Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp  2003 Experience
Hi Interested Viewer,
During the Labor Day Weekend this year, I was again in Charis Camp in Chilliwack, B..C.. for a 4-day 3-night living retreat camp of youths for Western Canada. During that period, I've met many different spiritual committed youths from different regions in Canada and U.S.
The camp was an interesting camp for me, because it brought my spiriitual faith level to an emotional high once again. This year's speaker is from the HK Diocese:  Fr. Chan Wing-Chiu or in other words he likes to be called  'Chiu Sun Fu' in cantonese. I also was quite impressed with the organizers of this year's camp, since the camp includes many activities like prayer, sharings, bible reading, powerful praise and worship sessions, and also included in this camp is a fun Big TV game, which was really a great game for team building and team work. I also had to opportunity to work the cameras for this living camp. Even though I don't know much about camera shooting and recording, I really had to thank the WCCCLC audio visual group led by Andy Chan and Joey Lau for guiding me into use and formality of the equipment. I also had the opportunity to share about my experience during this year's evangelization concert with Fr. Yan.  Also I like to share about my experience about the nature walk we had this year, which was great because I had a moment to be silent with myself and really dedicated my time to hear the beautiful voices of nature and listen to the voice of the Lord. . Anyways, by the time that the camp closed on Labor Day, I had met a lot of  new and old campers of the present and past and enjoyed being with and sharing with them about my experiences.
In conclusion I will like to say that during the 4-day 3-night camp experience, there was prayers, bible sharings, group discussions, and most touching feel of all : praise and worship time and through those activities I've met many new friends and learned how to pray together. I hope my experience will touch and influence you and hoping to see you all next year for the W.C.C.C.L.C camp during Labor Day 2004 weekend. I hope you've enjoyed my testimony.
Yours truly,
Winston Lai
