On being a prince
Tonight's guest is Micchi who is also called a prince in the Japanese entertainment industry.
Kouichi: I sense a bit of rivalry tonight...
Micchi: In what ways?
Kouichi: In terms of being a prince....
Micchi: Kouichi is a prince too?
Kouichi: Yeah, I am the Prince On The White Horse.
Micchi: And I am the Prince of Immorality.
Kouichi: The Prince of Immorality?
Micchi: But I have changed my occupation, so in Japan, there is only one prince now, and that's you Kouichi.
Kouichi: That's fine then
A few minutes later, Micchi blew a couple of kisses to the audience, Kouichi saw that

On expressing his love to girls
I can never express my love to girls directly. Never. Ah, in my second year of secondary school, I once did that and got turned down. I told her my feelings over the phone, and she said, "sorry...". It was a shock for me. Back then, Tsuyoshi was there for me. It was a story from the old times...

It has to be height. Around the height of Nagase (Tokio)... That will be too tall. (smiles) 175cm will be the best. My father is tall, so I think that I can still grow taller. But my mom is petite though.

Favourite part..... no such a part. Absolutely no. Um... If I really have to pick one, it's the body that does not seem to get fat. No matter how much I eat, I still do not get fat. Basically, I don't eat much sweet stuffs, but I do eat at irregular times, but I still do not put on weight.

On his school days
Back in secondary school, because of my work, I felt a bit isolated in the class. But I did have friends and was not too worried about becoming the most popular guy in the class. In my first year at secondary school, I was the last leg in a relay race on Sport's Day. In the first 70M, I was real fast and had a clear lead over others. But after that "70M" point, I suddenly lost speed. I guess I just don't have a "100M body". (smiles) In the last 30M, others overtook me and I did not become the hero of the day.

Ah, I know that one. Rather than Marilyn Monroe, I prefer Audrey Hepburn. Because she's elegant. I'm not so good with girls like Marilyn Monroe. I can't handle girls who appeal to me with a strong sex appeal. I'm no good with glamourous girls, I don't find them sexy.

On stress
Stress has different symptoms on people. For me, it makes my feet difficult to stay still. This is particulary troublesome when I am trying to fall asleep. I just can't keep them still and start kicking them in the air. (laughs) This way, I just can't fall asleep in the middle of the night and become miserable.

I feel real bad when I wake up. When I was a kid, I had low blood pressure, so when I got up in the morning, I felt real sick. For many years, I have been dreaming about getting up in the morning and feeling good. How will that feel?

On Things That Make Him Feel Relaxed / Peaceful
Things that make me feel peaceful? Umm... Looking at photos of cats. Photos of cute cats can make me feel relaxed for an hour. I love cats. Everything about cats is nice. I just have to take one look at their cute looks, and I will feel like playing with me. (smiles) Also, watching an old couple getting along well is also one of my favourites. In a television commercial for a kitchen cleaner, there are this old man and old lady coming out of a supermarket, carrying their shopping bags. I just have to see this and will feel really touched. It might be slightly different from feeling peaceful, but I also like being part of J-Friends. Being together with the guys makes me so happy. Kinki is just two persons, so backstage, it's very quiet. But when all the boys are together, I feel relaxed. Maybe it's not such a good thing, but with Shigeru kun (Tokio) and Sakamoto kun (V6) by my side, responsibilities are being dispersed.

What He Wears In Bed
In winter, I sometimes wear pyjama, but now I wear only my underpants. It's so comfortable. I can put up with cold weather, but hot weather is disgusting. When it gets so hot that it is beyond my limits, I will get very irritable all by myself. In such times, please forgive me. For underpants, most of mine are monotone briefs. I don't know how many do I have, but it will be close to 30.

On Things He Is Most Scared Of
Ghosts, the rooftops of high-rising buildings, are all fine by me, but I really can't handle insects. They don't have to get close to me, just coming within my sight, and I'll feel..... In the opening scenes of Harmonia shot by the sea, there were so many insects flying around during shooting, and it was so tough on me. In the past, I could stay calm with insects. On His Favourite Kind of Rooms
The kind of rooms that will make me feel comfortable and relaxed is the kind that looks like a hotel room: tidy, clean, indirect lighting, a unified feeling. Not the Japanese type of hotel rooms. The kind of rooms that does not look lived-in is better. I don't mind about the view from the room though, most of the time I keep my curtains shut. What are the basic items I want? Umm.. Bed, television, sofa.... A girlfriend? Even if I say I want a girlfriend, "it" won't just fall on my lap. (smiles) Anyway, right now, rather than a girlfriend, I want friends. Both boys and girls are fine as long as I can go out with them feeling relaxed.

• What kind of relationship does His Majesty want?
  I want a relationship in which myself and my partner can both be positive and stable emotionally, ie. a good relationship. Rather than having a relationship in which the man protects and takes care of the girl and thereby with man occupying a more prominent position, I prefer a relationship in which both parties are equal. To achieve this kind of relationship, my partner will have to be intelligent, someone who can put their ideas into actions. Also, she has to be caring to the people around her, and a bit "crazy". I want someone who is serious, but if one is too serious, it won't be that cute.

• On a girl's looks
  In a way, I take a girl by her looks. I believe that if a girl has a nice character, it will show on her face. If someone has a bad personality, he/she definitely won't look good. It's the same for men and women. So having a plastic surgery to correct one looks is no good. It's not natural. Anything that is unnatural is no good. Even for women's breasts, natural is best. (laugh) By the way, I don't like girls with big breasts.

• On seperation?
  I heard it from someone, after one member of a married couple died, the remaining one gets up and opens the curtain, saying "it's rainy today", only to find out that there is no response. I think that's very sad. When both of them were alive, they just talked to each other and took it for granted. But when that becomes impossible, it's so lonely. This way, the relationship is a much treasured cumulation of everyday's stuffs. I want such a relationship.

• On Nagase Tomoya
  When I am with Naga chan, I feel very relaxed. That guy has such a pureness. He has the heart of a teenage guy. That's why, no matter how long I talk with him, I still won't feel fed up. I got on very well with him right from the start. Naga chan maybe has already forgotten it, when we first met, he brought a set of video game to my place and said, "Let's play video game." The way that he is so friendly is really great. But just stop bringing the video of "Tonari No Totoro" over, saying "it's super cute" and then forces me to watch it. (laugh). I watched it till the very end though.

  Before, when I went to Japanese restaurant with Tsuyoshi, he looked at the menu, pointing at the entree "Hiyayakko" (a type of Tofu desert which when written in kanji looks like a "cold guy"), he says, "What is this "Cold Guy"?" Back then he was SO cute!
