Sarah Vaughn was one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. Many regard her as the best even though she never had the acclaim of Ella or Billie.

I love her song "misty"

Carmen McRae 1920-1994

During her long career, McRae made over 20 albums, including "I Am Music on Blue Note," "It Takes a Whole Lot
of Human Feelings," and "Portrait of Carmen." Her final album, the 1990 release "Carmen Sings Monk," lyrics set
to classic Thelonius Monk, was a bold triumph. My favorate one is
"with one more look at you"

Billie Holiday
She was a modest women trying to do the best she could with what she had. She tried at least thirteen jobs. Rousseau and Marx wrote about it and talked about and tried to convince people that they shared common problems. They became well known and successful doing it. Billie Holiday wrote about and sang about her problems and her life.
