Episode 7: The Night Before The CarnivalAfter the incident with Kagato, Tenchi's household begins to settle down, at least that's what he hoped. But the house begins to go crazy as soon as Ryoko and Ayeka compete with each other to get Tenchi's affection. After learning from Sasami about love books which supposedly teaches a person how to win the love of another earth styel, they both begin to do a lot of crazy things which confuses Tenchi on why they are acting so weird. Eventually he finds out what's going on and tells them that those love books they're reading are ten years old. Washu then shows up showing everyone the new copy which shows that Ryoko and Ayeka are the worst match for Tenchi and the she's a perfect match for him. After all their plans fail, Ryoko and Ayeka team up in order to get rid of the other competition like Mihoshi and Washu so that they can be alone with him. After sending them away, Ryoko doublecrosses Ayeka and ties her up in the shed, allowing her to sneak into Tenchi's room. However, her plan doesn't work and Ayeka is able to free herself and tries to stop Ryoko by fighting her. In the end neither of them get Tenchi.
