A poem by Jenevivu

When the black rains came,
and washed us away,
when the nightmare screamed on and on.
When the mists came down,
to cover the day,
the crows then sang their deadly song.

When all of the roses turned to snakes,
and all of my tears froze to my cheeks,
and the darkness fell,
our unknowing love,
illusion quietly ceased to speak.

When the blood flowed down,
and took me away,
and I knew that nothing could be released,
when the tears fell down,
and darkened the day,
I knew my pain could not be pleased.

When all of the roses turned to snakes,
and all of my tears froze to my cheeks,
and the darkness fell,
our unknowing love,
illusion quietly ceased to speak.

And now as I see you,
you take me away,
to the pit of sorrow,
and endless pain,
to the tower of twilight,
release the dark night,
and never take me back again.

When all of the roses turned to snakes,
and all of my tears froze to my cheeks,
and the darkness fell,
our unknowing love,
illusion quietly ceased to speak.

'Cause all I want is light.
