North Kanno street



This residential area is a little more busy than streets farther south: many 

schoolgoers pass through here while heading towards a school farther west and 

additionally, a subway station takes and leaves its loads of passengers on a 

regular basis.  That station is modern but the entrance has been built with the 

style of a pagoda, it's quite cute.  The homes here have a traditional feel to 

them, often made of wood and using tile roofs.  Also, ubiquitous wooden 

palissades surround most properties.

It seems an old woman here has an odd habit of splashing water in the street.

>Ukyou-kun sweatdrops a bit, and raises a hand to scratch the side of her hair, 

"I'm guessing I'm not the only depressed one 'round here."

>Within the center of the street sits a car wreckage, the heapp flickering with 

hot fire as within lie three blackened forms, each frozen in charcoaled flesh, 

pained expressions imbedded on their skulls.

>Rei walks in, on that unusual note. He stops in his tracks. He WAS depressed, 

but that scene kinda shocks you out of it   O_o

  Standing at about 5'9", the strange young man before you seems to radiate an 

aura of bad luck.  His features can be considered handsome, with slim, sharp 

eyes and an athletic build.  One may consider him human at first glance, but a 

closer one would prove otherwise.  His ears, normally hidden behind his neatly 

combed lavender hair, are slightly pointed, almost elven.  Even stranger are 

his eyes, with their unique pink irises, which at times seem to go red when the 

light hits them right.  His bangs reach out and dangle before his face, swaying 

ever so gently with the man's every movement.  Another oddity lies within the 

mysterious tattoos marking his face, the designs resembling crimson boomerangs. 

 A pair marks his forward, their apexes pointing towards each other.  Two more 

dot the outside corners of his eyes, giving him a highly foreign appearance. 

 

 At the moment, the man is clothed in a velvet cloak of dark purple, which 

nicely matches his hair.  Beneath the cloak he wears a sleek red shirt and a 

pair of baggy black slacks, both of which gives him an almost archaic look.  

Etched bands of silver encircle his wrists and ankles, further complimenting 

his foreign appearance.  Lastly, a pair of purple leather boots adorns his 

feet, the cuffs hanging loosely about his shins.  

 

 Despite his odd state of dress, this person seems to blend in with the general 

crowd, as if his very presence were obscured by some strange magic.  He moves 

about with a fluid, even inhuman grace, his strange eyes darting about to take 

in his surroundings.   With a faint smile on his lips, and a shadow nearby, he 

constantly seems to be on the move, always wary, always watchful, and always on 

the job... whatever that may be.

>Ukyou-kun dittos, O.O  "Holy... There's PEOPLE in there."

>Rei takes a step back, not having seen Ukyou yet (or Katsuo, if he's visible). 

"...!?"

>Ukyou-kun. o O ( ...were. ) and he turns round, hands on his mouth

>Katsuo glances back at the car, his expression cold now.  "... does it matter?"

>Katsuo has stopped near the sidewalk, having been on an approach towards Ukyou.

>Rei . o O ( ... What happened here? )

>Ukyou-kun pales notably, trying not to throw up... And shouts up, "of COURSE it 

MATTERS!"

>Rei hears Ukyou now, looking towards her. His constittion is a tad stronger, 

apparently, but he too is visibly shaken

>For a moment, anger flickers across Katsuo's expression.  Then, the cold mask 

returns as he speaks, his voice calm and collected.  "... really?  Then tell 

me, how does it matter to me?"  He looks at Ukyou directly, irises gleaming red 

as he reaches out a hand to gesture at the car, not even bothering to gaze at 

it.

>Rei hears the other voice now. Him again? Rei asks, not to anyone in specific, 

"Why?"

>The car door breaks off with a squeal of metal, falling to the ground.  A 

moment later, a form tumbles free, its body limp like a rag doll.  Burned 

beyond recognition, its melted, milky eyes peer out blindly, its burnt form 

scenting the air with the odor of cooked flesh.

>Ukyou-kun wasn't looking, luckily, still, the sound of it is enough to make him 

shiver...

>Rei tenses, taking another step back, away from the flaming wreckage. Anyone 

caring enough to watch will notice Rei is shaken now... he has a few bad 

memories about fires...

>Katsuo takes a step towards Ukyou, his irises glinting angrily.  "... well?  

Tell me now, how they matter.  How these mortal lives affect me, in their 

death..."  He gestuares again, causing the corpse to explode into flames.  The 

body seems to twist and tremble in agony as its muscles are seared to nothing, 

slowly revealing the white bones beneath.

>Rei clenches his teeth, muscles trembling... those who know Rei will realize 

this as a very bad sign. He repeats his prior question, but with a far 

different tone of voice, a deep, threatening tone, "Why...?"

>Katsuo pauses for a moment, then turns to face Rei, his expression a mask of 

cold indifference.  "... because it is my job... and it is all that is left for 

me..."

>Ukyou-kun exclaims, "I don't know!  But it mattered to others!" . o O ( I think 

I'm gonna throw up )  "You can't do..." but then he just _has_ to go, and runs 

off towards the bridge...

>Well, short of a shipside, I guess a bridge will do.

>Ukyou heads south along Kanno street, towards the river.

>Rei, in one fast, fluid motion, draws one of his daggers and tosses it towards 

Katsou! His aim is perfect... but it strikes the concrete - actually managing 

to pierce it. He says, with a growl, a literal growl, "I don't care WHAT your 

job is... it does NOT give you the right to kill people!"

>The dagger impacts with the air before Katsuo, revealing a field of energy as 

it crackles beneath the attack.

>Rei takes a step forward, the snarl still on his face. "Leave. NOW."

>Katsuo glares at Rei, a glint of anger appearing in his eyes.  "... I am a 

Demon 3rd Class.  It is my job to spread chaos.  Random death is a part of 

chaos." He frowns, more instances of anger showing in his expression.  "... 

because of the lies of a Goddess, and the hope that *mortals* gave me, I 

thought it could be different... but instead, it only ended in pain.  Now, I 

will return that pain, knowing full well what I am and what I always will be." 

And with that, he lets out a feral snarl, his hair flipping back as a wave of 

psychokinetic energy flares towards Rei.

>Ukyou comes in from the south, the river.

>Ukyou has arrived.

>Ukyou-kun musters a bit of will when the firemen's truck comes around, its 

lights reassuring in an odd way.

>Rei says, almost inaudibly, right before he is struck, "I thought you were 

okay..." If there's anything said after that, it's drowned out in the explosion 

that covers him, his singed form sent reeling a dozen meters down the street.

>Katsuo is standing several yards down the street from Rei, glaring at him 

angrily, not catching what Rei said. He lifts his chin, watching as Rei is 

impacted by the wave of psychokinetic energy, then turns to face the fire 

engines, silently.  "... mortals... humans... I hate them all..."

>Ushio comes from Hisashi way to the west.

>Ushio enters, with Tora perched on his shoulders.

>Ushio runs down the street, clearly looking for something, and pauses, thinking 

he may have found it.

>Katsuo is standing nearby a sidewalk, his feet upon black asphalt.  He gazes 

furiously at the approaching fire engines, a car wreckage burning in th center 

of the street.

>Ukyou-kun goes wide-mouthed when Rei is tossed... A gasp later she runs to 

wherever he'll land. "..R... no..."

>Ushio THROWS the chapstick at Katsuo. "Is this your "Business" Demon?"

>With a faint flicker of red, Katsuo's facial markings glint.  The nearby fire 

hydrant trembles for a moment... then goes still, having glowed red for a 

split-second.

>Ushio changes and screams out, "Answer me, demon! Are you doing this all over 

that?

>Rei sits up, severely burned... even so, his teeth are bared, showing his 

distinctive fangs, and his eyes glow an ominous red... "Never... you won't hurt 

me or my family EVER again."

>Rei clutches his head, and crouches down. There's a short pause, and the air 

around Rei slowly begins to fill with static electricity... Suddenly, he roars, 

stretches, and grows several times larger, into a monstrously muscled terror...

The beast which stands before you only bears a casual resemblance to the Rei 

you've seen before. Rei was tall before, but in this form, he's huge, easily 

two and a half meters in height. Body mass has increased as well, most of it 

apparently being devoted to muscle tissue. Besides the increase in size and 

mass, Rei's overall appearance has become more feral as well... his face 

resembles a great cats' more then a human's, and his hands are now closer to 

wickedly clawed paws. Most disturbing is the change is his posture... Rei 

growls, crouching with muscles tensed... you can almost feel the rage emanating 

from him...

>Katsuo turns to face the chapstick, his expression suddenly growing cold again. 

 As it nears him, he whispers a faint chant, causing the chapstick to turn red, 

then fade out.  Then, he gazes at Ushio, his features emotionless.  "... 'that' 

no longer matters... it was a minor thing, causing little chaos.  I know now 

what I am, and I will no longer hesitate in my business.  There are easier ways 

then dealing with 'humans' in such a mild manner."

>Ukyou-kun went to Rei's side, but _that_ isn't something she was expecting, not 

by a longshot, "Eeeaaaah.."  o_o;

>Ushio says, "If that's what you want."

>Feral Rei wastes no time... his mind, already weakened by Katsuo's antics the 

last two nights, has just snapped. The tiger-beast lets out an ear-piercing 

roar...

>The firemen quickly move to connect the hose to the fire hydrant.  They 

complete the task, quickly reeling out the hose and readying it to put out the 

fire.  However, moments later, the  hydrant explodes in a shower of water and 

metal shards.

>Ushio makes a powerful leap into the air, easily twenty feet up, and comes down 

swinging the spear at Katsuo.

>Katsuo suddenly looks away from Ushio, his expression cracking for a moment.  

"... it's what I *am*." Then, at the attack, he looks up at Ushio, before 

dashing to the right, leaving behind a faint aftershadow.

>Ushio lands where Katsuo was and recovers his swing into a stab.

>Ukyou-kun skeddaddles away from Rei and behind a tree... o_o;  (OOC trying to 

not think of Evas)

>Feral Rei charges at Katsuo... or at least, you see him charge only if you have 

excellent vision. Rei's open, clawed hand sweeps at Katsuo, as he closes the 

distance between where he was, and where he is now in a split second.

>Feral Rei (OOC) n.n;

>Kodachi comes in from the subway.

>Kodachi has arrived.

>Ushio asks, "Is "What You Are" just murder?"

>Katsuo quickly crouches, then leaps into the air, vaulting high as his cloak 

spreads out, forming a pair of makeshift wings.

>Ukyou-kun clenches his fist, in cover behind the tree, "Why that... Sorry 

excuse for a bakayaro, I'm gonna... uuuuh!"

>Tora launches himself into the air and flies at Katsuo, slashing with his claw.

>Death looks up. "Oh my. Him again?"

>Feral Rei narrowly misses Katsuo as he leaps into the air... bu an inch, at 

best... his strike tearing a massive crater (!?) into the pavement... a claw 

shouldn't be able to do that. Rei roars, as he looks up as the ascending Katsuo

>Wouldn't Rei and Ushio maybe be a bit close, seeing as they're both attacking 

Katsuo? ^^;

>Death moves toward Ukyou.. "Another exciting day in Japan, I see."

>Feral Rei is going after him next, if Katsuo doesn't leave quickly   n.n

>Katsuo spins through the air, dodging back as Tora's claws tear into his 

shoulder, ripping through cloth and skin.

>Ushio falls to the ground as it collaspes beneath him, skittering down into the 

crater.

>Tora says, "Che. A young one like you, against me? Stupid."

>Tora exclaims, "Oi! Ushio! Kill this idiot so I can get something to eat!"

>Ukyou-kun spies an old tin cooking pot in a nearby trashcan, he grabs it by the 

handle, fuming... Later he'll let loose some steam... when Kodachi approaches 

he growls and _despises_ her, _reaaaaally_ thinking about smacking her in the 

noogin already.

>Ushio leaps away from Rei.

>Feral Rei reaches over... grabbing a small Japanese Sedan (doing severe damage 

to the poor automobile's doors)... and literally TOSSING the whole freakin' CAR 

at Katsuo   O_o

>Ushio exclaims, "Tora! I can't fly, stupid!"

>Tora descends and picks up ushio in his arm.

>Katsuo clasps his hands together in a mock prayer, speaking a quick chant as 

his facial markings glow furiously.  His form suddenly darkens, then grows 

black as an aura of shadow expands around him, threatening to swallow all those 

near. 

>Feral Rei has apparently wandered out of a Toho flick, folks...

>Death frowns at Ukyou.. "Why do you keep giving me such hateful stares?" She 

folds her arms and frowns..

>As the car enters the dark aura, it suddenly explodes, before it falls to the 

ground in a twisted heap.  As the aura continues to expand, it sweeps across 

several lamp posts, causing them to flicker out, a few of them even toppling.

Death glances at the explosion.. o.o

>Feral Rei leaps towards the black field, giving off the inhuman roar of a 

wounded beast. This will probably turn out poorly for Rei, but he isn't 

thinking very clearly.

>Katsuo whispers, "It's a bad luck aura.  Expect to have something bad happen to 

you. ^^ Pose it yourself. n.n" to you.

>Ushio uses Tora as a launching post to reach Katsuo, but as he enters the 

shadow, he begins to change, becoming even more feral looking...he quickly 

aborts his attack and falls back, rushing out of the field as quickly as 

possible.

>Ukyou-kun closes her eyes shut at Kodachi's word, trying not to think of the 

explosion behind, -.-; . o O ( She has the gall to ask, but come ON, that 

breakup sure isn't the end of the world compared to... What's happening now )

>Ushio keeps back, panting, as his features return to the only slightly 

animalistic that he normally is while fighting.

>Tora asks, "Che. What do YOU think, brat?"

>Katsuo is suddenly thrown out of the field, impacting with the side of a 

building.  His form craters the wall, sinking into the concrete as the force of 

the blow knocks him unconscious.

>Ukyou-kun _still_ has some anger to let out though, he flips around his tree, 

and THROWS the tin cauldron smack at... Ushio?  It's tin, and it's tossed 

strong enough to leave a nice face-print in the bottom assuming it hits, then 

Ukyou goes to screaming, "You ASSHOLE!  Sorry excuse for a no-good baka 

spear-thrower!  This is all YOUR Fault!"

>Death hmphs, and presses past Ukyou.. "I stopped to talk to you only to delay 

my next task.. Not as if I wanted to share words with you.."

However... the large aura of darkness begins to take on a physical 

manifestation, forming a vaguely humanoid shape.

>Ushio exclaims, "ITE! What do you mean by that, Chef-san? I was trying to help 

you like you asked!"

>Feral Rei passes through the dark energy sphere... unharmed? No, that isn't 

right; he impacts the ground with a sickening *CRUNCH*, bouncing and rolling 

almost a block before lying in a bloody mess.

>Katsuo drops Big, Bad, and Badluck.

>Death turns again and blinks at Ukyou. o O ( Why is she so aggressive this 

week? Perhaps that thing possessed her.. )

>Ukyou-kun x.x "You IDIOT!  That Katsuo guy was NICE before YOU started to mess 

him up!"

>Death says, "Hmm.."

>Ushio says, "YOU'RE the one who made a deal with him!...." He looks over his 

shoulder at BBB and gapes.

>Katsuo seems to change slightly as he hangs from the wall, his hair washing 

over with silver.  However, he remains unconscious as the physical 

manifestation of his darkness stretches its limbs, letting out a hallow growl.

>Ukyou-kun yells, "He was HELPING me... (flails arm) NOW look what you're making 

him DO!"

>Feral Rei slowly stands up...? Burns cover 60% of his body... and his leg has 

an obvious compound fracture... but he isn't dead!? Rei takes one step 

forward... then another... giving off a final roar

>Feral Rei suddenly collapses to his knees, breathing heavily... in a few 

moments, Rei simply shrinks back to his normal stature, obviously exhausted...

>Rei falls to the ground. Unconscious, or dead, you can't tell.

>Ushio says, "Demons don't help people without a price, Chef-san."

>Death sidles up behind Ukyou.. "A suggestion?... I think we should let him do 

as he wishes. And not fight him. Merely my take ont he situation, of course. 

Oh, and certainly he may cause grave harm before he sees what he's done, but..."

>Ukyou-kun exclaims, "WHATEVER price it woulda been it wouldn'ta been as bad as 

THIS!"

>Ukyou-kun goes SD at Kodachi, "SHUT UP, I'm VENTING!"

>The dark humanoid stands, towering over the houses in the Nerima district.  

Strangely, its casts no shadow, though its aura is dark enough to darken the 

streets.

>Ushio says, "Funny. I would guess that THIS is the price."

>Death says, "How childish of you."

>Rei is DYING. I think I got it worse, thankyouverymuch.

>Katsuo (OOC) asks, "Cool!  Can we make Zombie Rei?"

>Death glances at Rei...

>Kodachi pages, "Are you really dying?" to you.

>Rei (OOC) NO   >.<

>Ukyou-kun yells, "That's the mess YOU started, Asshole!" then huffs, huffs... 

She's vented enough, now.

>You page, "Yeah... not QUITE... but if he doesn't get medical attention 

soon..." to Kodachi.

>Death knits her brow, looking at Rei.

>Ushio says, "Tora. Get the other guy somewhere safe. I'm going to see what I 

can do..."

>Tora nods and leaps forward, picking up rei and bearing him away from ground 

zero.

>Rei doesn't have much say in the matter. Just watch his leg.

>Ukyou-kun notices Death's glance, looks at Rei, goes wider-eyed... And what the 

hell, she has some anger left... *Swoosh* goes her spatula towards Kodachi's 

noggin, "DON'T even THINK about it!" x.x

>With a faint whispering noise, the darkness steps towards a nearby fire engine. 

 As it moves, it leaves behind chill black footprints, the ground crumbling 

slightly beneath its feet.

>Ushio rushes at the shadow, leaping up and slashing up and right diagonally as 

he rises.

>Death holds her arm up and takes the blow, fairly hard, to the arm, wincing at 

the contact and scowling at Ukyou. "I don't make these choices."

>Ukyou-kun found the gall to hit _death_  itaiii.

>Ukyou-kun x.x; at Kodachi "Well do something USEFUL and knock some SENSE into 

the idiot of a spearer over there!"  . o O ( I can't believe I just did this )

>Rin comes in from the subway.

>As the darkness approaches the fire engine, it reaches out a hand and passes it 

*through* the vehicle.  Moments later, the fire engine's compressed water tanks 

crack, then explode.

>Death asks, "Asking me to fight on your behalf?"

>Rei lies on the ground (since Tora hasn't gotten to him yet), burned bleeding, 

leg visibly broken, and near death

>Tora brings Rei over to the two women. "What should I do with him?"

>Rin looks around. o.o

>Ukyou-kun GRRRS at Kodachi, and she's just had it, "Try THIS!" and SDly goes to 

try and grab Kodachi to *THROW* her at Ushio . o O ( Fighting on my behalf... 

Uuuuuh! )

>Death flies at Ushio. o.o

>The darkness lets out a chill scream as Ushio's spear lances into it.  The 

sound is more of a disembodied rush of wind as a torrential blast of cold 

rushes the area.  Then, then darkness turns to face Ushio, swinging a hand at 

the attacker.

>Ushio gets hit by the shadows hand and falls to the ground. He rises quickly, 

but looks different. His pupils are even smaller than ususla, and you can 

almost be sure that only his canines were pointy before.

>Ukyou-kun finally calms down... sorta... and stares at Tora... o.o;  But then 

she notices how badly wounded _Rei_ is!

>Tora asks, "OI! I think this one's going to die soon! Do you want to do 

anything?"

>Ukyou-kun x.x "Damn right I will!"  o.o; at tora, "Whatever you are..."

>Death flew past ushio when his trajectory was changed amidfight, so she emerges 

from a bush looking rather angry at Ukyou.

>Ushio leaps back up, and does a fair impression of Climbhazzard.

>Rin looks at Rei, then at the fighting..

>Death . o O ( I'll deal with Ukyou later. )

>Ukyou-kun kneels aside Rei, damn worried, "I'm... I'm no doctor!  How should..."

>Death looks at the shadow thing, then looks around for Katsuo.

>The darkness flickers, vanishing for a moment before reappearing several yards 

down from Ushio, seemingly wary of the hunter's enchanted weapon.

>Rin asks, "Maybe I can get him to the hospital?"

>Hmm, yeah, scare the doctors   c.c

>Rin (OOC) took Zelgadis to the hospital once. o.o;

>Death strides toward Katsuo..

>Ukyou-kun x.x; "Try the vet... I'm not sure he'd make it... Damn I wish the old 

letch was 'round with his healing ink or something."

>Death . o O ( I want a word with this fellow. )

>Rin (OOC) asks, "What's wrong with Rei? o.o  Like how is he wounded?"

>Rei, if you're paying close attention, isn't breathing.

>Rei (OOC) as burns over most of his body, as well as a compound fracture in the 

leg

>Ushio presses the attack, slashing across the shadow's lower half.

>Tora leaves Rei with the noncombatants and heads back towards the fight.

>Death fixes her eyes on Katsuo.. "You. I need to speak with you, please..."

>The darkness lets out a hiss as the weapon's head bites into its side, causing 

the wound to exhale a whisper of shadowy steam.  Not to be attacked without 

fighting back, the darkness lashes out again at Ushio, with a fist.

>Rei will at least die surrounded by violence. Fitting, I guess.

>Katsuo is kind of imbedded in a wall of a building.  Strangely, there's a large 

cut in his shoulder, and a long tear has just appeared along his abdoment... 

yet, he remains unconscious.

>Ukyou-kun blanches a bit when she notices Rei not breathing, "Oh hell... This 

wasn't my idea of..." then she swallows with some difficulty, and give him 

mouth-to-mouth, there isn't MUCH else she can do.

>Rin kneels down to look at Rei, then tries to shake him! "... Don't die you 

stupid demon!"

>Rei doesn't really do anything to resists   x.x   He gets shaken

>Rin doesn't really know any medical things. o.o

>Ukyou-kun wipes at her mouth, -.-;; . o O ( I can't believe... )  o.o "Rin!  

Can you keep him alive a minute or two!?  I know what could help him!"

>Ushio shudders as the fist passes through him. He falls to one knee and HOWLS.

>Tora says, "KUSO!" and grabs Ushio, pulling him out of the battle.

>Rin exclaims, "I'll try!"

>Death looks up at Katsuo, her eyes an enigma.

>Ushio doesn't seem human at all anymore.

>Ukyou-kun RUNS down south, what the hell's she getting at?

>Rin doesn't help matters by beating on Rei's chest! "Don't die! Don't die! 

Stupid demon.  How can I get you to buy me free food if you die!"

>Ukyou-kun OOCly stays here though... Tee hee, I can't believe I'm pulling that 

old trick again. n.n

>Tora puts the now passed out Ushio down on the ground and notices something.

>Death slowly levitates up the side of the wall, her eyes on Katsuo's face.

>Katsuo appears unconscious as the wounds in his shoulder and abdomen bleed 

slowly, staining his blue cloak with its warmth.

>Tora flies towards Katsuo, trying his best to avoid the Shadow.

>Rin checks to see if Rei's still alive.

>Rei still has a pulse... a weak one... but he isn't breathing

>The darkness growls faintly, then raises a hand at Tora.  The limb shivers, 

then bursts outwards in a wave of black, streaming towards Tora.

>Rin shakes Rei again, "Start breathing!  Even demons need air!"

>Ushio tries to dodge, but is clipped on the shoulder by the shadow. He doesn't 

fall, but he has a strange sort of burnlike mark where he was touched.

>Tora reaches out to grab, without hurting, Katsuo and pull him out of the wall.

>Ukyou-kun runs back in, out of breath and his hair is untied (not to mention 

frazzled clothes)  and she holds a ... small ink bottle and a feather?

>Ukyou-kun stops by kneeling aside Rei and Rin, "*huff*  Rin... *huff* Quick... 

I gotta know the... name of someone... that Rei hates."

>Rei is a kind, friendly soul, loves everyone, and... aw, hell with it, Rin, call 

me a demon a few dozen more times   c.c

>Katsuo is pulled out of the wall, his body limp.

>Rin asks, "Me?"

>Ukyou-kun x.x; at Rin, "Yes you!  You know Rei dontcha? So tell me already, who 

does he hate?"

>Tora flies straight up, trying to keep out of reach of the shadow. Once he is a

>The darkness stops, turning to look up at Tora and Katsuo.  It narrows its 

crimson eyes... then begins to darken, its shadowy form giving off a black aura 

which slowly expands outwards, threatening to touch the crowd of people.

Kodachi's chill touch, he awakens suddenly, his crystal blue eyes snapping open.

The darkness flinches, then lets out a haunting howl of rage, before it 

shatters into a haze of shadowy mists.

>Ukyou whispers, "Well, the healing ink will heal you without many special 

effects... Sorta, I think you'll still need a sling or two for a day or three, 

(So no fighting just yet)  But later on, when you hear 'Rin', you'll have the 

URGE to glomp whoever said the word." to you.

>Ukyou whispers, "OOC You can say 'Rin' with no danger though... n.n" to you.

>Kodachi mumbles, "....  ....  .......  within  ..........  presumptions  .....

>Ukyou-kun o_o; at her handwriting and prays, "Come on... work you bloody 

healing ink..." and pikus as some of the cuts on Rei slowly close themselves, 

his leg straigtens out slowly, "...It's... working..."

>Tora lowers slowly to the ground, bearing Katsuo down with him.

>Katsuo opens his mouth as if to reply to Kodachi, then freezes as the darkness 

begins to slowly sink into him, concentrating on his form.

>Rei takes in a breath...!

>Ukyou-kun is relieved beyond words, "It worked..." then a O.o; at the 

background, "Come on, let's get Rei outta heeere."

>Rin exclaims, "De..Reihan!"

>Rin says, "Hai..."

>Kodachi mumbles, "Listen  to  me  ..  ..  ..  ..  I'll  ..  ..  ..  befriend  

you  ..  ....  ..  you  remain  this  terrible  creature  ..  Because  I  ....  

......  bleeding  somewhere  ....  ......  .." to Katsuo.

>Ukyou offers to lead you (Type 'HOPON Ukyou' to accept).

>Rin decides to follow Ukyou.

>Ukyou heads south along Kanno street, towards the river.

Riverside



The river flows gently from east to west, banked by a few meters of ground, 

grass and rocks on either side... That bank is often used when one wishes to 

relax, take a stroll or fling a few rocks when feeling down. Sloped concrete 

walls make up the difference between the river's height and the street's 

height, not sloped enough to prevent climbing however.

>Rei groans to himself. "..."

>Rin looks Rei over, blushing at how her name is written all over him. *n.n*

>Ukyou-kun says, "Toufuu's place isn't far... Hey, he's coming to, let's set him 

down a while."

>Rin nods and helps Ukyou set Rei down lightly.

>Ukyou whispers, "OOC Here are all the details: 1- That ink just won't come off, 

but it'll fade away after a few days (anything between 3 days and a month, your 

call.) While the ink remains, you will have the URGE to glomp whoever says 

'Rin'. n.n  Well, I'm saying 'Urge' but the way it's played, you just glomp the 

person on the spot." to you.

>You whisper, "^^;  Well, it's better then being dead, I guess." to Ukyou.

>Rei groans, "... damn headache..."

>Ukyou-kun o.o; "You got burnt to pieces and you're worried about your HEAD?"

>Rei suddenly sits up   o_o

>Ukyou-kun says, "Heyhey... careful there..." o.o;

>Rei asks, "Wha... what happened?"

>Rin exclaims, "You got beat up, stupid demon!"

>Ukyou-kun n.n; "That's... _by_ a stupid Demon."

>Rei blinks. "I... don't remember much."

>Ukyou-kun asks, "Well, I don't blame you..." -.-;  "Just promise me you won't 

go head-to-head against Katsuo, kay?"

>Rei blinks. "... Come again?"

>Rin reaches for Rei, trying to figure out a way to rub her name off him, 

without attracting too much attention...

>Ukyou-kun says, "You attacked Katsuo!  Or he attacked you, I dunno... Anyway, 

it's a miracle you're _alive_ o.o;"

>Ukyou-kun x.x; . o O ( And I mean it, the way Kodachi's been lookin' at him )

>Rei closes his eyes. "Last thing I recall is getting burned alive..."

>Rin exclaims, "Don't think about that!"

>Rei ponders out loud, "Why aren't I dead...?" He looks down. "..."

>Ukyou-kun n.n; "Well, miracles need a lil' help."

>Rin stops reaching for the the writing.

>Ukyou-kun looks at the small bottle of red ink in her hand . o O ( I can't 

believe I had to... *shiver* Damn letch. -.-;  At least I got the ink now )

>Rei sweatdrops, finally noticing the penmanship   . o O ( I'm not asking. )

>Ukyou-kun pockets the bottle of red ink... In the heat of the moment, she 

(conveniently) forgets to mention the side effects of that ink, "We better get 

you to the doc."

>Rin asks, "How far is it to this doctor's house?"

>Rei suddenly shivers... remembering why this started. "..."

>Ukyou-kun thumbs up. n.n; "corner of next block..."

>Ukyou-kun (OOC) And of course, I never bothered to build it, gnyah

>Ukyou leaves and you follow behind.





Hisashi bridge



The river makes a curve in this area, going northwest to southeast instead of 

east-west, The bridge here ends Hisashi way as that street curves in from 

north.  The river does not have much of a bank here, both sides of it being 

vertical concrete walls that reach street level.  Grill fences are everywhere 

to prevent someone falling in.  (Though some acrobatic people walk on those 

fences, and are hardly safe)
