News on the Final Fantasy Series

Can't get enough of Sephiroth, Cloud and Tifa?

Good news! If you want more battles with the characters from Final Fantasy VII, then you definately have to get the game Ehrgeiz. It now features several fighters from the game FFVII, along with other characters from other various fighting games. The characters from FFVII are actually playable, so if you are adoring Sephiroth from afar, get closer, get the game. It will be available May 1999. If you would like more information on the game, go to Squaresoft's website at Squaresoft. Wait for the page to load up and click on the picture of Squall from FFVIII. It should take you to Squaresoft's page where you can check out characters, battles and lots more. It's worth it. Especially for all of us waiting for Winter 1999 when they will issue the US version of FFVIII.

God Bless the Ring: EZ Ehrgeiz!

*Note* There was an ad in the GamePro magazine, May's issue I believe, advertising this game.

Final Fantasy: The Movie

"At last, one of gaming's deepest story lines is getting its shot at the silver screen. Columbia Pictures and Square have announced that a computer-generated animated film based on the Final Fantasy series, a fan favorite, will hit American theaters in 2001.

"Final Fantasy: The Movie will be the realization of a dream to create a brand new form of entertainment that unites computer games with motion pictures, using the latest in computer graphics animation technology." said Hironobu Sakaguchi, the film's director and president of Hawaii-based Square USA. "With this film, I want to create entertainment that touches the imagination of new generations by setting the viewer on an exciting voyage of personal discoveries."

Set in the year 2065, the movie will be "an ultimate fantasy story about life and death." No character info or further details were available at press time, but we'll have more news as it becomes available.

Will Sephiroth, the popular villian from the series show up in the FF movie? Cross your fingers and stay tuned."
