Having problems trying to find Yuffie and Vincent? Here's the hint page for you.
You don't have to have either Yuffie or Vincent to win the game, but come on, it's sure fun to find them and Yuffie has a special quest all of her own!
Yuffie can be found where ever there are forests, but you have to be careful, she slips away easily. First, defeat her, it's not very hard, and a screen will come up where she is lying on the ground. DO NOT SAVE! Go over to her and speak to her. She will eventually say something like this:
- Yuffie: "You spikey-headed jerk! One more time, let's go one more time!"
Now, you could figure out on your own what to say, but the problem is, one wrong answer and she disappears and you have to chase her down again in another forest. This is what you have to say to get her to join your group.
- Yuffie: "You spikey-headed jerk! One more time, let's go one more time!"
- Cloud: "Not interested.
- Yuffie: "You're pretty scared of me huh?"
- Cloud: "Petrified. She begins to leave.
- Yuffie: "I'm really gonna leave. REALLY!"
- Cloud: "Wait a second!
- Yuffie: "You want me to go with you?"
- Cloud: "That's right."
- Yuffie: "All right! I'll go with you."
- Cloud: "Let's hurry on."
She will begin to follow you and then tell you her name. She is now one of you.
Yuffie has a quest of her own and it is optional. You must go to Wutai which is to the far left on the world map, last continent at the top. It's really hard to find and you can only get there if you have Cid Highwind's little plane that crashed into the water during your adventure in Rocket Town. What I'm trying to say is that you can't make it to Yuffie's town, until you complete the Wutai adventure. I will explain later on what the Wutai adventure is.
Vincent is in Shinra Mansion the second time you visit it. The only way you can get Vincent though is if you know the combination on the safe. The safe hides the key to Vincent's resting place in the room on the left below Shinra Mansion in the library.
First to get the key, you have to follow a series of confusing clues. Anyone interested in what the clues are deciphered, please e-mail me. Otherwise, here is the combination to the safe. "Right 36, Left 10, Right 59, and Right 97" You have to do this combination quick before the time runs out. You can do it!
When you open it you are immediately attacked by Lost Number. You have to use your strong spells and if you can, equip Aeris beforehand and make sure her limit is set so she can do her Seal Evil. This will paralyze Lost Number. Choco/Mog is also a good spell to use too. When the battle is over get the key and go to the basement.
It's the same place you found Sephiroth last time. You go down the long hallway and come to another room where it looks like experiments have been done. To your left is a door. You can now go in it. Try to talk to the coffin and if you get no response then, when you turn to leave, Vincent will throw open his coffin and talk to you. Tell him about Sephiroth. He will go back to sleep. Wake him up again and again until he will no longer open the coffin to talk. Leave his room, visit the library and talk to Sephiroth. Vincent will join your group when you leave Shinra Mansion.
