Indian Dessert Recipe for Ground Almonds in Ghee and Milk
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1/4 cup sugar
- fresh mint leaves (garnish)
TIP: You can usually find ground almonds at any local Indian food store.
FYI: If you are vegetarian, you may want to check the ghee before using it. Try getting a vegetarian
version of ghee from a specialty store instead.

To prepare:
- Place the ghee in a small pot
- Melt the ghee over the low heat, stir slow (do not burn)
- Reduce the heat, add the flour and stir frequently (remove any lumps)
- Add ground almonds to the mixture, stir constantly
- Slow add the milk and sugar, bring everything to a boil
- Continue to cook for at least 5 mins (or till liquid becomes smooth)
- Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with milk
If prefer, you can use coconut milk instead of ordinary milk.
