Probably the first thing you notice about this young man is that he's a tiger.
Well, not exactly... though the resemblance is certainly close. The striped
pelt and tail are certainly the most telling feature, but there's also the way
he carries himself... if you watch closely, you see that every movement is
economical and deliberate. If you don't mind your men furry, he's actually
rather attractive; tall, lean, graceful, and with fine features. His unkempt
mane of yellow-ish hair (the same shade as his pelt) is tied into a pony-tail
at the base of his neck.
At the moment, Rei is covered more or less from head to toe. The main article
of clothing is the long drab trenchcoat he's wearing; it fits rather oddly on
him, but it seems to work nicely. Since he's wearing it closed, you can't tell
what he's wearing underneath; probably his usual red vest and trousers. Leather
boots (with the toes cut out for his clawed feet) and fingerless gloves
complete the ensemble.
Currently, the poor guy looks like he's been pulled through a wringer. His
hair and fur are a literal mess (what, do YOU want to comb it?), and he looks
like he's missed a few weeks of sleep. Go figure.

Ucchan's
"Welcome to Ucchan's."
This is Japan's best spot for Okonomiyaki, and you won't even have to cook it
yourself. This little restaurant is clean and decorated in modern style.
Dispersed on the walls are a series of vertical slips describing specials and
in the four corners there are wooden plaques with spirit wards. You can sit on
one of the stools surrounding the counter (which happens to double as the
grill, watch out, it's hot...) or at one of the narrow tables arranged on the
right-hand wall. It's a place where students often hang out, so the atmosphere
is usually friendly and very informal.

She doesn't work here. _She_ isn't going to be the one to get it.

>Rei blinks, and holds the phone out to you, Kurasu O_o

>Kurasu blinks at Rei, then stands up, walking over to the phone and taking it.
She holds it up to her ear. "Moshi moshi?"
>Rei takes a step back, rubbing his neck in confusion O_o
>Kurasu mutters back into the phone, then sets her hand over the mouthpiece,
looking over at Rei and shrugging.
>Kurasu restrains a grin after a moment, shaking her head a little bit. She
looks amused, at least.
>Rei boggles 'o_o' . o O ( Must be a girl thing or something... )
>Kurasu nods, hanging the phone up and walking towards the back of the
restraunt. "She needs a few things." she explains to the curious-looking cat.
>Rei blinks. "Eh?"
>Kurasu climbs the stairs.
>Kurasu's steps are heard, climbing down from upstairs.
>Kurasu comes down the stairs with a bag slung over her shoulder, heading for
the door.
>Rei watches Kurasu. "Um... need any help?"
>Kurasu pauses and looks over at Rei. "I don't think so. Sounds like she got
caught without a change of outfit. Or something like that." She shrugs. "I
won't know for sure until I get there."
>Rei blinks again. Something fishy's going on O_o; Not that he can do
anything from here. Except tail you c.c
>Kurasu isn't exactly going to say anything if he does. Whether she notices or

Uematsu way
The noise of the marketplace just south of here is slightly muffled by a row of
trees. This area seem mostly residential but properties look a little
higher-income than in other parts of Nerima. A few apartment buildings can be
found, but they are built to look like large houses instead of the expected
blocky look. Other properties are fairly extensive, their stone walls
surrounding not only a few buildings, but gardens and trees as well. One
particular unwalled property is a shrine, surrounded by a neat square of trees,
this pagoda-styled construction gives the surroundings a very traditional feel.

(Boy.. how.. stereotypical). She eyes the gate, then continues in towards the
house again.

Estate Grounds: North End
You stand facing the noble, stately manor of the Kunou family. It stands at
the center of an acre of nearly forest-like land. There are trees all around,
but none of the unsightly undergrowth one might expect in a forest. This yard
is well gardened. There are lovely vines and shubberies planted here and there
as well, often with paths among them, creating a nice two-level effect. You
like the laurels particularly. You notice one of those paths leads through a
flower garden to the majestic bath house which stands to one side of the
mansion. Another, wider path leads directly through the trees to the front
door. You could also choose to move through the trees toward the rear of the
house. Your only other option is to get out of here while you still can.

Hope this is the right one." She gives Ukyou another once-over... she isn't
_That_ used to seeing her, but hey. Even _she_ kows something isn't quite
normal here.
>Ucchan picks up the bag, seeming a little relieved, and rummages, "Oy, you
didn't forget the underwear, did you?" o.o;
>Kurasu shakes her head. "of course not. They're wrapped up in there somewhere."
She peers down at the bag. "At least, they'd better be."
>Rei . o O ( Hrmm. Don't that just beat all. Guess there isn't a problem after
all. )
Ukyou
Well, Ucchan decided for a change it seems, she's prettied herself up a tad.
She smiles, and her eyelashes seem a little more obvious than usual (A hint of
mascara?) Her makeup is fairly discreet: a tinge of rosy-pink for her lips,
and hardly a hint of eyeshade. Makeup aside, her face seems to have a slight
glow, you can't quite figure out why...
She is wearing little more than a bathrobe, nuff said.

"Why exactly were you stuck here without clothing, anyhow?"

the local idiot decided to wash my clothes."
>Kurasu nods. A shred look says she's pretty much guessing at what the *ahem*
'night out' entails. "And he left you with nothing at all."

>Rei . o O ( I have this distinct feeling I'm missing something. But it's better
then sitting around broke n.n; )
>Kurasu blinks at the look. Whoops. Did she err? "Well, I assumed..."

looking slightly smug. Gossip? Her? Nah... she isn't the sort. Really, she
isnm't.....
>Ucchan (OOC) I'm doomed... and the worst part is, only guy in this house is
Kunou.
>Rei (OOC) won't spread rumors n.n;
>Kurasu (OOC) laughs! "hey. If it helps, she won't spread it _too_ far.. she

the authority. "Better make sure that she didn't find out about your being up
there, you know." Kurasu smirks slightly. "might get... messy."

Marketplace
The commercial center of Nerima has an old-fashioned feel to it, most shops are
small and usually made with wooden walls and tile roofs. Many colorful signs
jut out in the street, filling your field of vision with colorful kanji. You
take a good whiff of the air, different enticing smells tempt you more and
more... The local restaurants have a good reputation, though they tend to cater
more to the student crowd.

you've never heard of know who you are. However... "Rei, what happened to you?"

you in WEEKS!"

Ryu
This young man's bright blue eyes study the world from beneath an
equally blue shock of short, wild hair. Perhaps seventeen or eighteen
years old, he has a strangely naive expression, although he is clad in
a travelworn red tunic and green breeches which have clearly seen
better days. Heavy leather boots bear signs that he has seen a great
deal more of the world than his eyes give away; and from the half-
breastplate and the large broadsword he carries, he looks well able to
defend himself. A lavender half-jacket, split up the sides, falls
halfway to his knees, perhaps in an attempt to add some unwarlike
accessory to his clothing. However, practicality cannot be abandoned,
and his hands and arms are wrapped, to the elbow, in thick, supportive
cloth which also prevents the leather bracers he wears from chafing his
wrists.

>Ryu lowers his head sheepishly, and mumbles something incomprehensible.
>Lina nods a greeting to Rei.
>Rei gives a casual nod to Lina, but turns his attention back to Ryu. "What've
you been up to?"

>Rei sweatdrops. "Don't that just beat all..."
>Ryu blinks after Lina, and then asks--perhaps just to change the subject--
"Rei, do we know anybody named Sana?"
>Rei hrrms, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sana? Don't think so..."

>Ryu sweatdrops. "That's what I thought. But checking couldn't hurt. What have
you been doing?"
>Rei waves dismissively. "Oh, not much, just trying to keep Ukyou's poor
restaraunt from being torn to shreds, and getting beat to pulp by demons."
>Ryu's eyes widen. "Is that why you look like Bunyan got hold of you?"
>Rei sweatdrops, big time. "Eheh... yup."
>Ryu, since he has a hard time associating Rei with the idea of a
restaurant--at least in a positive sense--asks instead, "What kind of demons?"
>Rei rubs the back of his neck, not expecting that kind of question. "Um...
demon demons, big rampaging shadowy thingies."
>Ryu admits, "I didn't think they had any of those, here."
>Rei looks back and forth. "Actually, I didn't either."
>Ryu says, ".... ..... .... I hope they didn't follow us."
>Rei looks down at the pavement. "... I don't think it was the same 'type' of
demon."
>Ryu bends so he can peer up at Rei curiously. "What do you mean?"
>A look of confusion crosses Rei's face, as if he's trying to articulate
something. "It... just... didn't seem the same, y'know?
>Ryu admits, "No. But I'm sure you know what you're talking about." He puts his
hands on his knees to push himself upright.
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "Well... um... it's probably not that important
then. Monsters are monsters everywhere, I guess."
>Ryu nods after a moment. "I guess so. Only, there aren't many monsters here,
period. It's been getting kind of hard to eat."
>Rei nods. "Mmm-hmm. I've even had to... um... get a job..." Sweatdrop. MUST be
hard times c.c
>Ryu STARES. "Where?"
>Rei points to the west. "At this little herb shop... it isn't too much, really,
but at least I don't have to steal food..."
>Ryu smiles a little. "You don't think they'd hire somebody else, do you? I was
looking for work, but nobody seemed to have any."
>Rei rubs the back of his neck, thinking that over. "Dunno... I only got the job
because the owner's daughter has a crush on me." 'o.o'
>Ryu blinks, and smothers a laugh.
>Rei peers at Ryu. "What's so funny?"
>Ryu manages to pull a straight face. Well, mostly. "N-nothing. Really. I'll
just... just keep looking, then."
>Rei nods to Ryu. "Well, I have a LITTLE extra money... if you want a 'yaki or
something."
>Ryu shakes his head quickly. "It's okay. I can go back into the mountains and
check my snares."
>Rei smiles at Ryu. "You sure?"
>Ryu nods. "I'm sure." He glances down sheepishly as his stomach rumbles, and
then raises his eyes again. "Well.. maybe just one."
>Rei smiles. "That's the spirit! Just like old times, 'cept we don't even got to
cook it ourselves!"
>Ryu grins briefly; but then his smile fades. "Except we're not all together."

aside, sipping her tea with a sated look.

>Ryu, with another forced (though more easily forced) smile, asks, "What's
good, Rei?"
>Rei hmms. "Well, I always get a beef and noodle 'yaki, myself..."

>Rei blinks. "Oh... um... well, it's actually been pretty quiet. Except for that
stupid demon a few weeks ago."
>Ryu shakes his head. "That's not really what I meant. After we got
separated--back when I thought you were killed."
>Rei goes deathly silent at that. "..."
>Ryu winces. "I'm sorry. Nevermind," he hastens.
>Rei holds his hand up defensively. "No! No, nothing you did, really..."
>Ryu says, "I guess I shouldn't ask. I don't like thinking about then, either,
so..."
>Rei rubs the back of his neck, staying quiet for several minutes. "... I killed
them."
>Ryu surprises himself by nodding fiercely, and blurting, "Good! ... ... I... I
mean..."
>Rei blinks, and stares at Ryu. "...!?"
>Ryu shakes his head sheepishly. "Teepo never did anything to them," he offers,
as though that explains everything.
>Rei leans forward, slowly, resting his head in his hands. "..."
>Turns out, however, that it's kind of like Krypton. Nobody was supposed to
survive when the planet blew up, but in the end it was really just a small
kitchen fire nextdoor to Kal-El's house. o.O;

Belldandy
Catching your eye is young woman who looks to be in her early twenties. She is
of average height, though seemingly taller than most other women of her age.
She has long, light brown hair that springs from her head in all directions and
is very neatly groomed. On her forehead is a small blue mark shaped like an
oblong diamond, and under the outside corner of her blue eyes are small blue
triangles. As she notices your gaze, a faint blush comes to her cheeks and she
smiles kindly to you. She is wearing a light white dress. It barely covers her
shoulders and goes down to her knees. It is embroidered with a blue ribbon, and
circles around her shoulders, ending at her chest with a tied bow. She wears
fingerless gloves made of a purple fabric, and encircled at the wrists by two
silver bracelets. She is also wearing a pair of sandals.
Carrying:

>Bell-chan smiles
>Ryu can't help but stare at Belldandy, just a bit. She's... well... beautiful.
>Rei doesn't have enough self-esteem to look at the pretty goddess lady. He's
too busy sulking to himself. Could be worse, I guess, he could be angry.
>Ushio sips at his tea, listening.
>Bell-chan doesn't seem to mind being stared at.. (if she's noticed such.. you
never know)
>Tenchi walks in from outside.
>Rei looks up after another long, akward pause, to glance at Ryu, and follow his
gaze to Bell-sama . o O ( Looks familiar... )

>Burn shrugs slightly, "Don't ask why cause I have no idea why."
>Bell-chan says, "I think it's great that you are in such a good mood" She smiles
>Ryu wolfs down the rest of his dinner, and hops off the stool. "I think I'm
going to walk for a while."
>Burn nods.
>Rei hmms, looking over at Ryu. "Don't get lost."
>Ryu sweatdrops, turns crimson, and nods mutely.
>Rei speaks up. "Hey, Ryu?"
>Ryu steals a last quick glance at Belldandy as he snags his sword from the rack
by the door. o O ( I still need to find a jo-- ) "...Huh?"
>Rei thumbs over his shoulder, out the door. "I'm staying in the park, if you
need to find me..."
>Burn asks, "So where's Skuld?"
>Ryu smiles, his expression warming. "All right. I'll see you around."
>Ryu exits the restaurant, a little bell jingles.
>Rei stands up, pushing the stool away from the counter. "Pardon me..." He makes
his way towards the door.
