Chapter 3
Sing Chi grabbed Ching Ching and started to chase after the man. He knew that Ching Ching wouldn’t have enough of
strength to follow them.They were going so fast that she couldn’t see anything, just felt the wind on her face and body.
Soon, they got closer and closer to the man.Like if he guessed that someone had followed him, the man has headed to a
forest outside of the walls of the capital. When they arrived to the North wall, the guy just climbed it easily, so did Sing
Chi even if hehad Ching Ching on his back. No soldiers have seen them... Sing Chi was getting closer to the manand they
arrived to a forest. Then, Sing Chi gently dropped Ching Ching on the ground and stopped the man with a stroke. He was very
careful,knowing that this man wasn’t just a normal man. He was about to hit theman on the throat, when something brilliant
dazzled him. Sing Chi immediately jumped aside, but still felt something really sharp cutting the air. When Sing Chi looked at
the man, he saw a big saber andwondered where it came from. Very fast, Sing Chi regained consciousnessand used 5 parts
of his inner power and Hwa Shan’s kung fu « TigerStrokes » to fight... His opponent wasn’t mix up at all and couldhandle it
kinda easily.
« His kung fu is very powerful, I’ve never seen anyone controlling a heavy and sharp saber with so much precision
likehim. This man’s kung fu is really good, even better then most of my friends and maybe the « Dumb guy », thought Sing
Chi, surprised.
« His kung fu must be a family heritage, no sect in mo lam use saber fast like this, but which family is it ? » Sing Chi
couldn’t think of anyfamily, so he decided to change suddenly of stroke, using Golden Snake’s strokes to surprise his
opponent and soon, he hit him in the chest. Then, something brilliant from his opponent fell on the ground and very fast,
Sing Chi picked it up : it was a gold plaque with a nameon it : « Fei Tin Wu Lei, Wu Tin, Chong Wong’s guard »...
Surprised, he wasn’t for long and soon managed to pull the scarf of the man by increasing his inner power.
Sing Chi was holding the scarf in his hand, the 2 opponents were standing, immobile, staring at each other. Ching Ching
was standing on one side and looked at Sing Chi’s opponent... A man in the thirties,good-looking with a beard, big
mustaches and brilliant eyes. She didn’t understand why Sing chi looked at the man so intensely.
« Do they know each other » was she wondering. She stepped forwards Sing Chi and asked him :« Who is he ?
and then she looked at the man again.Sing Chi handed her the gold plaque. When she read it, she was very surprised,
but didn’t have time to ask any questions, being interrupted by the man:
-Who are you two ? Why were you following me ? Then he pointed at Sing Chi and asked, Are you from Hwa Shan’s
sect ? If so, how is going Thoi Thu Son ?
-Are you really « Fei Tin Wu Lei » ? What are you doing with the money? Why do you steal it ? asked back Ching
Ching without responding to the questions.
-Of course, I’m Wu Tin, I don’t have to change my name ! he answered kinda offended. What am I doing with the
money ? Well same thing as you! ! Helping the poor ! Do you think that I, Wu Tin, would steal from others for
my own benefits ?
-Why would we have to trust you ? You are one of Li Zhi Ching’s men,actually, you are one of his closest man,
the leader of his 4 guards !Why would you steal the money of your colleagues ? Of your chief’s men? asked Ching Ching.
-I’m really Wu Tin and I just want to help the peasants, you can believe me or not ! (He seemed irritated) I don’t need
this money, it’sjust that so many peasants are dying, we have to help them. And ChongWong’s men aren’t my colleagues,
I don’t care about them, I am only Chong Wong’s guard, my task is to protect him ! So, you, pointing at Sing Chi, are
you from Hwa Shan ? What’s your name !

is going well, he went in another region to help.
-Dai goh ! (Ching Ching looked at him and understood) You believe him ?! ?

and help peasants.
-It’s all right, miss. I understand. I know that most of people in the court aren’t good, and also the soldiers are acting
like barbarians, causing troubles to the peasants. But like I said, they aren’t my colleagues, my only colleagues and best
friends are Miu, Fan, Teen, the 3 others guards. Our task is to protect Chong Wong. And whatever ChongWong does,
we won’t ever change and most of his men will be faithful to him, because most of them, just like me, own him their life.

Sing chi and Ching Ching understood that Wu Tin was very respectful to Li Zhi Ching and whatever they said wouldn’t
make him change. Even if deep inside, Wu Tin knew that Li Zhi Ching wasn’t a good emperor, Wu Tin would be forever
faithful to his chief. So none of them said anything.They head back to the capital and talked at the same time, questioning
each other. Wu Tin was very smart, he began to steal money when Ching Ching began, because he didn’t want to be
suspected. Even if he was faithful to Chong Wong, Chong Wong wouldn’t agree with his acts, so he made it secretly. He
gave all the money that he stole to some people he trusted and some unions like Beggar Union. As for Sing Chi, he explained
why his group was here, where they were living and all. He expressed his wishes to go to Shan Guai Guan as soon as possible.
When they arrived to the walls of the capital, they greet each other andwent in separate ways. Wu Tin left them, while Ching
Ching and Sing Chi started to climb the North wall.Like before, Sing Chi climbed it easily and just behind him, you could see
Ching Ching. On all the way from Hwa Shan to the capital, even if they were busy trying to help people, Sing Chi had taken
times to teach Ching Ching and Tit Sau some kung fu. Just in few days, Ching Ching’s inner power had increased rapidly,
learning her father’s skills. Even if she couldn’t beat or follow Wu Tin, she wasn’t far behind. At least,she had made lot’s of
improvements. As for Tit Sau, since her inner power was already very powerful, she had mastered easily the new kungfu
Sing Chi was teaching to her. Even if only using Hwa Shan’s sect’s kung fu, she couldn’t beat the « Dumb Guy » yet, her
skill wasn’t bad, at least, she could defeat easily Thoi.... or Tieu Tue, both of them were also learning from Sing Chi, but since
their just finished mastering the basic of Hwa Shan’s kung fu, their improvements weren’t fast. And Hang Thang Hai was
learning with the « Dumb Guy », the two ofthem had became very closed friends and you could also see their skill’s
improvements. So, Ching Ching climbed the wall easily, and soon they came back home.
The sun was starting to get high in the sky....When they arrived home, Sing Chi and Ching Ching found everyone waiting
for them in the living room. When they saw the couple, they all stood up rapidly and started asking questions :
« Have you found the robber ?»,
« What happened ? », etc.
Then Ching Ching related all what happened: their meeting with Wu Tin, how Wu Tin was and etc. Ho Tit Sau looked
at Sing Chi :
« Does that mean we’ll be leaving the capital soon ?
-Yes, but before, I want to stay here 2 or 3 more days to continue the routine. We’ll give all this money to Wu dai hup,
then he’ll do whatever he wants with it when we’ll be gone.
-Are you sure we can trust Wu Tin, asked Tit Sau. -Yes, we can trust Wu dai hup, Ho goo goo ! shouted Thoi...
Wu dai hup is really a dai hup, he was one of shuk shuk closest friend. Even great master respected him and his kung fu
is really powerful. He isn’t the type of chickens ministers around Li Zhi Ching.
-Hy Man is right, see mui. I’ve heard a lot of Wu dai hup from see hing and Thoi shuk shuk, even from Li dai goh.
We can trust him, but now, I think that everyone need some rest », added Sing Chi with a smile.
Everyone went to sleep, but only few hours after, they woke up and went to distribute the money that they had left,
still Ching Ching hadn’t steal anything the last night. But she did very well that night, like if she had stolen up for the missed
night, bringing back an enormous amounts of money.
The next day, like usually, they went distributing the money to beggars and peasants. They also bought food and clothes to
give for those who needed it. The soldiers got habituated to them, even if some wondered where all the money came. They
didn’t ask or disturb them, because on the first day, Hy Man had beaten some of them very badly (they tried to stop them
helping by seizing the money), so they kept a distance, kinda afraid. So everyone were helping in different place, while Sing
Chi and Ching Ching tried to spot the next unlucky houses.In a small alley, a woman with her little daughter and baby were
walking. They were very happy, because they just met a strange girl wearing a white outfit with an iron hand. This kind lady
had gave them some food , clothes, but also an amount of money. Finally, they could buy food. She was heading an abandon
house, where lot’s of women with children who had lost their husbands were living in, helping each other. So they were
walking in the alley, but suddenly stop. The mother pulled her little daughter close to her, she lowered her head and continued
to walk. In front of her, a group of peasants that looked very hungry and bad was standing. Of course, when the woman
passed by their side, one of them grabbed her and tried to steal her money. She was trying to keep the money, but in her
arms she had her baby and someone had pulled her daughter. She began to panic, afraid that thosepeasants would cannibalize
her. She was struggling and when her daughter started to cried. She screamed out for help, but wasn’t hoping for anything
when suddenly, the men fell one by one. Blood was everywhere and the woman’s fear grew more and more. She was very
afraid when she had seen those peasants, but now, it was a group of soldiers in front of her. Immediately, she stood up and
tried to reach her daughter who was covering her head, afraid... But the woman didn’t get to her, one of the soldiers had
stopped her, taking the baby from her arms and giving it to one of his colleagues. The woman knew that the soldier wanted
to rape her, so she tried to struggle but the soldier was stronger than her, and soon, she was laying on the floor, still struggling.
She could hear the laughs of the others, also, some of them were getting near to her little daughter. As for her baby...She
continued to struggle, soldiers continued to get closed to the little girl. It was a typical situation, happening several times a
day in the capital. The woman started to cry, she knew what was going to happen...Suddenly from no where, a young beggar
had shown up and started to fight with the soldiers... The soldiers were laughing. The one who was trying to rape the woman
didn’t stop, while some of the others were still getting closer to her daughter... Than one of them wanted to kick the girl. But
he kicked an old man instead, very dirty, even dirtier than the beggar, with long gray grassy hair and all. All the soldiers were
looking at the man, than one of them recognized him, he was standing in the other alley from the beginning, when the
peasants attacked the woman, when they got killed by the soldiers. They wondered how he arrived here, no one had seen him.
Anyway, he wasn’t reacting, he just covered the little girl with his body...
The soldier shouted :
« You wanna die ? Well, I’ll kill you ! » and started beating the old man.
As for the beggar, his kung fu wasn’t good enough to fight against 5-6 soldiers... he was getting weaker and weaker...
and the woman was still struggling against her rapist on the floor...
