>Prophet walks in silently, the only noise he makes being the ruffle of his

cloak in the heavy wind. He turns for the church, but then stops in his tracks.

>Es-chan is currently sitting on a mailbox along the street..legs crossed as her

hands are settled on the seat beneath her.. she smiles to Magus..as if waiting

for him, "OOh..there you are deary..I was waiting." ^_^

>Prophet extends his arm to the side, throwing the cloak over his shoulders. He

reaches up, and pulls back the hood, revealing him for who he truly is. Those

knowledgeable in such things will instantly recognize him as Magus.

>Magus asks, "Observing your handiwork, I imagine?"

>Es-chan giggles, "Poooossibly. So deary... I remember you whispering to me

something about a ..challenge..hrmm?"

>Magus raises an eyebrow. "These people are under my jurisdiction now. Surrender

them, and leave unharmed. Or..."

>Magus . o O ( She doesn't care about those mortals, but with luck, she'll try

something... )

>Es-chan answers, "And what gives you the right to claim something of MINE

deary?"

>Magus narrows his eyes. "Because I am the Magus, reptile."

>Es-chan smiles, "Awefully presumptious of you deary..and inefficient. Directly

confronting me is a waste of your time." she comments

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Then release your minions into my care, and

bypass this little diversion."

>Es-chan giggles loudly..placing a hand over her lips, "Oooh... trying to be

INTIMIDATING are you deary? And should I refuse? I could simply order them to

attack you on sight."

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "A waste of perfectly good minions."

>Es-chan answers, "Minions that won't be yours deary. And of course after you

battle them..I will pounce on your weakened form and destroy you utterly for

invading my property. A losing proposition for you. You gain nothing..or

death. What is your choice?"

>Magus asks, "Perhaps I will simply remove the last one from your service

myself?"

>Es-chan comments, "She will die the moment you try. You gain nothing for your

efforts. Hardly good business on your part deary. Openly defying me is

foolish. You should return to skulking behind my back like the rat you are

deary..your far far better at it." she smiles, "And I approved of it as well."

>Magus scowls. "I have learned much about you - such as how you feed off fear.

You shall get none from me, reptile."

>Es-chan giggles, "You have nothing to fear from me deary. Infact..I approve of

your ambitions." she answers

>Magus raises an eyebrow. "So you will simply hand the planet over to me on a

platter?"

>Es-chan comments, "I'm only interested in humanity deary. You can have the

planet. Once I have made the proper..alterations it can be all yours." she

answers truthfully.

>Magus hmms quietly. "What 'alterations' do you have in mind?"

>Es-chan answers, "I just wish to get rid of the blight of humanity.. if not

stomp them all out and allow beings such as you to take over..then turn them

into something more..palletable. But if you wish to rule deary..you may do so

with my blessing. I have no such ambitions."

>Es-chan continues, "Lyrae and Kim are simply tools to that end. If you use

them..or if I use them..it doesn't matter. So long as humanity is erradicated

and replaced with something better."

>Magus rubs his chin with a gloved hand. "Then why are you using such a

roundabout method? If you simply wished to eliminate humanity, it should be a

simple task to do so directly."

>Es-chan answers, "Are you a fool? I do NOT underestimate humans. I have no

doubt if they knew my ambitions they would rise against me. So..I strike where

they are weakest..their 'so called innocent'. And let their soft white

underbelly rot out from under them. Let their own codes of 'humanity' work

against them, like the twisted viral plague it is."

>Magus . o O ( A true miscreant. I shall never re-create the kingdom of magic

with her present, even without a Lavos entity to interfere... )

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "So, the mighty Esmerelda does fear something

after all."

>Es-chan says, "We all fear deary. Only the foolish do not admit it." she tilts

her head back, "And re-creating a Kingdom of Magic deary? How noble of you..a

worthy proposition..one that hardly hinges on Humanity. And I'm sure your

'Lavos Entity' won't interfere either."

>Magus raises an eyebrow. "Yes, but this world is inherently human. Without

humans, there will be no one left to populate my kingdom - humans become

Mystics, not the reverse."

>Es-chan giggles, "Hardly deary. Who says Mystics NEED to be human? Why not

Elfin? Why not another species all together. You can still have your Kingdom

deary..with my blessing. I just wish you to have a kingdom of beings just like

you." she smiles, "If you can promise that..I shall be more than happy to

assist."

>Magus narrows his eyes. "And you seek to attempt to bind me to an agreement,

even after I have observed how your plans work? Feh."

>Es-chan smiles, "What do you have to fear..if you know how my plans work? I am

transparent am I not? You have found me out...certainly I was no match for

your deductive reasoning deary. And besides... you have nothing to lose ..ne?"

>Magus . o O ( Swithing to flattery already? Feh. )

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Very well. If you seek an actual agreement,

release the second minion in that cemetary. Then I might consider it."

>Es-chan answers, "Of course. But I must have a suitable payment for it.

Afterall, a bargain..IS a bargain."

>Magus . o O ( More plots... )

>Magus asks, "Which would be?"

>Magus stands several feet away from the lady, deep in 'discussion'

>Es-chan comments, "What do you believe is worth 40 years of servatude deary?"

>Magus turns on his heels, causing his cloak to billow in the wind. "I see

negotiating with you is useless. I am going to see my clients. Stop me if you

wish."

>Es-chan smiles, "As you wish"

>Magus walks towards the cemetary, hearing Es-chan's words, but paying them no

heed.

>Es-chan simply smiles. And waits

You push the old iron bars open, stepping into the cemetary.

Odin Street Cemetary

As you step quietly into the cemetary, you feel a cold..though not unpleasant,

breeze pass by you, as if the spirits of the dead were walking past. The sun's

light surrounds the large area, with short blades of grass covering the dirt.

Slightly behind you, standing proudly in spite of its condition, is the Odin

Street church. You notice a large hole in the roof of it, giving access to and

from the cemetary if you're not entering from the street. A narrow grey

pathway navigates the area around the tombstones and markers indicating various

places where the dead are laid to rest, most with a loving note from family and

friends. Fresh flowers are laid upon each grave, while several trees outline

the area. Despite the peaceful seeming nature of the cemetary, you get the

distinct feeling that you're trespassing.. and that you should leave. Quickly.

[Players : Kim, and Lyrae ]

[Things : None ]

>Lyrae is currently on her hands and knees, peering into an open grave. o O (

The poor soul.. )

>Magus walks in like some sort of dark avatar, a faint hint of a snarl on his

face

>Kim blinks! her eyes suddenly opening wide as her opal choker begins to blink

with a blue light, her eyes soon matching the light on her neck.

>Magus . o O ( I see her trick. Very well. )

>Kim turns her head slowly towards the gate, her eyes locking on Magus.

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Hear me well, Esmerelda, you will not win that

easily."

>Lyrae is rather oblivious to Magus' entrance, until he speaks. She lifts her

head and glances towards Magus, getting to her feet.

>Lyrae glances towards Kim, ..blinking as she sees the glow o O ( ? )

>Lyrae asks, "Kim?"

>Magus . o O ( Curses... I was going to bring her to my citadel befre she did

this, but she acted too fast... )

>Kim stands up, her expression in a daze.

>Lyrae walks towards Kim slowly, "Kim..?"

>Kim narrows her eyes towards Magus, raising her hands in front of herself.

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Do not bother. She is under another's control."

>Lyrae stops short, glancing at Magus, "Anot..Esmerelda.." She looks back to

Kim, "Kim snap out of it! Don't let her control you!"

>Kim's hands become transparent, themselves turning to liquid and morphing in a

pair of large wet pincers.

>Lyrae shouts, "Kim!!"

>Magus . o O ( Might as well take precautions now... )

>Kim's eyes flicker like a disco ball with blue light as her attention refuses

to deter from Magus.

>Magus chants slowly in a strange tongue, his eyes glowing with red fire. he

extends his hand to his side, and the air around Magus shimmers momentarily.

>Lyrae stares silently at her friend, her expression faltering slightly. o O (

Kim... )

>Lyrae blinks at the chanting, glancing sharply towardsMagus, "What are you..?"

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Esmerelda is afraid of my interference. I

recommend you take cover while I subdue your comrade."

>Lyrae shouts, "Subdue?? You can't hurt her! I won't let you!"

>Lyrae reaches out to place a hand on Kim's arm, "Kim? Come on Kim.. please wake

up.. don't let her do this.."

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Then bring it up with Esmerelda."

>Kim speaks, her voice deeper than normal, more frightening, "I will destroy

you, Magus..."

>Lyrae quietly says, "K..Kim.." She bites her lip and steps in front of her,

"Kim Look at me!"

>Magus stands in place, cloak billowing in the heavy wind, arms crossed.

>Lyrae . o O ( I don't believe this is happening.. )

>Kim stares right past Lyrae, the look of intense hatred remaining on her face.

>Magus exclaims, "THIS is the type of individual Esmerelda is. Throwing away a

person to deal with a threat. Learn!"

>Lyrae shakes her head, taking a step back at the look of hatred.. not directed

at HER, but frightened nonetheless, "There has to be a way to get THROUGH to

her without hurting her!"

>Esmerelda Arrives on the grounds through the old iron gate.

>Esmerelda arrives, with Janus following behind.

>Magus looks at Esmerelda as she enters (even if she's hidden... )

>Es-chan walks in...but watches carefully. Not saying a word or making a noise

yet..hushing Janus to stay the same

>Janus walks in slowly beside Esmerelda as well, as he of course does not make a

noise either. Not that he would want to anyways.

>Kim's liquified pincers, now replacing her hands, snap open closed as she

stands in front of Magus with Lyrae between them. She doesn't move, looking at

the man with an expression of complete hatred as he eyes flash with blue light.

>Es-chan is simply watching in the corner..smiling particularly at Magus. ^_^

Janus by her side

>Magus looks at Esmerelda again. "Apparently you only kno how to use such crude

tactics. Very well..."

>Es-chan just smiles at Magus in the 'don't say I didn't warn you deary' look ^_^

>Lyrae quietly says, "Kim.. please.."

>Kim speaks, her voice directed to Lyrae, "Move."

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "I would recommend you follow her directions.

She's under Esmerelda's direct control now."

>Lyrae shouts, "I can't let you do this Kim.. you said yourself you didn't want

to hurt anyone else!"

>Kim says, "I want to hurt him...."

>Lyrae glances at Magus, "I have to try.." She looks back to Kim, "No you

-don't-.. Esmerelda wants you to hurt him. Don't listen to her!"

>Janus remains by Esmerelda's side, as he keeps his head dipped slightly

forward. He doesn't look, careful not to stare at anyone there. Although, he

carries a silver platter.... with ten childrens heads upon it, just as

Esmerelda asked for.

>Magus turns to look at Janus, then at Esmerelda . o O ( Intolerable. )

>Lyrae doesn't notice, ..or doesn't acknowledge Es or Janus entering.

( A few drops from the liquid pincers fall to the ground. )

>Kim says, "He will die by my hand...."

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "If you say so. Come, attack first, if you're so

eager."

>Lyrae steps closer to Kim, reaching to put her hands on Kim's shoulder, "Kim,

No. Listen to me!"

>Es-chan looks to Janus absently, "So deary... want to watch the rest of

this..or shall I break it up so you can get along with your business..hrmm?"

smiling ^_^

>Lyrae quietly says, "No more! Don't let her do this. Please Kim.. you're

stronger than that.."

>Magus . o O ( Is everyone around foolish enough to actually listen to her

besides me? )

>Kim's eyes dart to look at Lyrae. Her stance solid and unmoving as she stares

at her with that same angry, hating expression.

>Janus _looks_ at Esmerelda with his icy cold eyes, as he says simply, "Lets

just get this over with. And, remember... After this, I don't want to even

hear of you ever again."

>Lyrae swallows at the angry hating expression and tenses uneasily. "Kim..

you're my best friend.. please don't do this.. I can't let you do this to

yourself.."

>( A few more drops of water fall off of the pincers. )

>Lyrae quietly says, "Please Kim.."

>Es-chan continues watching..very carefully.

>Magus turns to Janus again, taking his eyes off Kim for a moment. "You, of

course, know she isn't finished with you even if you follow her directions."

>Janus _glares_ at Esmerelda for a few more moments, and then he steps forward

himself, "I don't know about you, but I'm going to get our buisness over with."

>Kim's brow raises slightly as her expression begins to break up, her pincers as

well, losing drops at a regular pace now.

>Es-chan snatches Janus's shoulder..and pulls him back, "No deary. Wait..and

watch. Or you get nothing."

>Janus snaps a glare at Esmerelda as he stops, "Esmerelda. This is _not_ part

of the deal."

>Lyrae stays right in front of Kim, and moves to pull her into a hug, "Kim..

please fight it.."

>Magus . o O ( Foolish human. Feh. )

>Es-chan answers Janus, "Wouldn't you rather see what Kim does..now hush. This

is interesting..above and beyond our deal.. so watch closely deary."

>Kim just stands there, not hugging back, remaining unmoving as her face changes

to a neutral expression instead of one of hate and anger. Her eyes still flash

as the pincers quickly lose their solidity, deforming and weakening.

>Magus turns to Esmerelda. "Are you actually going to have her attack, or to you

just plan on tormenting those two?"

>Lyrae hugs Kim tightly, refusing to budge, praying silently.

>Es-chan watches..carefully watches Kim..ignoring all else at the moment..smiling

>Janus narrows his eyes upon Esmerelda, "I would say otherwise, bitch..." . o O

( She is almost as bad as father, damn it..... No, father was even worse than

she was.... Far worse. )

>Magus crosses his arms. "What an amusing show."

>Kim swallows, her eyes opening wide, flashing brilliantly blue, matching the

light of her choker, which suddenly, ceases it strobe light flashing, going

completely solid with a sudden burst of power through Kim as she attempts to

repress the urge to fight. Her energy loops back on itselfs, totally throwing

her body through a loop, liquifying all of it, and sending her crashing to the

ground as a puddle, leaving only her wet clothes laying in a pile.

>Magus narrows his eyes

>Lyrae SQUEAKS in alarm, "Kim?!!" o O ( She melted!! X.x )

>Es-chan giggles and claps at the specticle ^_^ Quite amused as she releases

Janus to do as he will now

>Magus . o O ( She is obviously planning something. Simply destroying the minion

does follow her motives, but she is annoyed at my impudence... )

>Magus looks at Esmerelda now. "Finished?"

>Janus frowns, and turns his head over to Esmerelda, as he asks, "Where did she

go....?"

>Es-chan giggles, "What does it look like deary..OOH! And your brother came to

set Kim free as well.." gestures to Janus, "Show your beloved sister Kim's

presents deary.."

>Magus scoffs, and narrows his eyes, chanting something under his breath

>Lyrae stares at the puddle in shock.. then blinks a few times as she finally

acknowledges the other two, sparing them a glance. o O ( Presents? ) Her eyes

widen o O ( Oh god.. )

>Janus frowns, as he narrows his eyes at Esmerelda. "Haven't you made her hate

me enough? Fine. At least it will be over with." he then turns around, and

walks towards his sister after, holding that silver platter, with the ten child

heads upon it. "....Lyrae." . o O ( Damn you, Esmerelda.....Damn you to hell. )

>Lyrae quietly says, "GYGAAHA!!!!!!!!!" She scrambles back, snapping her head

away and covering her face, shuddering.

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "How clever, you planned this from the beginning,

didn't you? I AM impressed. *veni lexias, domnium corpus*"

>Es-chan giggles to Lyrae, "Wonderful to be alive isn't it deary? Now whom is

the monster deary? Your beloved human brother...or me. You decide." as janus

holds the absolutely SICKENINGLY horrific platter before you.

>Es-chan smiles to Magus, "Possibly deary."

>Magus extends his hands to his side, continuing his chant...

>Lyrae does NOT look.. keeping her face covered. "........"

>Janus frowns as he says simply, "Kim is now free." . o O ( We both are the

monster, Esmerelda. We both are. ) he then turns around after, as he then

says, "Allright, Esmerelda. Free Kim. A deal is a deal."

>A clear hand emerges out of the puddle, which has all this time remained

condensed to that one area where it fell.

>Es-chan answers Janus, "You fool. She freed herself."

>Lyrae muffles her words, smothering her sobs.

>Es-chan simply turns away as she begins to walk to the exit, "And Magus..I

wouldn't do that. The spell will never strike."

>Magus slows his chanting, extending his hands to the side. "So you say. *lex

lex facis, manus fatus*"

>Janus's eyes blink at Esmerelda, as he then TOSSES the silver platter at her as

hard as he can, "YOU DAMN FUCKING WHORE! YOU MADE ME DO THIS WHOLE THING FOR

NOTHING, YOU BITCH! IF I COULD RIGHT NOW, I'D KICK YOUR ASS DOWN TO THE HELL

WHERE YOU BELONG!"

>The clear hand uses the ground as support as another comes out as well, pushing

off of the grass, raising the arms and the head out of the puddle. The face is

expressionless, but certainly Kim's as she climbs totally out of the puddle,

still made of water.

>Es-chan doesn't even regard the platter as it splatters its disgusting load on

the ground near her.. as she simply continues walking off. Her job done here.

Lyrae winces at the sound of her brotherr's enraged yell, curling into a ball.

>Esmerelda goes out to the street, passing through the large iron gates.

>Esmerelda has left.

the organ in his fist.

a quarter of the city block from existance!

>Simon Eclair waits, I'm a mass of body parts sewn together and re-animated

through electricity....would this affect me? [OOC]

>Magus closes his fist, the tear shutting instantly as Esmerelda disappears from

sight. . o O ( She's still alive... but where...? )

>Es-chan is no where to be seen. And you can't feel her power... which she

>Simon Eclair flies behind Magus, still clutching his prize, grinning

satanically. "Why...you didn't have to do THAT, my fellow fleshie."

Simon

From out of nowhere you hear an insane cackle of glee, human in voice. As

you turn to meet the owner of the laugh, your eyes are greeted with the

presence of Simon Heyrich-reknowned Coroner and Necromancer of Robotropolis.

His figure is slender yet rugged, like that of a human, although Simon can

not be this; the skin is a pale green and he lacks ears. His temple is swell-

ed and disproportional, like his brain is trying to burst out of it's bony

prison. Simon's hair -what few of it remains- is long and white, giving

hint of his old age despite the way Simon dances in merriment. His face is

bald and hideous, the nose is longer than Snively's, turned upwards while

his eyes are covered with overly-tight opaque white goggles. Simon's body

is covered with the stereotypical scientist's garb; grey pants, sandals,

blue dress shirt and long white lab coat, topped off with a red tie.

Although in no way not the least bit scary, perhaps it's the blood staining

his lab coat or the look of sheer insanity on his face that warns you to keep

away from this person.

>Simon Eclair tosses the organ into the air, catching it. "Why, she seems to be

a rather nice fellow, actually. Heeheehee..." Pointing at Magus, Simon replies

with, "Maaaaybe, but I would be more concerned WHY you did it, as a coroner's

main job is to find the cause of death, not the effect, since you know..."

>Simon Eclair tilts his head to the side, grinning. "They're already dead.

Heeheehee..."

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "I sent her to the netherworld. A temporary fix,

at best, but sufficient for my purposes."

>Magus turns back to Janus and Kim. "And the girl?"

>Kim turns away from the others, her body still made of water, walking away from

them slowly.

>Janus frowns for a moment, and thinks to himself after. . o O ( Good.

Although, just in case..... I'll make sure the plan to get rid of Esmerelda is

still in effect. ) He then looks over towards Magus after, as he says, "She

will be fine. I just need to explain a few more things to her, and she will be

fine." . o O ( And, to explain.... That Derek is not dead to the others. )

>Magus hmmphs. "Very well."

You make your way towards the roof of the church.

Odin Street Church: Roof

Standing upon the roof of the building you can see for a fairly good distance.

This is one of the tallest buildings in the immediate area after all. A large

hole is in the ceiling here, with a fallen wooden beam extending out of it,

leading inside. Down below you can see the adjoining cemetary, and it seems

there's a path down to it along the side of the building.

>Lyrae asks, "Meaning..?"

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Meaning none of you have to concern yourselves

with her any further. She will be.. absent for a while."

>Lyrae asks, "What did you do?"

>Magus looks down on Kim, his form oddly menacing. "I simply removed her."

>Lyrae frowns, "Removed?"

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "From this plane of existence. It is a temporary

fix, but sufficient."

>Lyrae asks, "..How..How long?"

>Magus turns to head down to the ground once more. "I am uncertain, but you are

free, for now." . o O ( If you can get over your petty concerns... )

>Lyrae asks, "And Kim?"

>Magus says, in a deep voice, "She will be fine, no thanks to that reptile."

breeze pass by you, as if the spirits of the dead were walking past. The sun's

light surrounds the large area, with short blades of grass covering the dirt.

Quickly.

>Magus leaps down from the roof, landing on his feet.

>Magus . o O ( The damage is done, however. Their psyches are broken... I doubt

they would serve me even as pawns... )

>Kim is standing at the gate, still in water form, staring out at the road.

>Magus walks towards the gate himself, mentioning as he passes. "When Esmerelda

makes her return, I do hope you will avoid her traps?"

>Kim doesn't acknowledge Magus, still staring out at the road.

>Magus steps up behind Kim, waiting for her to notice him and move out of the

way.

>Kim doesn't seem like she's going to.

>Magus looks down on the elemental. "Would you step aside?"

>Janus leans against the wall after, as he dips his head slightly forward. He

then pulls out a small cell phone from his cloak after, and flips it open.

Afterwards, he dials a number and brings it up to his head. He pauses for a

few moments, and then finally speaks into it, "It worked. Esmerelda fell for

the tricks, and now she is supposivly within the netherworld, according to a

source." he pauses afterwards, and says, "Yes." and another pause after.

>Magus turns his eyes towards, Janus, but doesn't comment. Looking bad at Kim,

he scoffs, and walks to the side, towards the wall, and simply leaps over it to

the street

Odin Avenue [500]

Some of the homes here, unlinke those to the west, appear to have been erected

in rather recent years. Though larger than their elder counterparts, and

containing more modern accomidations, they are no less stylish and do not

detract from the appearance of their neighbours. The contrast might even be

considered healthy. Immediately to the east, a turn north and south and

estates with large mansions bordering it on the eastern edge of the walk mark

the end of Odin Avenue. Also, to your south here, through some wrought iron

gating..is quite oviously a cemetary. It isn't spooky as you think one should

be..far from it..it seems a peaceful, sunny area to be laid to rest.

>Magus steps back. He takes a moment to survey the surroundings, then chants - a

second later a dark portal opens behind the wizard, and he simply steps back

into it, with both him and the portal disappearing after.
