Sago Pudding

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz sago (1/2 packet)
  • 6 oz brown sugar
  • 6 oz can coconut milk
  • 32 oz water
  • Pandan leaves (optional)
  • 1 can tropical fruits (you can also use very ripe sweet bananas)
This is a delicious dessert dish which can be eaten hot or cold.

To prepare:

  • In a big pot, boil the water
  • Put sugar and pandan leaves (optional) into boiling water
  • Add in sago, stir periodically to ensure that the sago does not stick to the bottom (prevent being burnt)
  • Make sure the water is always boiling
  • Cooked the sago until transparent in colour (usually after 30 to 40 minutes)
  • Turn off heat, then stir in coconut milk
  • Serve it hot or let cool then chill in fridge
  • Top with your favourite fruit
