=========Pokemon HAHAHAHAHA!========= =========By A-kun========= =========Chapter 9: Dangerous Heights========= Anything between * and * is translated Pokemon speech. Anything between [ and ] is thought Jessie, Fox and Ben had begun traveling early in the day, but they stopped because of the extreme heat along the trail. "Meowth! I'd heard rumor dat da area near da Rock Tunnel was really hot and dry, but I didn't expect dis." Fox said, exhuasted. "At...least.... you... don't... have... dark... fur. " Ben squeaked as he laid on his side, trying to cool off. "Maybe if you two got into these pokeballs you'd feel better. I could just walk to the cave with less waiting." Jessie remarked. "Jessie! You know dat I can't stand dose things!" Fox said. "It's either that or get meltdown when your charm heats up." Jessie remarked. "It's times like dese dat I wish I wassa water Pokemon." Fox grumbled. Jessie pulled out Fox's pokeball and drew him into it. Ben, however, didn't have a pokeball, so she had to bring out a fresh pokeball. "Here we go, Ben." Jessie yelled, throwing the pokeball. With a loud thump, Ben hit the ground. The pokeball missed him. Jessie retrieved the pokeball and dropped it on him. The pokeball absorbed him. Within seconds, the pokeball spat him right back out and returned to Jessie's hand. "What the... Ben, did you struggle?" Jessie asked. Ben shook his head. "Hmmm, maybe it's because your DNA still reads something like a human's. Or maybe you can just break out without trying. Either way, Ben, you'll have to suffer." Jessie said, apologetically. She picked up the now poodle-sized Pokemon and Ben's pack. They began walking when Jessie heard something behind them. "Wait! Hold up!" Jessie turned to see Misty and Ash running toward them. Pikachu and Zappy followed closely behind. "What's wrong?" Jessie asked. "Shelly's been kidnapped!" Ash said as he and Misty slowly to a halt. Zappy and Pikachu skidded to a halt past all of them. "Shelly? Who would do that?" Ben asked, tiredly. "No idea, but they kidnapped her from our hotel room last night while we were at the diner with you two. The strange thing is, they only took her. They didn't even bother getting her money or Pokemon." Ash answered as he recovered. "Shelly never ran into Greg or James, so it's not likely that they did it. Did anyone else see her?" Jessie inquired. "Well, an elderly man said he saw a girl just like her coming out of a theater and getting on a bus. But, he said everyone on the bus was chanting something about Pokemon." Misty responded. "I heard that some Poke-cults have started up in Lavender Town. Our best bet would be the check there for Shelly." Jessie replied. "And the fastest way there is by the Rock Tunnel, but without a Pokemon that can use a lighting technique, they say that there's a possibility that you might not get out of there." Ash mused. "Don't worry. I know the secret of the Rock Tunnel. I grew up in Lavender Town." Jessie said proudly. "Can we go? I melting in my own sweat." Ben managed to squeak out. "I don't think I'll be able to get used to that." Ash commented. "Well, in any case, let's get going." Misty said. The group hurried onward. The leader of Team Rocket sat in the van, awaiting reports from his teams. A Persian was perched on his lap, but Giovanni did not care. Suddenly, a screen lit up and face appeared on it. "Well?" Giovanni inquired. "Most of the town is secured, sir. We've begun a blockade of the city and soon we'll have Silph Co. under our control as well." an elite Team Rocket member answered. "Good. What of the Gyms and their leaders?" Giovanni inquired. "Both Gyms have been sealed off from the inside. We think it's the work of the Psychic Gym, but the fact remains that we can't get in. We've posted guards so that no one else can get in either." the elite member answered. "Hmmm, good enough for now. What news from the special strike teams?" Giovanni inquired, looking at the Silph Co. building. "No progress yet. Silph Co. knew what they were doing when they set up their defenses." the human declared. "Hmm, once the town is secured, send a division back to guard Headquarters while we're gone. I don't want to our secret base getting found by a ten year old kid." Giovanni answered. It was quite fortunate for Ash and company that someone had gotten the bright idea of setting up a Pokemon hospital just outside of the Rock Tunnel. Not just a Pokemon hospital. An AIR-CONDITIONED Pokemon hospital. The group rested in the cool lobby as their pokemon were restored to full strength. "All right, watch and learn." Jessie said, before walking over to the nurse on staff and inquiring, "Excuse me, but may I borrow a Lavender Lamp?" The nurse's left eyebrow rose. "Jessie? Is that you?" the nurse asked. Jessie froze before she recognized the nurse. It was her Elementary school pal, Nurse Jane Joy. "Jane! How nice to see you." Jessie said, sweatdropping. "Jessie, I thought you joined that Sprocket group." Jane responded, her eyes narrowing. "I did, but when I saw what they did, I just couldn't stay. I left and I'm on my way to being a Pokemon Master." Jessie replied, mostly telling the truth. "Hmmm, well, if you HAVE changed your ways, I can give you one. BUT! I'm coming with you." Jane declared. Jessie thought about it and shrugged. There was no harm in Jane coming with. "All right." Jessie answered. "Since you ask for it, I take it you're in a hurry." Jane asked. "Now that you mention it, we're in an extreme hurry. A friend of a friend was kidnapped and we think the kidnappers are on their way to Lavender Town." Jessie responded. "Kidnappers?! Right, let's go!" Jane said, grabbing a special lamp light. One of the other nurses waved to them as they left. It wasn't long before the group was heading down into the deep, dark, murky depths of the Rock Tunnel. Fox had been released from his pokeball and was walking with the group. "So, what's this Lavender Lamp do?" Misty asked. "Well, I'll explain. For some reason, the Rock Tunnel has grown moss on the walls. It's a special moss, only found in the Rock Tunnel." Jane began. "Why is it so special?" Misty asked as the last of the light from the entrance faded away and they were left in total darkness. Jane clicked on the Lavender Lamp and pointed it all around the cavern. The moss-covered walls, ceiling and floor began to glow as the light from the Lamp struck the moss, illuminating the entire cavern. Ash, Ben, Fox and Misty stood in awe of the wonderous sight. "All forms of light act normally in the Rock Tunnel, except for Lavender-colored light. For some reason, this color of light releases a chemical in the moss to make it glow. It'll take a while to return to normal, so even if we get lost, we'll know where we've been." Jessie finished. "So, why don't you string up a bunch of Lavender-colored lights in here?" Ash asked. "The moss can't stand light very much. In sessions of prolonged exposure, the moss has been known to grow toxic to the touch and can even kill humans and pokemon." Jane responded. Most of the group began sweatdrop. "It takes a full twelve hours of constant light for it to grow toxic, so we'll be fine. But the fact remains that it's not healthy to even breathe once it turns toxic." Jessie replied. "And it regrows faster than we could possibly kill it, so we've pretty much accepted that it's a part of the cave." Jane replied. Just then, a massive Onix appeared in front of them, startling everyone. "SQUIRT! WATER GUN!" Ash cried, unleashing Shelly's Wartortle. The Wartortle focused on the Onix and unleashed a torrent of water. Suddenly, Ben dashed towards the massive creature. "BEN!" Jessie and Fox cried, worried that the Onix might fall and crush the tiny Eevee. Then, in a burst of pink light, the Onix vanished. "What..." Jessie began. "It was going to be in our way if we beat it, so I captured in a pokeball." Ben said, rolling the pokeball over to Jessie. "Too bad I didn't think of that." Ash said, drawing the Wartortle back. "It's probably going to be a one-time thing. Let's get moving." Ben said. "Come on, you gutless wonders! You call that 'hitting'? I call it 'slapping'!" Yamcha taunted as he paced back and forth, carefully watching the Pokemon in front of him. The Gym's two Mascots, Hitmolee and Hitmochan, were striking their punching bags with strikes that Yamcha himself would've been hard-pressed to match. The Machokes, Machops, Mankeys and Primeapes were pressing themselves and even the humans were doing a fine job of building up their strength. [These guys'll be the strongest in the world when I'm through with them.] Yamcha thought to himself. Next door, the Psychics were training just as hard, only with their mental skills rather than their physical skills. Sabrina and her Alakazam, Piccolo, were dueling with psywaves. Finally, Piccolo shook it's head as Sabrina began panting. [You're a lot stronger than you used to be, Sabrina. Before, you could only match me at a third of my strength for a few minutes. Now you've matched me at my highest level. You'll be stronger than us all one day.] Piccolo thought to itself. The explosion shook the building. In a panic, humans and Pokemon alike both raced around, attempting to find the source of the explosion. Then, a second explosion rocked the building. Sirens began blaring. Outside, a young man with short blue hair tossed a blanket on to the razor-sharp barb-wire on the fence that circled the building. In seconds, he was up and over the fence and blanket. Laughing, he raced off into the distance. After finding about fifty-three lost trainers, getting lost once and subduing various other pokemon, with Ash catching quite a few, the massive group managed to make it to the other side of the Rock Tunnel. The other pokemon trainers took the oppurtunity to enjoy the light of the sun. "Jane, thanks a lot for helping us through." Jessie said. "No problem. Give me a call sometime, I'd love to chat." Jane responded. "Let's get going!" Ben said. Jessie waved goodbye as the group hurried off to Lavender Town. It wasn't long before they reached Lavender Town. They slowed to a halt as something that was grossly out of place caught their attention. Something that did not belong in the town or at least not where it was. "Come one, come all, to the Pokemon Tower of HORROR!" cried a joyful cheer from a happy announcer. She was dressed in an outfit much like the kind Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, wore. In front of the tower was a mob of tourists and dazed townspeople. Jessie stared at the sight before rage overtook her. She stormed up to the crowd and shoved people out of her way, eventually making it to the front of the crowd as Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Zappy, Fox and Ben followed her. "What's going on?" Ash inquired. "We've got something more important to do right now." Jessie answered. She broke free of the crowd as the announcer drew near. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Jessie snarled, grabbing the announcer and yanking her down so that she and Jessie were eye to eye. "Um, announcing the opening of the Pokemon Tower of Horror..." the poor girl whimpered. "This is a sacred place. What are you doing building a theme park here?!" Jessie snarled. "I don't know, ma'am. I'm just an announcer!" the girl cried. "Then. Who. Is. The. Owner." Jessie said in a voice that left no room for stupid acts or fumbling. "Mr. Sugita is inside." the girl squeaked out. "Guess we gotta go in to see him." Ben remarked. "Top floor." the girl whimpered. "Right, let's go." Jessie snapped. The girl broke free and recomposed herself. "I'm afraid, even if you ARE going to see Mr. Sugita, you'll have to buy tickets for you AND your pokemon." the girl answered. Jessie sent a sharp glare at her. The girl managed to keep her business face in place as her spine turned to jell-o. "Fine. How much?" Jessie demanded. "Four pokemon and three humans, that would be... a thousand yen." the girl responded. Jessie found she had very little in the way of cash. Ash paid. "Well, let's go." Ash said. They hurried into the Tower. "By the way, Jessie, why are you so upset at this amusement park being here?" Misty inquired. "It's a cemetery." Jessie responded. "....... who would put an amusement park in a cemetery? That's like spitting on the foot of a three-hundred foot Charizard." Misty responded. "Not only that, but humans and Pokemon alike have been buried here for years. This tower is a representation of our respect for the dead. To turn it into an amusement park is unforgiveable." Jessie replied. "Not to mention stupid." Ash commented. "I thought the same thing." came a voice from ahead of them. "Brock!" Ash said, identifying the Pewter City Gym Leader. Brock pushed away from the wall he had been resting on and faced the group. "What are you doing here?" Meowth asked. "I heard about the mischief being planned, but I never expected they'd actually get the approval of the city to do this. I was hoping to convince the city to stop this stupid escapade before they finished, but I was too late. Now, we've got bigger problems." Brock said. "How so?" Jessie asked. "I overheard two kids say that the ghosts weren't very scary until the third floor. I think all this tourism and stuff has really angered the ghosts of this tower." Brock replied. "That's where the Pokemon were first buried." Jessie remarked. "Exactly. I was trying to think of a way to stop the ghosts when you guys came along. Got any ideas?" Brock inquired. "We can't just get rid of the ghosts. They belong here." Ben replied. "Then what do we do?" Brock asked. "Well, the ghosts got mad because of this amusement park. Well, what if we got rid of the amusement park?" Misty inquired. "They'd probably stop. If they don't, we'll have to stop them by whatever means necessary." Jessie replied. "Let's go den! MEOWTH!" Fox joined in. "PIKA PIKA!" Pikachu added. "PIKACHU!" Zappy joined in. The group began looking for the stairs. Greg glared at the young man in front of him. The young man had a cocky grin and sharp glare. He also looked a lot like Greg, accept for the fact that he was three years older. Greg didn't feel like speaking with him. "So, after all I did to help you, you decided to SCREW up." the young man said, his grin turning into a look of disgust. "Shut up." Greg responded. "First, after I just BARELY managed to convince Uncle Oak to give you a pokemon and you just give it away. You don't even TRY to train it properly. You just thought you were so smart. Well, la-di-FRICKIN'-DAH. Second, joining those losers at Team Rocket. Third, getting caught. Need I go on?" the young man inquired. "I said, SHUT UP." Greg growled. "So, where is your Charmander now?" the young man asked. "Why do you want to know?" Greg asked. "I'm your older brother. I'm going to TRY and salvage as much of the Oak name as I can after you dragged it through the compost heap, into the belly of a full oil tanker and then decided to smoke a cigarette with it. If it weren't for the fact that Uncle is such an intelligent and revered man, you could've crushed MY chances at getting into the Pokemon League." the young man responded. "Fine, Gary. You wanna play hero? Fine. Ben has my Charmander." Greg replied haughtily. "Our COUSIN has your Pokemon? You _are_ stupid. Enjoy your prison stay. Oh, and don't bend over in the shower. Allow yourself at least a SHRED of dignity." Gary Oak declared before standing up and leaving the room. The guards dragged Greg back to his cell. They happened to learn a few new swear words while they were at it. The business man frowned as he watched the screen. There were two Pokemon Gym Leaders, three people he didn't recognize and four pokemon charging through the lower levels of his amusement park. And they were on their way to stop him. He snorted. If they got out of hand or actually made it through the ghosts, he'd just release his captives and they'd pummel the upstarts. The second floor was filled with animatronics and really cheap "scary" music. The animatronics were so cheap that half the time they didn't work. The other half of the time, they shot out of their hiding spots and slammed into the far wall, startling the group for a second. And of course, whoever purchased the "ghosts" was obviously on a tight budget or a real penny pincher as they were nothing more than napkins with marker blotches for eyes that were on strings being tugged around by an upside-down train set. The third floor, however, was much different. The cheap animatronics had been torn from their sockets violently and Gastlys filled the room. Ash scanned them. The pokedex remarked that these were far more violent than most standard Gastlys. Ash mildly wondered how it knew if the Gastlys were even angry. "Um, how do we get pass them?" Ash asked. No sooner had he spoken than the Gastlys focused on the group. "Eep." everyone (including Pikachu and Zappy) "Eep"ed. The Gastlys charged. "Okay, what works on them?!" Brock inquired. "I'm sure anything that isn't purely physical will work." Ash replied. "Crud. Ben, you and I are useless." Fox replied. "Right. Let's get EEVEE... er, out of here." Ben said. "Go see if you can make it to the top floor." Jessie yelled as the group unleashed their pokemon. Ben and Fox charged past the Gastlys and up the next flight stairs. "EKANS! POLIWAG! POLIWHIRL! STARYU! STARMIE!" Misty cried. "SHAMROCK! HARDROCK! STONEMAN! FLARE! PEN-PEN! SUCKER! MINK! OX!" Jessie yelled. "SQUIRT! KOFFING! PIDGEOTTO! SIR STINGS-A-LOT! ZAPPY! PIKACHU!" Ash joined in. "ONIX! GEODUDE! GRAVELER!" Brock finished. "MASS ATTACK!" they ordered in unison. "GO POWER RANGERS!" Ash yelled. Everyone and everything stopped and looked at Ash, who blushed sheepishly. Meanwhile, two floors up, Meowth and Ben were skidding to a halt, something that had been happening quite a lot recently. Before them was a massive purple creature that was a lot more threatening than the Gastlys surrounding it. A spectral hand shot at the ground they were standing on, but they narrowly avoided it. "FOX! I'll keep them distracted. You shut this place down!" Ben yelled. "MEOWTH! Dat's crazy!" Fox replied. "Look, I'm better at dodging, you're more intimidating. You go!" Ben said, backflipping away from another strike. Fox hesistated, then raced up the stairs. Ben stumbled on his landing, but managed to dodge as the Gastlys began doing strafing runs. He rolled out of the way as the attacks continued. Below, the others weren't doing well. The Gastlys were in higher in number than all of the Pokemon Trainers had anticipated. "Man, this is getting ugly!" Brock stated. "No kidding. Squirt! Return!" Ash said, pulling the beaten Wartortle back before it fainted. "Good thinking. If a Ghost Pokemon kills your Pokemon, rumor has it that your Pokemon'll become a Ghost Pokemon too." Brock remarked. Slowly, but surely, the group began summoning their Pokemon back. "If this gets any worse, then..." Misty began before a Gastly lunged for her. "PIKACHU!" Zappy and Pikachu cried in unison, blasting the Gastly into a stunned state. "What's really bad is the fact that Ghost Pokemon only stop moving again. You can't really defeat them." Jessie stated. "I just hope Fox and Ben are having an easier time than we are." Brock said, drawing back his Geodude. Meanwhile, above the rest of the action, Fox was doing some "persuasive talking". The tall, green-haired, green-eyed business man, Jonathan Sugita, was not willing to talk with a stupid Pokemon, so Fox took direct action. "AAAAAGH! I'M SCARRED FOR LIFE!" Jonathan cried as Fox scratched his face. "Trust me, it looks better now." Fox commented. Fox walked over to the control panel and hit the big red "OFF" button. Then, he heard an odd thump from his right. He walked over to the other door in the room, a really thick metal door, and managed to open it. Inside were roughly sixty Cubones and thirteen Marowaks. "Come on out, guys." Fox said, grinning. "NO! THOSE ARE... EEP!" Jonathan began, just before the contained Pokemon turned to look at him. The light reflected just perfectly off their eyes to give them that "DEMONICALLY POSSESSED" look as they charged. Jonathan screamed like a banshee and ran. The Haunter and Gastlys all paused and looked around as the lights died. Ben watched as a man with two sets of claw marks on his face run down the stairs and fall on his butt as he realized that the Haunter and Gastlys were no longer pre-occupied with the mechanical devices, the Pokemon or the Pokemon Trainers. Gastlys rose from the floor as Ash, Misty, Brock and Jessie ran up the staircase. Fox came down from the control room and the traveling companions all hurried to one side, so not to get in the way. Jonathan was held into place by two Marowaks. Jessie and Ash took the oppurtunity to scan everything in the room, just for records sake, of course. It was a good thing too. The Haunter flared with energy as the Gastly and Cubones danced around it in a strange ceremony. Finally, a column of light engulfed the room as the Haunter's body changed. As the light died, a black Pokemon stood where the Haunter had once been. It's glowing red eyes focused on Jonathan as it approached the quivering man. It grinned widely and spoke one word. "Boo." Jonathan screamed like a girl and fainted. Then, it turned to face the Pokemon Trainers. "Ah, greetings and welcome to Lavender Tower. You'll pardon us for having taken arms against you. We were being irritated by the machines, you see. And once your Meowth shut them down, we were able to figure out what truly happened." the creature spoke. A quick scan of it revealed it's name to be Gengar. "Um, how can you speak?" Ben inquired. "If we are not irritated, we can speak in any language we have ever heard." Gengar responded. "Hakuna Matata." a Gastly peeped. "Quiet you." Gengar responded. "Gastlys, Gengar, if it wouldn't trouble you too much, we have a friend in danger. She's been kidnapped..." Misty began as Brock took out a napkin and blew his nose. "Kidnapped? Very well. Since you helped up stop him, we'll help you." Gengar responded just before the Gastly vanished. After three minutes, the Gastlys returned to see Gengar, Brock, Jessie, Ash, Misty, Zappy, Pikachu, Ben and Fox playing a two deck game of "Go Fish". "Got any fours?" Gengar inquired of Brock. "Go fish." Brock responded. Gengar turned slightly as a Gastly hovered up and whispered into what might've been it's ear had it been a living creature that required ears. "The local cult was arrested earlier tonight and everyone who was kidnapped has been taken to the local hospital. That would be your best bet for looking for your friend." Gengar announced. "But first... got any Jacks?" Ben asked. "Go fish." Gengar replied. Finally, the Pokemon Trainers and their Pokemon headed off find Shelly. By morning, Lavender Tower was officially closed and the Historical Society of Lavender Town took possession of it to prevent it from being turned into an amusement park again. The Gengar and Gastlys returned to their duty of helping the visitors to the Tower contact friends, family or pokemon that had crossed to the other side. As for the Cubones and Marowaks, they returned to their duty of protecting the tower and the entire city (Yeah, they didn't do a good job before, but that's because they're mostly Cubones). As for Shelly, she came back from being brainwashed remarkably well. It wasn't long before she, Brock, Jessie, Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Zappy, Ben and Fox were leaving town. The panel clattered to the floor as the special agents, Butch and Cassidy slid into the Silph Co. building. "I can't believe we had to crawl in through the vents. That's so last year." Butch commented at normal conversational tone, his voice unable to go to a lower volume after years heavy smoking. To be perfectly honest, it was a surprise to those who had seen him smoke that he wasn't speaking via an electronic voice box by now. Cassidy shushed him and looked around. She pulled out a radio which blared to life. "HAVE YOU TWO IDIOTS GOTTEN INSIDE YET?" asked Giovanni via radio. Cassidy and Butch nearly had a heart attack as Cassidy frantically cranked down the radio's volume. "Yes, boss, we have. Send in another team, we'll need back up." Cassidy whispered. "Good. We'll send them in immediately." Giovanni responded. =============================================================================================== You're no doubt wondering where Jonathan came from. Too bad. That'll remain a secret. Silph Co. Invaded! Saffron City counter-attack! Pokemon Wars! (But, if that's true, where's Princess Leia? Luke Skywalker? Darth Vader?! Obi-Wan Kenobi!??! HAN SOLO!?!? (apologies to the Eternal Lost Lurker) From Chapter 6.... Shelly, Misty and the pokemon all stretched out. It had been a long ride and was extremely boring. "Too bad we had to miss Mt. Moon. It would've been nice to have a chance at catching a Clefairy." Ash commented. "We can go back there another day. Let's get a room at a hotel. I'm tired." Misty said, yawning. "Yeah, I guess we'd just interupt the lame plot the Author has set up there anyway." Ash responded. Ash learned the hard way never to insult one's Author as Pikachu and Zappy's ability to generate lightning "mysteriously" got out of hand. After a few bajillion volts of electricity flowed through him, Ash collapsed. "Jerk!" Misty yelled at the Author. Misty learned the hard way never to insult one's Author as Pikachu and Zappy's ability to generate lightning "mysteriously" got out of hand again... From Chapter 7.... "All right. If this one breeds well, we'll be able to make a fortune on the Shade Market." Tim laughed. "That's a really stupid name." John commented. "Shade Market?" Tim inquired. "Tim." John remarked. John yelped as Tim lunged at him. From Chapter 8.... "We're going out to eat..." Misty said, blushing a bit. "Okay. I'm going to see what else is in town." Shelly answered. Misty smiled and backed out of the room, closing the door behind her. Suddenly, Shelly caught sight of something in the sky. It was a bird. It was a plane. No, it was a bird. It was SUPER-FEAROW! From Chapter 8.... Ash and Misty hurried down the hall as Shelly looked after them. She smiled a knowing smile and re-entered the hotel room before heading to the vid-phone and dialing a number. "Hello? Oh, it's you, Shelly." the woman on the phone said. "Hello, Mrs. Catch'em. It may interest you to know that..." Shelly began, before taking a serious tone, "You see... Ash kinda fell into a cursed spring, so now he's a girl forever. I know, tragic, but on the bright side, he got a girlfriend out of the exchange... Hello? Hello? Are you there, Mrs. Catch'em?" From Chapter 8.... "Misty?" Ash asked, looking up from his BLT sandwich. "Hmm? What is it?" Misty inquired. "Well, you seem kinda strange." Ash replied. "I'm just thinking. I wonder how it might've turned out if we were both a little different. We get along so well, I can hardly imagine what it might be like." Misty replied. "Hmmm, I'd probably have ruined your bike or something and you'd probably be hounding me about it." Ash answered. They both burst into laughter. Then they were attacked by the Canon-Ash and Canon-Misty. From Chapter 8.... "Misty?" Ash asked, looking up from his BLT sandwich. "Hmm? What is it?" Misty inquired. "Well, you seem kinda strange." Ash replied. "I'm just thinking. Isn't it weird that the Author decided to write your name as *Catch'em* rather than *Ketchum*?" Misty asked. "Yeah, but he's either too proud or too lazy to go back and fix it." Ash said. Just then, Pikachu and Zappy appeared and their ability to generate lightning "mysteriously" got out of hand yet again... From Chapter 8.... Pikachu looked left, then right, then left again. Zappy was coming closer and Pikachu had no idea of what to do. They had run around the room a few times with Zappy proving she could keep up with Pikachu. Pikachu was out of ideas and hiding places. "Pi... ka... chuuu....." Zappy declared. Just then, Pikachu realized something. She could just beat up Zappy. She unleashed her ultimate attack, Shinku Thunderken. Zappy collapsed as Pikachu faced the setting sun, bright red electricity forming the Kanji for "Whoop-@$$" glowing on her back.
