Review:
A fairly good CD. I like more than 50% of the tracks. I really DISLIKE Miaka's songs, just because the girl's singing voice is...uh...less than desirable. Tamahome's song is halfway decent, because the backup instruments are very good...but he's not that great in the singing department either. Hotohori's song is excellent. Now Yui's songs...left me in a bit of a quandary. I don't like them very much, but she IS a good singer, in my opinion...so I don't know whether to reccomend them or not. Nuriko's tracks were good, though I prefer Otome Ranman, since it's a bit more upbeat. Chichiri and Tasuki's songs are quite excellent...I like playing them over and over, which drives my roommate insane. The less said about Mitsukake's song, the best. Chiriko's first song is REALLY good...I'm not really sure about the second one. Something in it, probably the style of the song, which I don't think goes well with Chiriko's voice, bugs me. The CD ends with Itooshii Hito no Tameni, the staple of Fushigi Yuugi CDs.
Review:
Seiryuu Counter Attack
1. Prologue-Departure to the Front (instrumental)
2. Wandering (Nakago...I think)
3. Never Get Away (Suboshi)
4. Kooritachi no Jisonshin [Kooritachi no Puraido](Soi)
5. Itooshi Hito no Tameni (instrumental)
6. Promise Love (Miaka?)
7. Nocturne (Amiboshi)
8. (???) (Soi)
9. Tokimeki no Doukasen (instrumental)
10. Legacy (Seishuku)
11. Sad Gales (???)
12. Seiryuu God Unsealing (instrumental)
13. Blue Eyes...Blue (Nakago)
This is a VERY good CD. There are only two tracks on the entire thing that I dislike...I don't like Promise Love very much...and as for Blue Eyes Blue...ugh...whoever came up with that needs to be burned at the stake. The instrumental pieces are very well done, and I like the Prologue, Wandering, and Legacy for the pure majesty of the music. The Amiboshi and Suboshi songs are wonderful...and I also like Soi's songs. The entire CD is great, so long as you skip 6 and 13. :)
