My First Kitty Girl Story

By Amythest Cat

It was a cold and rainy night in Minchuri City. "Oh yuck!" thought the catgirl as she opened up the library doors to a gust of wind and rain. Her ears flattened against her head impulsively and she clutched a stack of books to her chest. She sighed, "this isn't the kind of night I wanted for my first date," Meiki thought gloomily. "Why couldn't it be sunny, or perhaps a nice little spring shower and a rainbow? This is just my luck." With that thought she reached the bottom of the steps just as a car drove through a muddy puddle at her feet.

"Ohhhh…" she wailed, "I'm soaked…and my brand new fuku, it's ruined!" Meiki's tail puffed indignantly and her shoulders dropped. She turned to waggle a paw at the offending vehicle, but who ever it was had already turned the corner. She stamped her foot once, splashing more water on her leg, and then calmed herself. She wasn't gonna help herself by standing here and fuming, she could just make the bus if she hurried a little, or she could just go straight to Inuki's, but she did not want him to see her like this. She sighed again, as she looked down at her skirt confirming her suspicions that it was now brown and wet and not a crisp white with purple trim. "Ohh…" she sighed again as she plodded towards the bus stop.

Meiki walked down the street gloomily, contemplating her dreary situation as she went. She would have to shower again, she had this morning to try to save time, and dry her hair by eight o'clock. She looked at her watch, it was already six fifteen. Also, there wasn't any way she could ignore her soaked and stained school uniform. Mother had spent fifteen whole koku on it for her, she didn't even want to think of that embarrasing lunchroom scene in which her last one was ruined. This was her allowance for three weeks. Then her tail dropped even further as she realized she still had lunches to make for her little brother and sister. Well, at least I've gotten my schoolwork out of the way for tonight, if that hasn't also been drenched. Just as she started to peek into her folder, a car taped its horn beside her. She yelped and her books went flying. "Hey, what'd you have to go and do that for?" she exclaimed at the car, then bowed and flushed deep pink when she saw whose car it was. "Inuki-san, pardon me, I didn't mean to yell at you." She set about scampering around quickly gathering up her books. "Meiki's, it's alright, it was my fault, I shouldn't have startled you like that," he said as he got out of his car at the curb and came around the front towards her. "I apologize Meiki Saotomi," he settled down on both knees and looked up at her with his puppy eyes. "Would you ever think to forgive me?"

At this the unfortunate little catgirl burst into a giggle, he always could make her laugh, even during the worst times. "Of course I forgive you silly, why wouldn't I?"

"I dunno," he shrugged sheepishly as he rose to his feet again, standing a full head above her. "I thought girls liked to spurn guys whenever they had the chance," he said mischievously.

She gave an indignant little huff and set her books more securely in her arms, but she couldn't supress the smile that was invading her lips now. It was only then that Inuki realized Meiki's full condition. "Meiki, your soaked. I should have noticed that earlier. Here." His school jacket, well at least what passed as his, a black trench coat with their school crest on the left breast, was being slipped over her shoulders before she could form protest. Not like she would have. His musky sent filled her nostrils pleasantly and she relaxed a little more. He opened his passenger door for her and she slipped in gratefully.

"What were you doing out right now Meiki, I thought you'd be at home getting ready." He asked as he flipped to her favorite radio station. "A Cat's Fantasy", the theme to a new tri-vid series, was currently playing.

"I just thought I'd get my homework done. I didn't know it was gonna rain anything like this at all."

"Well, that's certainly true, this is a little more then the occasional sprinkles that had been forecast for today," at that moment there was a bright flash of lightening and a loud clap of thunder, as if to illustrate his point. Meiki jumped a fraction in her seat and her ears and tail frizzed with the sudden burst of electricity. She purred lightly and unconsciously to calm herself. Inuki rested a hand on hers for a moment

"Well, what about yourself," she tried to remark conversationally, "You weren't supposed to be by for me until another hour and a half from now?"

He flushed noticeably, "I, well… it was supposed to be a surprise."

"Oh…" and the flush visited her cheeks. She busied herself studying her hands.

"Though… I guess this'll work. We'll just make one quick stop downtown then head over to your house so you can … make some final adjustments." He smiled at her brightly, his eyes lit with amusement. "How does that sound to you, we'll just have time to make diner at eight thirty."

She grinned back, then sunk into her seat, "though I still have to clean my uniform now and make lunches for Hitomi and Amano."

"Don't worry, I'll make their lunches. Amano gets two toriganni , a scoop of rice with sesame seeds and an apple juice. Hitomi gets a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, an orange and a thermos of milk, right?" Meiki nodded. He continued "I'm pretty sure we can convince your mom to take care of your fuku, I don't believe it could have been your fault. There, all settled then?" He looked at her with a sideways inquiring grin and she nodded again in ascent. "Good. Now, what are you thinking of having for diner, I'm thinking of chicken Parmesan myself."

Authors note ~ There should be more to come soon on Meiki and Inuki, I just have to move them off paper and polish it up a bit. In the mean time please let me know what you think, I'm eager to know. Just send paw prints here! Thank you!
