In short, that is an adventurous novel by Tomiyuki Matsumoto

with illustrations done by CLAMP. An ad shows that the novel has been serialized in the monthly Asuka magazine, but most of the information here are found in the CLAMP Campus Public Guide Book, which CLAMP has designed it to be the "Volume 0" of their cooperating story. By the way, please note that

is a story (manga?) by both CLAMP and Mastumoto, but

is Matsumoto's own novel--well, they share the same characters anyway.

CLAMP has done illustrations for other novels before (such as REX and Soryuden), but CGK (hereafter used for that long title) is written based on existing CLAMP elements such as CLAMP's characters and the CLAMP Campus. In the CGK story, there are 5 main characters in the story, all of them are students of the CLAMP Campus and members of the CGK Club. Each of them uses his/her special abilities to help investigate all the strange but always funny cases happened on the vast CLAMP Campus pentagon (as if the White House would have been humble comparing to it...). The following are obtained from the TRPG game published in CLAMP Campus Detective Guide Book. The archetype are just my own playful suggestion ^_^.

	Takayuki Usyagiya Senior High 2B, 16, M. He can summon a ghost maid. Played by Nanase Ohkawa in TRPG. Archetype: Though the name reminds us of Yukito (CCS), but more mature characters such as Fuuma or even Seishirou would be closer. However, Takayuki is a gentle and smart person. And the maid looks exactly like Marygold in the former "Herbal Tea" section in CSWC.
	Mifuu Mizukagami Senior High 3Z, 18, F. She has a hidden sword called "Toratetsu" (Tiger pierce). Played by Satsuki Igarashi in TRPG. Archetype: Definitely Hikaru (MKR), but Arashi (X) also bears a sword. So does Shunka (SSD).
	Rion Ibuki Middle High 2C, 14, F. She is a miko of a shrine, so she is able to listen to the sound of the spirits and control objects telephethically. Played by Mike Nekoi in TRPG. Archetype: She looks like Nagisa (CCD) to me, but her innocent look can be deceiving because she is very strong in psychic power!
	Kouji Takamura Junior High 6A, 11, M. Yes, he is that cousin of Suoh from CCD. Kouji is still a learner of the art. Played by Apapa Mokona in TRPG. Archetype: A friend suggests he looks like the young Sorata, but I'm thinking that little guy in RR Kenshin.
	Yuuki Ajiadou Senior High 2A, 16, F M! A strange guy who always want to dress like a girl. Want to be a super female idol. Posseses great psychic power. Played by (who?!) Takeshi Okazaki Archetype: Now this never happen in CLAMP's stories, but is already adopted by another mangaka.
	Tarou Ryuugasaki Senior High 2D, 16, M. A goat head man with dog tail? It is just an extra character during the TRPG played by the author Matsumoto.
