Let's talk about Céline

Céline Dion was propelled to international superstadom by the phenomenal success of her 1996 album, Falling into you. Her 1997 album release is called Let's talk about Love. The new album is a fifteen songs collection and is a perfect showcase for Céline's remarkable talents. It also illustrates her international standing in the music business. On this album Céline collaborates with a cross-section of some of the greatest performers in the history of popular music. Barbra Streisand, The Bee Gees and Luciano Pavarotti all contribute to a gala celebration of the canadian diva's international appeal. Let's talk about Love was recorded in London, New York and Los Angeles, and, in addition to the superstars above , includes some of popular music's greatest songwriters and producers (as Tony Renis, Fabio and Alberto Testa). Tell Him was the first single from the album. It is a duet with the legendary Barbra Streisand. This awesome sounding collaboration came about when the singers met at the 1997 Academy Awards. The Reason is the first track on the album. It was written by Carole King and was produced by the legendary Beatles producer Sir George Martin. The track was produced and recorded at Air Studios in London. Immortality was written by Barry Gibb and The Bee Gees. It is the second song on Let's talk about Love. The Bee Gees also lent backing vocals to this beautiful, airy ballad. The song was produced by Walter A. at the Hit Factory in New York. Treat her Like a Lady sees Céline move into dancehall mode. This is an uplifting happy-go-lucky track that turns up the album's tempo. Written by a team that included Diana King, Trat her Like a Lady was produced by Ric Wake at the Hit Factory in NYC.I Hate You Then I Love You was a smash hit worldwide for italian superstar Tony Renis in the Sixties. The version on Let's Talk About Love, benefits from the vocaol power of Céline and another italian singing sensation, Luciano Pavarotti. The song Let's Talk About Love was written by canadian rock giant Bryan Adams and french popstar Jean-Jacques Goldman and produced by David Foster. Although the song was a late addition to the album it is the kind of sing-a-long ballad that Céline is rightly famous for. Lavish production techniques, reminiscent of the Beatles at their peak (including strings and a hilren's choir), lend the song a magical, ethereal quality.
