It was back in the time of Smap's musical and we were dancing at their back. I was washing the clothes back stage (gesturing as though he were washing the clothes with both his hands) and then the music suddenly started and I was like, "Oh, my God!" (gesturing as though he were washing the clothes harder and faster.) That was a real shock to me.
Tsuyoshi: That was even more a shock to me. I was out there dancing. Usually my eyes would meet Kouichi's as he danced opposite me, but that day, it was some other Junior and I was shocked. Then I turned around and saw, at the entrance to the stage, Kouichi looking at me like this. (Pretending to be Kou chan hanging onto the curtains and looking really worried, lonely and left-out there.)

On "To dance or not to dance"
Tonight's guest is Oohara Reiko. After Shinohara has done a funny face to the camera and walked down from the stage,
Kouichi: .... (looking as though he were turing to the side of Oohara san and trying to talk to her whilst extending his right hand as though he were referring to Tsuyo chan, but completely speechless and then turns to look at Tsuyo chan, still completely speechless.)
Tsuyoshi: E????(laughing)
(At this point, what happened just now is being played back.)
Tsuyoshi: What is that? (mimicking Kou chan's funny action just now) Is that some sort of robort dance? If you want to dance, you dance; If you want to talk, you talk. Do just one or the other.
Kouichi: (laughing really shyly) I was talking in my heart just now....
Tsuyoshi: It looks like a waiter with a dish, asking,
Both Kouichi and Tsuyoshi: "Whose order is this dish?"

On Tokyo Dome Concerts as a whole
Reporter: The audience were excited throughout the concert.
Tsuyoshi: If that was the case, I am so happy. But for me, it was difficult to hear the cheering from the audience (because of the size of the venue and the distance between the stage and the audience).
Kouichi: The fans felt frustrated, didn't they? With all that distance, I believe that there were so many occasions when they probably thought, "What should we do?"
Tsuyoshi: Really, the Dome is so big!
(Note from the webmaster: After reading this article, I am so touched by Kou chan. He must have really thought about things from the fans' standpoint and has probably been reading our mail to him telling him that we felt lonely at the Dome with all that distance between us and Kinki.)

On the bike-chasing scene at Tokyo Dome Concert
Reporter: The acrylic slope must be very slippery, making the bike-chasing scene very dangerous.
Kouichi: Yes, that's extremely slippery! Also, the flooring at Tokyo Dome's stae was brand new, so it was slippery to dance on as well. It was difficult to turn with the handles of the bike.
Reporter: With the cables on the ground, it was also not flat.
Kouichi: Also with the lighting shining on the ground directly, it was such a strong reflection that I could not see ahead. It was really frightening.
Reporter: Knowing that Kouichi kun would be doing such a dangerous thing, what do you think, Tsuyoshi kun?
Tsuyoshi: Well, someone has to do it. (laughs)
Kouichi: Ahahaha (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: I don't have a driving licence, so objectively thinking, Kouichi has to be the one.
(The Ichiban Date: 26th April, 1999)

"Oi Oi!"
Kou chan is well known to be a night creature as he likes to stay up till very late at night. Tonight's guest is Suzuki Ami.
Kouichi: When do you usually go to bed?
Ami: About 10 pm.
Kouichi: Oi! Oi!
Tsuyoshi: (looking serious) You are the one that should be told "Oi! Oi!"
Kouichi: (surprised by the sudden criticism from Tsuyoshi and looked completely puzzled about why he should be the one told "Oi! Oi!")
Tsuyoshi: Getting home and then taking a bath and then coming out at 11pm or midnight and then watching those Shopping TV channels until the morning, that's "Oi! Oi!"
Kouichi: But aren't those commercials interesting. There is this skywalker thing. (gesturing as though he is working out on the skywalker, turning to Ami) Do you watch those commercials too?
Ami: Yes, but I taped them to watch.
Kouichi: Taping those commercials? That's strange.

On the weak points on Tsuyo chan's body
Tonight, Hirosue Ryouko is the guest and when asked about her weak points, she mentioned that she did not like her upper arm.
Tsuyoshi: I have a weak point, I can't let people whom I don't know do a massage for me.
Hirosue: I am very good at massage.
Tsuyoshi: Tha't not what I am talking about.
Kouichi: I am ok with strangers giving me a massage.
Tsuyoshi: In hotels, there are these old ladies who come and do a massage. I can't stand it when they massage both sides of my waist (gesturing that massage pose). When someone does that to me, I will start talking in language of the planet where I once lived.
Kouichi: (smiles in a mischievous way) Like this? (suddenly massages Tsuyo chan's waist from both sides.)
Tsuyoshi: Ahhhh, iiiiiin..... (jumps up from the chair to escape from Kou chan's hands for a while and then sitting down again)
Kouichi: What about here? (massages the centre of Tsuyo chan's back)
Tsuyoshi: Assshiiii, Asshiiiii! (jumps up from his chair again)
Kouichi: What are you saying?
Tsuyoshi: The language from the planet where I once lived.
Kouichi: What does that mean in Japanese?
Tsuyoshi: In Japanese, "milktea"!
Kouichi: (laughs and throws a piece of paper at Tsuyo chan).
