City Square: Fountain

Nearer to the fountain still, the sound of the softly cascading water overcomes

most any other noise besides the people sitting and chatting. There is a

wrought iron barricade about the actual fountain, though it seems to be more

placed to deter than to prevent climbing in, as anyone of moderate hieght could

easily scale it. The statue of Odin atop the large fountain dwarfs most

everything else in the area..as well the seven trees planted in a circle about

the fountain.

There are benches here as well, though of a marble variety rather than the

wooden ones found farther out in the city square. There also seems to be less

foot traffic here, apparently because of the lack of commerce. All in all, a

serene place to enjoy the evening and perhaps meet with friends for a night on

the town.

>Prophet stands silently on the fringes of the area. Wait, where'd he come from?

>Destiny murmurrs a quiet, "I don't know," before she resumes backing away,

willing herself to again slink into the background as she usually does.

>17 shrugs, uncertain at the moment just where the question came from, although

after a moment his sidelong glance down at Metal serves to indicate

acknowledgement. He stays where he is, vigilantly seated atop his watchtower,

Odin's helmet.

>Metal crosses his arms. Both hands are bare, showing off his razor tipped

talon-fingers. "Looks weird." He takes a minute to snicker a bit, then adds,

"He almost seems to freak you out more than me."

>Ice-Demon swings his tail around... slapping the wet tip against the side of

the fountain like some sort of large, wet fish. He then comfortably lets it

rest along the edge. He glances over at Magus with a toothy grin... then looks

at Metal, "Call me Ice..."

>Prophet . o O ( Hmm... fascinating, an outward change as well... )

Gunter

Looming before you stands the wicked figure of Ice Demon. His very presence

sends chills down your spine as if you were hooked and hung in a meat freezer.

At a full 6'7", Ice is 'quite' intimidating even if he does retains his

angelic, beautiful appearance. The air is frosty around him... puffs of icey

mist circling and wafting around his icey body. His young face is elven in

appearance... smooth and slender and well defined. His eyes glaze over with a

pearl color in the light, but catching them just right, you can see his icey

blue iris glowing. Under his left eye is a white, fang shaped marking of some

alien origin. His long elven-like ears stick out from the sides of his head,

adorned with many silver rings and chains. His hair is now short and shaggy;

sticking out sharply all aound his head and framing his face. Curliung from the

back of his head and around his ears are a pair of beautiful, obsidian horns;

polished to perfection.

Hugging Ice's much larger, stronger chest is a tight, rubbery shirt of some

sorts... accenting his muscles like some sort of hard, outer shell. The shirt

ends right above his tight belly... showing off his cute 6-pak and a shining

silver naval ring. His arms are long and slender, tight with hidden muscles and

showing off his soothing, light blue flesh. A black, metal bracelet is linked

around one arm while the other has a large black leather bracer adorned with

zippers and buckles; both of his hands fleshy, sharp talons.

Squeezing Ice's rather curvey hips is a large black leather belt and silver

buckle... holding onto a pair of tight, black leather pants. His pants are a

vivid creation from his wild imagination and punky sense of taste; made up of

several pieces and a wide variety of silver buttons, zippers, buckles, belts,

and pockets. Starting at his knees, a pair of calf hugging boots, with the same

wild pattern of buckles and belts, mold to his legs and feet... the combat

boots cut off about mid-way on his feet to let two large, long, ferociously

looking fleshy talons out. He's deadly but beautiful appearance has you

captivated until you see an object swing from behind him... and you are

startled to watch a heavy, thick, 7 foot long spaded tail swing out from behind

him. The appendage has its fair share of ribbons, leather straps and buckles

along it... as well as two silver rings piercing its spaded tip. This form is

definately a very agile, fast, powerful form... and that tail looks as if to

constrict the life

>Metal snurks again, looking away. "Ice, Metal, a number, and a nameless. Boy,

what a crew." He rolls his eyes back towards Destiny, arms still crossed.

>Destiny gives Metal a visible scowl.

>Ice-Demon scratches his talons at the ground a bit... then yawns softly,

"Anything interesssting happen tonight?"

>Prophet says, in a deep voice, "Not tonight, no... but earlier this week,

perhaps..."

>Ice-Demon looks over at Magus and nods quietly, "I sssee... sso boring it hass

been lately."

>Destiny watches Ice-Demon. Or maybe it's more of a stare. She can't believe

this massive thing just walked into the fountain area, and sat on the newly

frozen water.

>Prophet . o O ( I wonder if Esmerelda's lackey here is aware of her current

condition...? )

>Metal suddenly takes off at blinding speed, tears around the fountain and the

area a few times, before coming to a stop behind 'Ice' He digs at the newly

formed frozen water with his toe. he peers at Ice and asks with scrutiny, "Did

you do this?"

>Ice-Demon practically snatches up Magus's thought and replies. . o O ( This is

normal conversation, I've found, in this form. I'm a little used to it... but

not completely, anyways. Yes... I do. )

>17 answers for the demon, agitation evident in his tone. "Yep. He did."

>Prophet scoffs, slightly. "I certainly did not." He smirks, though it might not

be obvious.

>Ice-Demon slowly looks over his shoulder and tilts his head to the side... "Me?

Why ever would you think that?" He grins widely and sways his tail around a

bit.

>Metal, in the next second, after another blinding speed burst, is balencing

himself on Odins knees. "You let him?" He asks 17.

>17 shrugs. "It's not really hurting anything. It's just water."

>17 says, "If he breaks anything..." He makes a gun out of his left hand and

points, giving it a twitch to represent recoil.

>Metal grins at 17 widely. He leaps off Odin's knees, turning a flip gracefully

in the air and landing neatly on his feet. He peers over his shoulder at Ice.

"Neat power."

>Prophet says, in a deep voice, "I've seen better."

>Destiny begins studying the 'ice chair', scanning for weak points in the ice

that could send the demon splashing into the water beneath. All the while, an

interesting, sly little grin has emerged on her face.

>Metal notes the sly grin on the girls face, but pretends not to notice,

positioning himself to the side a bit, out of the way.

>Ice-Demon hmphs... smirking at Metal as he dips his tail back down to the

fountain; the water becoming liqued again as his long appendage rests in the

cool water, "You shoulda seen what I did the other night... I'm only giving

myself somewhere to sit... but..." He stands up.. letting the rest of the ice

melt, "... if everyone has nothing better to do but look at me, I suppose I

should be off."

>Prophet . o O ( Obviously, the peon does not. )

>17 has let his mind wander, and indulges in a few rounds of 'target practice'

with imaginary opponents in the trees.

>Destiny's grin leaves as Ice stands. There went her chance to have some

long-needed fun.

>Prophet says, in a deep voice, "Oh, I can do much more then look... if you're

interested in a little chat..."

>Ice-Demon quietly pads from the fountain...

>Gunter walks back to the city square.

>Gunter has left.

You walk back to the Midgaard Square.

City Square

Welcome to the middle of the sleepy (yeah, right), humble mountain city of

Midgaard. The peaks that surround the somewhat smallish sprawl of

constructions about you appear a vibrant, cool purple at this distance..capped

with off-white snow at the tops. Although the town itself recieves little

precipitation from being sheltered by this atol of sheer rock, a cold wind does

comb and filter its way through..providing a brisk, though arid, atmosphere.

On the southwestern pointing end of town, a small, manmade pass in the

mountain valley allows for easy access from the bustling world outside. To

your north and west are the commercial districts..manufacturing, shipping, and

selling various consumable goods. In the east, to the 'horizon', appear to be

homes of various architectural influences..the more wealthy of said houses

bordering a small alpine lake and park. To the south, the middle-class homes

continue, thinning out just before the open gap to the highway beyond.

As for where you stand..it is the Midgaard City Square..Several government

offices and the larger buildings can be found on the sides of the slightly

misnomered elliptical, cobblestoned intersection. No actual automobile traffic

passes here, being routed through the side streets..this is a strictly

pedestrian and bicycle zone. A large, granite fountain with a statue of Odin

atop it towers nearly two stories prominantly in the center. There are also

benches about for taking a quiet repose from the hustle of daily life.

Tyr Road [200](#228RL)

The 200 block of Tyr Road is almost exclusively fancy hotels and high-rise

apartment buildings. Available in a wide range of designs, from the mundane

box-shape, to more architecturally enthralling towers such as 'The Obelisk'.

Housing this close to the middle of everything isn't cheap, but it isn't as

expensive as owning your own home farther out to the east, either. The area is

also clean..and a few commercial buildings are scattered about..though they're

rather limited.

Magus' Citadel: Central Hallway(#1733R)

This long hallway is a truly inspiring engineering feat, making you wonder when

it was built, and who would attempt such a task. It is easily a hundred and

fifty feet from one end to the other, thirty feet across, and 40 feet high. It

seems to have been hewn from a natural cavern, and several massive arches help

to support the heavy ceiling.

There are two levels to this main hallway, the main, ground level, and the

balcony on the sides. The floor of the hallway is tiled, the intricate pattern

not visible as you look down, but apparent when you glance around and take in

the room as a whole. Spiraling iron staircases in each corner lead to the

balconies, each about 20 feet off the main floor. The stone balconies have

little ornementation, apparently because they provide nothing more then access

to the doors and rooms on the side of the hallway. The walls on the main floor

are lined with bizarre statuary, portraying various creatures from myth and

legend.

The room is lit solely by torchlight, the torches themselves mounted on

the railing of the balcony. The effect leaves the room dark and shadowed,

giving a feeling of being buried alive despite the massive dimensions of the

chamber. The flickering firelight is ominous, most certainly, but also, you

feel, fitting...

A small staircase at the opposite end of the hallway leads down several

feet, ending in a massive pair of wooden doors. The ornementation on the doors

seem to indicate that that is the main room of this dwelling.

Pencil Sketch

---- If you have Pueblo; the picture to the left is the sketch just pretend

it's not colored in. ^^

This is a beautiful pencil sketch of a young girl around the age of seventeen.

Her face is heart shaped with large dark eyes and an expression hard to

describe...but something between worry and girlish innocentce. Her hair is long

and lush..pulled back in a high ponytail, cassading down her back to her waist

and a few tendrils of hair framing her face. She's wearing plain looking dark

robes..with long flowing sleaves and a full bottom skirt...mostly hidding her

figure except for the curves of her hips and chest. The drawing is very well

done...not so livelike as most...but if anyone used enough imaganation, they'd

bealbe to point out the girl if they saw her...if she's even real.

This ancient catacomb, perhaps a relic of some forgotten engineering project,

has been... retrofitted to serve Magus' needs. Approximately 30' x 40' x 10',

it's certainly a good size void. The floor and walls appear to hewn from solid

stone; the work is crude, but functional. Several shelves line the north and

south walls, each carrying jars, vials, tomes, and various other questionable

arcane items...

The most unique structre present is the circle in the center of the room.

A traditonal pentagram, carved straight out of the stone floor, serves as the

focal piece. Several concentric circles, painted a dark purple, surround the

central sigil. Overall, the diagram is easily 10' in diameter. Lit candles line

the outer circumference of the pentagram, at one foot intervals, their light

being the only illumination in this dark room.

has been... retrofitted to serve Magus' needs.

Iron Golem> Eponine stands up and walks over to him...trying to peer around him

to look inside the open doors, "What's down there anyway..."

Iron Golem> Eponine looks over to the door he pointed at and turns around to

walk toward it....glancing back at the doors before entering the other room.

Iron Golem> Eponine walks up the staircase, opening the doors to the armory and

stepping inside.

Iron Golem> Eponine has left.
