On his favourite cuisine, Yakiniku (some sort of BBQ Beef in Japan)
I went to this Yakiniku restaurant the other day. I went there alone. The moment I walked in, the owner asked me, "How many persons?", I said "one". Then when I ordered some food, the owner said "so lonely". Then my mobile phone rang, thinking that it was my friends, I picked up the phone, and said, "Hello", "Ah, mom". My mom asked me where I was, I said "Yakiniku restaurant", and then she asked, "With friends?", I said "No, all by myself." And she said, "so lonely...."

On the subject of stars
Talking about songs on stars, I sometimes go to Karaoke and sing Smap's "On the other side of the evening sky" (Yozora no mukou) and Fujii Fumiya's "Another Orion". "Another Orion" is a great song. The lyrics is about long-distance love and is a sad song. When I sing it, I feel very much immersed in the song. I also sing quite a lot of other songs of Fumiya san. He is now 33 or 34 of age. These are adult's songs, but even for my generation, these songs arouse so much feelings among us. Usually his songs are quite difficult to sing because Fumiya san's key is higher than mine. But it is very easy to sing it with emotions. Recently, I went to a karaoke where they rate your singing skills, I sang Fumiya san's "True Love" and got 96 points. But when I sang "Want to love rather than being loved" (Aisareru yori aishitai, Kinki's 2nd single) and I got only 72 points. How come?

On what made him cry recently
There was this one scene in "God, please give me a little more time..." (Kami sama, mou sukoshi dake). It was in the escalator at the airport, when the two characters walked past each other without noticing each other. I thought, "That's so sad" and tears were falling down my cheeks.

On Yoshida Takuro

On a snowy day, I was worrying about Takuro san catching a cold and phoned him. At that time, he told me that he did have a cold that had been going on for quite a while, so I told him to take some vitamins and children's cold remedies. And then, the following day, he left a message on my answering machine, " I tried what Tsuyoshi kun told me to do, in a different way, I felt better. Thank you for this really great experience."

On Things That Make Him Feel Relaxed / Peaceful
Things that make me feel relaxed? At our age, it has to be friends or girls. My friends from my high school days, are either playing sports at college, working hard, etc.. When we talk, we talk about normal stuffs, such as "I just got selected in the college sports team", "I got a girlfriend", "I go to work everyday on a bus wearing a suit". Um, I go to my friends' houses too. But when I get to other's homes, I just don't know what to talk about. But if there are just guys there, I will feel as though I were at my own home and relaxed. But once, my friend had her girlfriend there as well, and it was tough. (smiles) I just kept thinking that "Hey, this is the girl of this guy" and became lost for words. I must have looked as though I ignored her completely. (smiles)

On What He Does At Hotels
When I am on tour, after the concert, I go back to the hotel and do nothing. I just take a bath and go to sleep. I even won't watch the telly. Most often, I don't bring anything with me. I usually just bring a portable MD player with me for listening to music while travelling. I listen to Mr. Children all the time.

• How does His Majesty want a girl to approach him on Valentine's Day?
  Whatever phrase she choses is alright with me. But if she does not tell me directly, it won't work. A straight-forward "Ilike you" will do.

• On age difference
  I don't want to her to be too much younger than me, cos that will make me feel guilty. So even if I come to like a girl who is much younger than me, I will hesitate over it. Also, I cry sometimes. A boy can't cry in front of a girl who is younger than him, due to a man's pride. I prefer someone who is up to 3 years older than me. That way, I can talk with her, sometimes I can be cute in front of her. Recently, I am in a mode of wanting to look cute. Rather than holding a girl, I would rather be held by her. Because I can't look weak on TV, so I want to let my weaker side show in the relationship.

  I prefer a girl who can do domestic chores, cos I am no good at it. Basically, if she asks me to help out on doemstic chores, I will help her. But just don't say that too often please. I don't have that many stuffs that I hate or like, so just cook me anything and I will it.

• Okada Junichi
  Okada is like my younger brother and my friend. He and I are very much similar, from the way we worry about things, the way we are shy in front of strangers. In many ways, I think that he is very similar to me. By the way, recently, due to my influence, Okada is also learning to play guitar. Recently, when I was not feeling very well and fell asleep, in my dreams I heard "Everything It's You" of Mr. Children. When I got up due to this song, Okada was singing it very loudly next to me. Hey, hey, I am asleep. (laugh)

• On Inohara Yoshihiko
  Inocchi is like an elder brother to me. He is a very serious person when it comes to the way of thinking. He is very strong at heart. When I talk to him, I feel very close to him. When I am puzzled and talk to him, he will tell me "It's because Tsuyoshi is putting up with too many things. It's better if you let your stress be expresed. If you want to talk to someone, talk to me." I felt very grateful for what he said. He is a really nice elder brother.

• On Dohmoto Kouichi
  Really Kinki Kids is about two persons. Without him, there won't be Kinki Kids. Most other groups such as Tokio and V6, have more members and if I were in a larger group, I would sit there and not talk that much. But since there are only the two of us, we have to keep talking.
