Aino Minako
"Love of Everything"

" I couldn't just run away and leave my comrade alone! Now I'm ordering you, as the leader!"
Some may look at Minako-chan as one of the ditzier, less developed characters of Sailormoon. But in fact, her character is the one who launched the entire series; from Naoko-san's other manga, "Code Name: Sailor V". I've read more about Aino Minako, and found that she is actually one of the MOST developed characters, with the most experience. You see, many people fail to realize that it's Sailor Venus who is the leader of the Senshi.
Minako was the first of the inner senshi to be awakened by Artemis. But her memories of her past weren't revived until the last chapter of Sailor V. When she realized that she was actually Sailor Venus, she traveled to Tokyo with Artemis to find her allies, and that's where Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon begins! Sailor Venus helped Sailormooon and the others fight by training them through a video game, She also posed as the moon Princess until Usagi fully recovered her memories. Minako also has a lot of grief in her past. After she found out that one of the people she loved was her enemy, he told her that her love life would be hopeless forever, and that she was born to only fight. But that doesn't keep Minako-chan from having a boy-crazy side!!! Minako is also much different in the anime than the manga, as most of the characters are. The anime displays more of her ditzy, transparent side, without really going deep into her character. But the manga has examples of Minako's inner-most thoughts, her dreams, and her ambitions. Her attacks are also a lot cooler! Yet, there are times when she forgets that she is leader of the senshi, and she sometimes doubts that she's qualified. In the super S manga, she is the last senshi to get a new transformation, and Artemis is the one who helps her discover her inner stregnth. She's actually really close with that kitty ^-^! Anyways, like I said before, Minako is one of the most developed characters of Sailormoon. Artemis also notices how beautiful she is, and how closly she resembles the Goddess of Beauty, Venus (or Aphrodite). Her name suits her well, because she represents love, andeverything that is strong and beautiful.
